Very solid menu with many vegetation options. The homemade cakes were great. Décor was somewhat shabby.

Based on the Unilocal recommendations we gave this place a try on our way to Kansas. We had the turkey sandwich which was excellent. We also bought a couple of cookies that were great too. I would recommend the place and would eat there again if we were ever in the area.

Couldn’t love this place more if I tried. I’ve loved it since college and my son loves it now. We’ve followed it from location to location and are always happy. Juices and teas and cake and grilled cheeses and veggie tacos and all of it whole and good. Thanks for existing.

One of my favorite places that truly feels down to earth! Yummy smoothies, vegan friendly, delightful gluten free and vegan snacks and juices. This place truly feels like an honest non-corporate place ! Which is just how I like it !

Awesome experience and amazing food. First time in Norman to visit OU and so we wanted to have lunch in a unique place. The vegan choices were plentiful and all the food is 100 percent organic. The vegetable chile was great and sandwich with tempeh was incredible. Highly recommended!

Um. YUM. I’ve been into the Earth a couple times for local eggs. They average about $ 5/doz, so I only get them in a pinch, when my lady doesn’t get eggs from her hens that week. They carry small grocery items, some local milk, yogurt, a few meats, a few bulk dry goods, lots of bulk spices. Local breads, coffee and teas. Plus a few pantry items. This is the reason for 4 stars, cause their prices on these items are ridiculous. Down right laughable. This morning I stopped to pick up a smoothie. I got #8 banana + cocoa + pb with whole milk and I added some kale(they were out of spinach). Dude. This is better than I make at home. It’s like a milkshake, but not as sweet and I know it’s not cause I added kale and the rules say that makes it a green smoothie and healthy! Lol. It’s also all organic, which i thought was awesome. The menu said $ 5.99, I don’t know if they charged me extra for the handful of kale cause I didn’t get an itemized receipt. I also picked up a dark chocolate brownie on my way out, made in house. Because it’s rare to find dark chocolate baked goods and I can tell you this taste delicious. It’s very dark with a deep toasty flavor. And I’m eating it for breakfast because I’m an adult and can make those decisions. Very happy to have found a great smoothie and juice bar that isn’t Jamba.

If I’m in Norman, I’ll go to The Earth at least once(if not every hour on the hour.) It’s been my favorite place since undergrad at OU. The nostalgia is real every time I get to go in. Ok, enough with my sap. So, you’re looking at maybe going to The Earth? Do it. Here’s why: Tucked in the soul of the Norman community just a few blocks away from campus, it looks/feels like a home. There is great parking in the backyard along with a groovy patio and picnic table. Inside you order up at the bar and can cozy up in some inside to eat too. Bonus! There is a small area where you can pick up some groceries. Juice is straight up fresh. The Dragon Slayer shot does a body good with it’s heat — make sure you have some water handy to chase it! Food: The Moonmaiden is my go-to goodness. Grilled farmer’s cheese with avocado? Maybe add some tempeh? It’s practically perfect. Sides of chips or carrots are also served up. Get a fresh-baked pastry. The peanut butter choco-chip cookie will make for one happy belly.

If you enjoy all natural foods and a vegan friendly menu and atmosphere, then the Earth is for you. Unfortunately, I don’t have much experience with all natural foods and smoothies, so coming to The Earth was a bit of a shock to me and my friends. We were a bit clueless as to how the menu works, and even how to order our smoothies, but the staff were helpful and walked us through it when they saw our confused faces. The smoothies are a little over $ 6 bucks, and while they taste good, I don’t know if it’s worth that much. Overall, I can’t say I was such a fan, but I think the Earth is the perfect place for its target audience even if that doesn’t include me.

Excellent, friendly, local, super healthy place. I had the Southwest Salad and also a green smoothie. The salad was just freaking awesome. Seems like it is owned by a group of students or a family. Was my first time in Norman so had to find a healthy place. Would have come back a few more times but trip was super short. Place is small so you can see them making everything. In fact, you can just sit at the counter and watch them make your food a few feet away. While I was there heard a ton of conversations between the owners/workers and customers. Seems like they all know each other. Cool place to come and eat, hang out, and chat with friends. Looks like a place where the few Norman, OK hipsters and activists can comfortably hang out.

I called ahead to see if they sold whole bean coffee — they do. I went, and was pleased to discover an extensive vegan-friendly menu, and an organic market with produce, toiletries, and bottled drinks. A patio and garden out back, right in the neighborhood. Felt right — I do recommend.

Southwest Salad and the Loaded Nachos. Must have had both of these 50 times now. So good. Could be a little more consistent on how menu items are served, each time is slightly different but still very good! They ran out of jalapeños one time but went out back to their garden and picked me some fresh serranos as a substitute. Good people here. Visit them at least once a week.

A safe haven for treehuggers in Norman: P This location is half-store, half-restaurant. The store features a wide selection of socially conscious products and the restaurant has an array of vegetarian– and vegan-friendly options that are all scrumptious! I highly recommend the vegetarian chili and the Flats(hot sandwich). I love the ambience of this space. You instantly feel like you’re in a treehouse mixed with a log cabin. It is peaceful and conducive to wholesome conversation. Would definitely work here if I was still in Norman so I could just chill and eat here all the time. Much love to this place!

Been coming here for years! I have enjoyed all the food. The atmosphere is always very fun and friendly. Try the southwest salad, any smoothie is perfection, if you’re brave have a dragon slayer, the chocolate raspberry cupcakes are so good. Dog friendly on the patio and by the garden. Another reviewer said there was no wi-fi, I am almost positive there is… could be wrong though!

YUM. I always choose The Earth to cure my hangovers. Fresh, delicious food seems to get better every time I come in. The place is so chill, very hippie and peaceful. Lots of beautiful people working here. Reminds me of Durango, CO or Oceanside, CA. My favorite is the benevolent earth salad, and the über super earth burger. They also make a delicious almond milk chai latte. Everything here is great. When I walked outside, a butterfly flew past me and that sums up the Earth, really.

If you’re looking for a little Nag Champa Super Hit– type hippy joint where you can sit at the counter and eat your granola, this is the place. Community board, a back patio, and folks who like their guilty pleasures au naturel. Step inside for a decent breakfast(yogurt, granola, fruit; breakfast burrito, etc., etc.,), lunch, groceries(local eggs! bulk! Bob’s Red Mill!). My favorite little treat is the fig bar– it takes the fig newton you grew up with to a delicious new high. Smoothies are satisfying, too. Though The Earth Café & Deli serves food, the ambience is sort of a sacred little space for gathering with friends. Or go solo, as you are, to gather your thoughts in this chill refuge. Take a book, not your device. No wi-fi. Love.

Since I’ve been here, I’ve gone back nearly every day since. I can’t get enough of their fresh salads and sandwiches. In especially addicted to their Reuben sandwich. It’s like crack. They might even put some crack into it to keep me coming back, I don’t know. I haven’t had their smoothies yet, but I did have a slice of their lemon cake(the desserts change daily) with coffee. The coffee was GREAT– I only drink black coffee so the quality has to be good to taste good. Not like the burnt water at S-bux. The cake was perfectly moist and sweetened, not too sugary, but light and fluffy. Plus they give you such a generous portion, I couldn’t even finish my slice!

So sometimes I like to pretend like I’m a hippie and eat only vegan or vegetarian. The Earth helps me pretend. Not saying you have to be any of the above to love The Earth, but it totally has that Colorado, chill, all natural vibe about it that I can really get into sometimes. Plus I love the how they closed the old café and moved it into the back half of the market! It gives is all kinds of charm! As far as the food, the salads are bomb. The Southwest salad is basically the veggie chili over lettuce and Jim’s salad is perfection just make sure you add avocado. The sandwiches-yes to all. Don’t be afraid of the vegetarian terms like tempeh facon or vegan mayonnaise. You’ll never know the difference trust me. The Kale banana smoothie with almond milk is faboo and all the baked goods should be bowed down to. The Lavender Cake temps me everytime! Looking past the food, this is such a handy market to stop in for a quick round of groceries! I like to pick up eziekel bread, coconut water, tea or healthy snacks! Café, bakery, coffee, tea and groceries, what else could you ask from you local hipster market!

I love that they moved the restaurant back to their market on Flood because now you just order at the bar and there are no waiters and I can just nosh on my fine vegetarian comfort food and not feel guilty about staying an hour after to read, etc. LOVE. You get that extra star now. The most amazing food. You just have to realize. I get one of the salads, perhaps the Farmer’s salad(?) with honey mustard and it is the most delicious thing, but everything is good and good portions as well. They have organic fruit smoothies they Vita-Mix up for you, and delicious teas. The market itself is well-stocked with produce, and every other thing you might need — I can see this place pretty much fulfilling all my needs if I lived near by and this was the closest market. They have an impressive selection, by the way, of medicinal herbs. Seating is super awesome as well. You can sit at the bar or at a table inside, but they have the coolest back porch, and then some seating a bit in the distance as well for a super private woodsy kind of setting. Free wi-fi. Parking is in the back, and they don’t have many spaces, but I have absolutely never had a problem parking. Now, on second thought, they probably have more than enough spaces for the size of their place. I don’t know. The people who work there are the coolest, nicest, zen people around, and you always run into someone you know(or should know) who is equally cool.
