Not coming back here again if this is the place on 23rd street. . Was looking forward to a pole class after 15 mos of hiatus due to pregnancy, etc. Went online and noticed the 11:15 am Sat instructor accepts credit card payments. I arrive after the place was not clearly marked to the street. Apparently not only did the instructor not show up but doesn’t take advertised payments??? On top of that no one seems to know where the heck an ATM is that’s closeby. don’t know if I went in the wrong area but all I saw were silks and portable/travel poles with stages that weren’t even mounted up. Now it looks like the instructor who was there before is leaving so I wonder if class with whoever was suppose to teach is still scheduled? ?? With this place the instructors are independent contractors I believe so there will always be a 50⁄50 chance whether they show up. I’ll definitely be taking my business to Teaze where they have an online sign up and things better organized. Should have went there in the first place and not wasted my time or gas!

So I found this place through Groupon and have had a great experience with Pole Zone! I decided to run the OKC Memorial half-marathon and needed to add to my training. I found myself in a running rut and not improving my time. But when I really started going to cardio/tabata/booty camp/yoga/ballet classes regularly in March, it really helped my breathing techniques, stretching, and strengthening my core. I really don’t think I could have done the half-marathon without Pole Zone. With classes, eating better, and running — I was also down thirty pounds by the end of May. All of the instructors are super helpful and I love the variety of classes. I dislike going to a regular gym and hopping on the elliptical, so this works for me. I can say I am not a pole person by any means, but I have tried it here and the instructors are always encouraging! The first class is $ 5 and they do have Groupon deals that become available. I would recommend getting the unlimited package because there are so many cool classes to try!

Unlike the 11 filtered reviews here that were put in for a contest, I’m a true Unilocaler — and I really love this place! I started coming here in November with the push of a friend, a breakup(who doesn’t want to show that guy how sexy and awesome you really are and what they are missing out on?), and a Groupon deal. My first class and a couple of others have been one-on-one, or close to it. Some classes, though, have been booked so solid that I can’t go for weeks. The studio is pretty small, so when you are able to get in a full class, it can be a little difficult to get the full range of motion needed. Although there are a smörgåsbord of class types, there are generally only one or two within a week, making it difficult to go and grow in that specialty. I’ve only tried the aerial, aerial yoga, ass-ential, and pole classes. They also have burlesque, belly, and lap dancing classes and branch out to trapeze and gymnastic like classes for kids. One of the things that I really love about this place is the motivation and encouragement I receive while working on things and compliments on my successes. The instructors are fantastic; they focus on warm ups, good form, and cool downs. They are helpful and accepting of everyone. Generally, you can take a class with one instructor and then the next time take the same class with a different instructor. This allows students to explore several methods to tricks and techniques and creates a learning environment that is best for everyone. I’ve got to say that my favorite teacher is Hope, but Ebony, Viviane, Eli, and the others are all exceptionally skilled, encouraging, motivating, and friendly. Unlike one one-time reviewer, I have walked out a little disappointed. My class didn’t go as long as it should have(They are all 1 hour classes, but sometimes they start 15 or so minutes late because no one has showed yet — this could mean the teacher) or more chatting is done than stretching or trying new tricks, spins, or other moves. However, this has only happened maybe 20% of the classes I’ve gone to, and only when they were first opening. While you may not be a dancer or «in-shape», don’t use that excuse to not come. Zero experience is needed to begin working towards doing what they do, and possibly more! I started out at the very base level of being fit; I couldn’t even run a full block or do a pull up! After one month of going to PZ, my biceps were much more notable and I was definitely thinner. The classes, along with watching my calories, made me lose a pants size in less than a month! Along with the classes, they offer other services — reserving classes online, private parties on Fridays, and selling shirts and other things in their lobby. They keep you updated with events inside and outside of PZ with an occasional(I think monthly) email. Want to try it before you commit to them? They have a $ 5 first class policy! After that, they do the occasional Groupon or LivingSocial.
