Planned Parenthood of Central Oklahoma

One word: Horrible! I leave messages in detail, and never get a reply. Every time I call they don’t answer. I only wanted an annual PAP! Before I got insurance I called and that time I did speak to someone and that someone was really rude and told me what all their prices were without insurance and when I mentioned I what I needed she seemed even more upset that she had to help me with obtaining a simple phone number! I am so sorry I am from out of state and just needed to figure out what insurance I could qualify for if any. Working within the «sliding scale fee» was doable but because I was not already insured and needed assistance in becoming insured and thus NOT paying in full seemed to be what ticked her off. Plain and simple — horrible customer care.
I do not like Planned Parenthood in general — never have, and it seemed like the most simple choice given location, sliding scale and payment options and they did have 1 good review, and for something so basic and needed as an annual PAP (after all this is what they push (aside other things) is women’s health) so, yeah, I expected quality care in dealing with them. I got the exact opposite.
Clearly some things have changed since the last reviewer posted a review here. I found a place called Variety Health Clinic who’s customer service was stellar. I have not been to the office for an exam but I have no doubt they are 10x better than this place or this company as a whole.

Best Planned Parenthood location ever and a vital part of the Norman community.
The clinic is spotless, the receptionist is kind and efficient, the doctor returns your calls promptly when you have questions, and they offer a number of essential services for a reasonable cost (especially if you are uninsured). They do their best to schedule you an appointment as quickly as possible and there’s barely a wait time once you get there.
Quite a local resource and worthy of support.
