My husband and I had parents in town visiting and were not sure where to take them and a friend recommended Charleston’s. We went here for dinner and it was a busy Friday night. I love that they use the app that helps you see your spot in line. It makes the waiting seem a little easier when we knew how many parties were in front of us. We were seated within thirty minutes and our server came promptly to the table to get our drink order. We ordered some side salads and soup with our meals and those all came out before our meal. Everyone loved their food and we were all happy we went there. Thank you, Charleston’s for a great experience :)

All about flipping the table!!! Move, move, move!!! The moment we sat down for dinner, she read the specials and then asked what we would like to eat. I am not here to eat, I am here to dine. Today was my son’s graduation from OU and would like to enjoy it. The whole meal was rushed.

Stopped in after reading reviews thought we would give it a try. Sure glad we did. Everything g is homemade and excellent. My husband and I each had prime rib. It was very very tasty. Baked potatoes are humongous! my daughter had chicken tenders also very good. It was rather dark in the place, but it kept it more private. Would Definately recommend!

We travel to Norman from San Francisco, CA once or twice a year to visit family. I have been in the hotel and restaurant industry for 40 years and really know service inside and out. We came in for dinner a couple of weeks ago and had the best service and dinner that we have ever had there. Whomever is in charge of training the staff has done a VERY nice job! Griffin was our server and was impeccable! We were unsure of your wines and wanted to order a bottle… He offered a taste between two which we really appreciated and ended up purchasing the more expensive bottle because of it. Everything from beginning to end was very good. Stephanie brought our salads and was so pleasant. We tend to REALLY appreciate ground black pepper and she was very thoughtful in offering to leave the grinder ON the table for use throughout our meal. We will continue to eat there with and without our family throughout our stays Over and over again. Thank you for a memorable meal with fantastic service! Both Griffin and Stephanie MADEOURNIGHT! We were both impressed!

The staff and food was wonderful as always!!! I had the roasted chicken and I would highly recommend it! The only reason why I gave this place a 4 star is bc it was so dark! I know my grandmother would have wanted better lighting!

We really enjoyed everything about Charleston’s. The food was great, the atmosphere nice and the service was friendly and very fast. No sooner did a plate empty and someone would appear and take it from the table. I had the Parmesan Crusted Chicken, which was very good. Crisp and flavorful breading yet tender and juicy on the inside. Also at my table was the Fried Catfish, also very good and a Reuben Sandwich which did not disappoint. We would definitely return next time we’re in Norman.

We walked to the restaurant from our hotel so having the margarita was an easy decision… and it was the best margarita I’ve ever had! Caesar salad was okay but the hand-cut strip steak was fabulous! Melted in the mouth for sure. Staff was well trained so their attention was efficient and timely without being bothersome. I will definitely be back the next time I visit Norm

Watch your bill. The service was OK, but got the bill and was overcharged. When I asked the manager I had to wait around about 15 extra minutes before she resolved it. Burgers were overpriced and average.

This restaurant exceeded our expectations. The food was great. We started with spinach artichoke dip that my husband kept raving about. The service was excellent, our waitress was very attentive but not overly so. We had the prime rib and added the Brussels sprouts to share. With the accompanying salad and potato it was so good we ate til we were stuff! Wanted to try dessert but there was no room! Highly recommend.

Above average chain restaurant experience. Charleston’s in Norman does a very good job providing outstanding ambience. The food is good, but for the price it doesn’t measure up. The service is consistently excellent, And that is probably the best argument I can make for this restaurant. Update: I added another star to my review. I wanted to give credit where it is due. There are only a handful of restaurants in Norman offering prime rib for dinner, and Charleston’s serves it properly. The list of wines is not extensive, but all of them are reasonably priced. The service seems to be on the upswing. The current management seems to be making a serious effort.

The super Kale salad is the best Kale salad I’ve ever had and top 5 on all time best salads. They have a nice bar area inside. One of the downsides is their drink prices. I prefer bottom shelf drink prices to be under $ 8. The chicken wings are really small also and they don’t have them all the time. The waitresses were nice. It’s a big restaurant with an east coast feel to it.

Charleston’s is like your favorite TV show that you’ve seen over and over again. It’s not going to blow you away and you certainly won’t be surprised, but you keep coming back because it’s that good. This place is a medium sized chain(there are around 20 in 4 states) that started in Oklahoma. It’s above average casual dining and I can see why it remains popular after so many years. This location is large. There is a dining room with many booths and stand alone tables, and a large bar with seating on all sides, plus booths lining the perimeter of the room. The beer/liquor selection is nothing to write home about, but it’s better than most of the other options on Ed Noble Parkway, which are highway food like Applebee’s and Chili’s. Charleston’s is famous for a couple of items: baked potato soup and chicken tenders. The baked potato soup is a solid version of this classic soup. It’s on the thicker side, which I prefer, and it comes loaded with cheese, bacon, and scallions. The toppings are the best part of a baked potato, and the people at Charleston’s know it. The chicken tender platter is ENORMOUS. I think it’s around $ 15, but it can easily feed two, or one very hungry person. The tenders are thick and fried perfectly, I literally have never had a bad one. They are juicy, the breading is crunchy, but not too thick, and it’s seasoned properly. They are great with BBQ sauce, honey mustard, or nothing. As I get older I order chicken tenders(or fingers, or strips) less and less often. But, I have to have Charleston’s a couple of times a year, and I can’t think of any other chicken tenders I feel this way about. They are just a very solid version of this dish that is usually for children, but I do not care when I order it at Charleston’s. Charleston’s has the typical array of steaks, prime rib, and grilled chicken choices. I’ve had the prime rib, and it’s solid. It would be average in Vegas, where nearly everyplace does prime rib, but in Oklahoma it’s above average for sure. And, you get a nice healthy slab. I’ve had a number of burgers, sandwiches, and salads as well. Again, never disappointed, but never blown away. This isn’t creative food, but it’s very good in quality and execution. Service is always good. There are plenty of servers, particularly during dinner service. So, if your drink goes empty, there is never a time when an employee isn’t close enough to ask. I’ve been coming to this Charleston’s since before I could drive myself to the restaurant, and I will continue to eat here. Like I said, you won’t be blown away by the menu, but there is only a small chance you will leave unhappy with your meal.

Went for dinner last night. Our waiter was super nice and informative. All of his recommendations were on point. For appetizer, we had the shrimp embargo; delicious!!! I had the grilled porkchops; they were amazing! My boyfriend ordered the chicken piccata; it was ok, a little on the salty side. At the end of the night, our waiter gave us some info on some great bars to go to since we were from out of town. He was very entertaining. I forgot his name but he was Asian. We will be coming back here when we’re in town again.

Went for lunch yesterday and had such a nice time. The inside is beautiful and cozy with its big leather booths and dark wood. I’ve always had great service at charlestons, sometimes too good because of the amount of times they try to refill your water but hey I guess they just want to keep us hydrated! I usually always opt for the baked potato soup because there really isn’t much better but my friend was so excited we were there in a Monday because that meant their roasted tomato and veggie soup was the soup of the day. I ventured out and got that and a ceased salad. The soup was delicious and unloved the little macaroni noodles in it, reminded me of an updated minestrone. The Cesar salad is always delicious and comes with one of their lighter than air honey croissants! The perfect amount of food for $ 12!

I would give this 5 stars because it was absolutely DELICIOUS but I definitely got food poisoning from this food. I ordered the Champagne Chicken Salad which was the best salad I have ever had in my life — but it must’ve given me the food poisoning because no one else in the group ate it. The shrimp appetizer was to die for and the Chicken Fried Steak was so delicious but very rich and heavy! Awesome ambiance and really cool place. I’m so sad to say I puked all of the yummy and pricy food /:
