Best Western Norman Inn & Suites

Oh boy was this an experience. The room itself wasn’t so bad, overlooking the grayish mystery glob in the shower and the completely worn out desk chair that would fall backwards if you leaned back at all. The congregation of smoking, toothless, sniffling, hacking 20 somethings in the hall and around the entry doors were our irritation. It was cold out, yet the alarmingly thin young gals were barefoot with tank tops and pajama bottoms on. So not only did I have to always excuse myself through this convention of hacking glares, I reeked of cigarettes from the smoke cloud every time I came or went. Since it was cold, some of the visiting fellows just stood inside the hall and smoked. The outside door did not lock, the trash cans were over flowing and the whole place clearly attracts a different clientele than who I want to be around. There’s nothing to say about the «breakfast» because the coffee wasn’t even drinkable. Albuquerque is full of these places for a lot less money.

Drove up to OK to see a concert on OU campus and found this hotel online. Very convenient to campus, about 5 minute drive. The hotel is clean and modern, no complaints. Very helpful staff. Very convenient location just off I-​35 and then Hwy. 9 East. Would stay there again if I ever go to Norman. The only complaint is that the free breakfast is not as good as some of the other Best Westerns I have stayed at. No waffles, no bagels, but they did have warm eggs and sausage.
