Worst alfredo ever! I ordered the create your own pasta. Fettuccine with alfredo sauce with chicken and spinach. It was bland, tasteless, and had very little sauce on it! I’ve had better alfredo sauce out of a jar. Will not eat there again.

Hmm… the pizza’s okay(there’s better options in the area for sure), the beer selection is okay, the service is okay… the prices, ehh. $ 18 for a large pepperoni that’s just okay… it’s a little overkill for the food. If you want a family friendly environment with okay pizza, this place is for you. If not, go to one of the other pizza places in the area because there’s at least two other places on Colley that make better pizza.

This place has potential, but they are about as good as Olive Garden circa 2010. I ordered delivery for my family and was bemused at the quality of the food. My daughters broccoli was practically raw, the eggplant was not prepared well and was quite soggy, and the chicken tenders were heartless like the ones you would get in a microwave dinner. The online ordering is not very user friendly and it’s is seemingly worth the extra money to use Orderup if you want delivery. Oh and then there’s the service in combination with the food. I will just let you look at the screen shots of my exchange with the guy who delivered my food for a better idea.

Yum!!! I can’t believe I’ve never tried this place before!!! Great location. The parking is across the street and behind a building but that’s okay cars yield to ped crossing. There’s a nice little patio area that has a good view of Colley Ave. the homeless population is strong though we witnessed a man relieve himself in a trash bin on the street but that’s not Ynot’s fault. I ordered the Sicilian slice of supreme and added feta. SOOOGOOD!!! It took a little longer for them to bring it out being that the bread and topping game was so strong but it’s okay it was delicious and CHEAP! Like $ 2.50 a slice and the slices aren’t small. I also had the capres salad(spell check that) it was slices of tomato, mozzarella and basil with a bottle of balsamic vinegar. I recommend they come up with a balsamic glaze or reduction to really bring the flavor. They also have a nice beer selection. There was 3 of us each had a salad appetizer, 2 had a slice of pizza 1 had an order of wings, 2 beers and an espresso and the bill was under $ 50. The only down side was it took the waitress a little longer for service maybe Because we were outside and when she seated us she didn’t bring silverware so once we got our food we had to wait again for her to come back so we could ask for silverware. However, I WILL be back!!! Soon!!!

Nice looking place. I had a steak and cheese sub. Came with chips, fries extra :(my niece had pizza and said it was ok. Service was good. Nothing special about Ynot. A nice italian eatery selling subs, pizza and pasta. They do sell gelato and its off to the side when you walk in. Set up like a little ice cream parlor.

This place is Olive Garden with pizza. The plates have been scratched and chipped for a couple years now along with the stools in the bar area. The chairs are so bad they’ve ripped holes in my clothing. The pizza sauce is so sweet now it’s gross. Another review says it tastes like spaghetti-os and its so true. There is really nothing remarkable about this restaurant. The appetizers are typical fried stuff and some(and are frequently served with lettuce which is WEIRD). The cheese toast tastes like the Texas cheese toast from the freezer section. The sandwiches use regular deli meat. The pasta dishes come with a pile of pasta so they can slack on the rest. The desserts are pretty typical. The cakes are similar Sysco stuff that other area restaurants serve. The cookies tend to taste like the fridge. The gelato is hit or miss and with Strawberry Fields across the street there is no reason to bother. The service is hit or miss as well. Lots of college and high school students that tend to talk, sing, or use their phones instead of doing their jobs. I’ve yet to see anyone trying to rectify this as the situation has only worsened over the years. It’s really disappointing how terrible this restaurant has become. It used to be at least okay when you wanted a quick bite to eat, but it’s not even worth that now. It’s clear from the broken dishes and chairs to the bad food and bad service that the owners just don’t care anymore.

This place has a lot to offer. They carry pizza, wings, garlic knots, and the whole nine yards. I wanted to order a pizza for takeout and they have a very extensive menu online. I recommend coming in to eat to rest assure the food is hot and fresh, I ordered once for pick up and was not as pleased as I should have been, but both Luke and Wally were really nice and addressed the issue quickly to make me a happy customer. I will be definitely dining in soon and will be trying their calzones which I hear are terrific!

The interior of the restaurant appeared clean and modern. I loved the lighting and the ambiance. I ordered the vegetarian calzoni and was quite pleased. My daughter ordered the same and added anchovies. She and I both agreed that our food was tasty. I enjoyed the flavor of the seasonings and it had a perfect amount of vegetables and cheese inside. While waiting on my meal and to the suggestion of my cousin, I decided to take a look at their pizzas and desserts on display. I’m glad I didn’t order the pizza. It didn’t look very appetizing at all. Especially the square pizza that I believe is called the Sicilian. It looked hard and plain. My cousin was about to order it. I’m glad she took a look at it first. She quickly changed her order because it was not what she had in mind or what the waitress had agreed was deep dish pizza. Overall, I was pleased with my meal but I doubt I’ll ever order pizza here.

Stopped in to grab gelato. They young lady helping us was extremely polite and patient as I was with a party of five and four of them couldn’t make their mind up with what flavor they wanted. Next time I am on the area I will have to try some of their menu items.

Sicilian is not deep dish… Im screaming that to anybody that is told otherwise! I came here on a Friday night, unlike all the other businesses on Colley there was no wait and it wasn’t very busy(that should be your 1st warning). The waitress I had was very friendly and had a great personality, but working in a pizza place, knowledge of pizza should be necessary. One of the menu items there is a Sicilian pizza. I asked my waitress to describe it, she said, its like deep dish pizza. Boom, my heart skipped a beat and I wanted it. But since I’ve only experienced true Chicago deep dish pizza, the one that takes upwards of 40 minutes to cook I asked… is it like Chicago deep dish pizza… YES she said. I was sold, take my money and give it to me please. Well something popped in my mind. I should ask her how big it is. She described it as a square pizza… um, no that’s not deep dish. She proceeded to say, well its sitting on the counter, you can go look at it. What I saw was what I could best describe as school cafeteria pizza. It had the thickest layer of cardboard like crust with a tiny layer of cheese and sauce. This is only my 2nd experience at a Ynot and they are not panning out to be a place I want to return to again.

This was my first and last time visiting this location. We have eaten at other locations and enjoyed the food and service. We came to this location as a part of a beer crawl. This location offered a slice of pizza or garlic knots along with a sample of craft beer. The 2 bartenders were extremely rude to us. They refused to even acknowledge us even though we were sitting at the bar waiting for service & other patrons told them we were there before them. It wasn’t busy & the dismissive service made me believe we were not served because we were not welcome. One of the waitresses brought us out hot pizza that other bar crawlers ordered for us since we couldn’t get service. The pizza was average but the service and treatment left a lasting impression on me.

Y not? Better to name the place Y Bother. This restaurant is the answer to the question nobody is asking; what happens when you combine Sysco’s low end merchandise with average cooks? Below average fare for below average tastes. I think the place knows it, as the portions are huge and the cost is ~$ 10/entrée. Trust me, it is not underpriced. Specifics? Well, lets see, the spaghetti is of the bulk dried variety. I’ve had the canned tomato sauce before on a desperate college night when calories took priority. I tried the clam sauce too. I mean canned clam sauce with some tasteless olive oil. I can confidently state that TJ’s sells better canned sauces and the taste of tin is a bit milder! Oh yeah and if you order salad, be prepared for the Ken’s special. Oh Sysco! To be fair, this place is a chain. So to rate it on a chain level I’d say its the Arby’s of chain Italian restaurants. Every time I pass an Arby’s I wonder, «how is this chain still around?»

I was in Norfolk for business and came to this place with my colleagues for lunch. They are a chain throughout the city(I love the name, it’s catchy). It was a beautiful day so we choose to sit outside. We all ordered from the lunch specials because they were a good deal and under $ 10. I ordered the sicilian slice with a salad. The waitress was pleasant and patient. We were a big group and changed our mind several times. The food came out and everyone was satisfied. My pizza was good. I ordered extra sauce because I like it saucy and my salad was crisp and fresh. If in town again I would come here for a quick cheap lunch.

Highly disappointing. The side salad wasn’t fresh. The ends of some of the lettuce were wilty and some of it was turning brown. Then the chicken cannelloni came out and was mostly marinara and cheese. Very little chicken. Doubt I’ll go back.

Ynot a great local joint with good New York style pizzas. I have always been happy with anything I’ve ordered and my favorite is the white pizza with tomato and spinach. This time I had the stuffed pizza, which is a pizza toped with more dough.(kind of like a calzone but much less bread-y) my boyfriend and I were pleasantly surprised with the pie. However, I would ask for extra sauce on the side for dipping!

My boyfriend I decided to stay home to watch football, and we thought a pizza would be great… Unfortunately, we were wrong. I ordered an antipasto salad and a Bianca pizza. While the salad was tasty, we were told they did not have Greek dressing to accompany it, although they serve a green salad. We had to settle with balsamic instead. Whatever, no biggie. The biggest upset was the pizza. We received a piece of cardboard dough covered in grease. Literally, neither of us could eat an entire piece. It might have been the worst pizza we have ever eaten. 1 star for prompt delivery. 1 star for friendly service.

The garlic rolls w/marinara sauce was tasty. We originally ordered ab half in half pizza and the waitress made half the pizza wrong. Needless to say they made it right. We got a free 14 inch pizza. Her mistake wasn’t a bad one either. This pizza’s we tried were good. The service was great and it was an awesome after work atmosphere. I will be going back to this spot.

Italian Stromboli! I really like this place! Good food quality, value and service. The Italian Stromboli was a nice portion and tasted very good. I had the Tortellini soup… meh. not so much. Too much broth celery & onions and not enough tortellini. I went with a group of eight for a business lunch and everyone was positive about their food. I server Dani, was professional & attentive and was good about making suggestions from the menu. Great atmosphere and the menu selections looked good. If I was local, I would def return.

When I’m hungry for some Italian food, I tend to roll to this restaurant. It’s located right next to my favorite movie theater so I tend to make it an event and hit up both places in one trip. The service is good as the servers and bartenders are friendly and accommodating. And if nothing else, the food is excellent. I’d like to say this is authentic Italian cuisine, but I’m not expert, so I’ll defer to the true Italian cuisine connoiseurs. But for me, I always leave happy and full. Their pizzas are tasty and diverse, and I do enjoy their special dishes(usually written on a chalkboard above the front entrance). What seals the deal is their gelato, which is the perfect item to help one cool down during these hot and humid VA summers. I believe Mannino’s is a tad better, but YNot is right up there for me. Besides, it’s more convenient to head to Ghent rather than drive out to VB for some Italian food. JV
