This has been one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in a while. The staff is so sweet and attentive. The décor is comfy. The menu is amazing. Quite a selection for all tastes and dietary preferences. The salmon burger was really good and the vinaigrette on the mixed greens is so fresh and yummy. You cannot go wrong with Wisteria!

The Chrysler Museum is a jewel of a museum, and the café inside is a sweet little addition. I usually get the Griddled Gruyère on Multigrain with Fig Preserves and Prosciutto with a side of herb-infused sea salt fries. The sandwich is a tasty combination, nicely executed and complimented by the lightly flavored fries– frites really, as they are thin and crispy and more than your average french fry. The space is clean and soothing and the service is professional. Meal was $ 19 with a bottle of sparkling water and tip. Atmosphere was appreciated!

The food pictures don’t do it justice! I have a lovely three salad plate that was just right, sitting on a lovely veranda. The service was fairly good, the ambience and food made for a great experience!

I decided to try this out, based on David’s reviews on here. I took my two youngest to the museum and the arcade game exhibit. Afterwards, it was very handy to walk right in to this restaurant and grab a quick lunch. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The servers were nice and professional. I ordered the kids a meal off the kids menu and I ordered off the appetizer menu. It took awhile for the food to come out, but it was all very good! The kids really enjoyed the house made potato chips. It is a great spot to enjoy if you are visiting the museum!

If you have yet to check out the Chrysler Museums new 20+ million dollar renovations than there is no time better than the Summer months to bring along the kids. Bring an appetite however, because the new Wisteria is bigger, brighter and better than ever. Hours of operation are the same as the museum. Wisteria has always been a spot my children love to come even before the renovations took place now almost two years ago. It was a quaint little café located by the auditorium in the back. The all new bistro is located right up front by the gift shop and has prime time real estate. Don’t be afraid to throw some nicer clothes on the young ones either, this place is classy, but still offers a casual dining feel. If you prefer to be more casual check out the garden side café outside. Upon walking past the gift shop step to the left to see the inviting café with it’s large glass windows and doors. Walk inside to the check-in area and either find immediate seating, or now make a reservation if you prefer to browse the galleries first. This space was previously a gallery. The décor is upscale in keeping with the museum theme of wood floors and concrete arch way. Wooden tables, chairs and a long booth is placed to the exterior of the front room. You may get to know your neighbor as the placement is somewhat cozy. There is now a small refrigerator to buy drinks and snacks by the counter. Walk through the elegant arch way over a marble slab to the back space of the restaurant. Enjoy the new built out portion that is larger than the front accommodating large groups. Two elegant stain glass panels provide a classy ambiance The café’s operation is outsourced and remains in the capable hands of Cuisine & Company. They offer some of the same sandwiches that regulars will fondly remember. But there are new additions too. I did not recognize any of the staff from before, but understand there are some. I was a little surprised at how busy they were at almost 1:30 in the afternoon, but it is still new. Luckily we ended up scoring what I think is the best four seat table in the house up front over looking the museum where one can easily people watch. The waiter took a little longer that what I would have cared for to get to the table, but again it was pretty busy. He made up for it by providing a terrific service throughout most of the meall. The wait staff does not have any support staff, they do 100% of everything, so remember this when it’s time to reward them for their efforts. Water was now quickly put on the table and I love the creative way it is served out of a bottle with a cap… again very upscale. It did not take the kids long to choose from one of the three entrees offered on the children’s menu. They both got what they had been accustomed to, a chicken fingers and grilled cheese. I thought a new addition to the menu sounded great, a pulled pork rib sandwich with Swiss cheese and onions. It took around twenty minutes for our food to arrive, not too off par but still a long wait for sandwiches in my book. Everything looked appetizing to me, but my son complained about the deep dark grill marks on his grilled cheese from the Panini Maker. I tasted it and found no problem. My daughter loved her chicken fingers and cleaned her plate. I found the pork rib to be an extremely tasty sandwich. A meal would not be complete without Wisteria’s signature moose pie, my kids LOVEIT! However, the waiter never asked if we wanted desert and brought the bill. This was the only hiccup in service and the kids were a little stunned of him not asking. Deserts brings in significant revenue to restaurants and this was almost a missed opportunity. By this time there was a line out the door and reservations were being placed, so he was attempting to rush us I believe. All was right with the world when the yummy chocolate desert arrived and was a delicious as ever. I would recommend Wisteria to anyone visiting the Chrysler Museum, or just wanting to pop in for a meal. On another visit it might be cool to enjoy a meal at their garden side café. The bonus is dining in such beautiful atmosphere of stunning galleries only a few feet from your table. Our family has loved the combination of food and the viewing of many offerings of Chrysler for several years. Make it a point to check them out with the kids out of school and get your culture on in a big way. You will be glad you did.
