More good food and good drink had last week at SandBar! The Lodge played as our base station for a week to see family for Christmas. SandBar has always been reliable for good food with good service. This trip was no different!

Nice building/​sports bar setting but the drama was entirely too high with the staff… evidently an issue between server staff and bar manager created a chaotic and frantic pace that could be felt in the air. Not too many looked happy or even like they wanted to be there, which in turn made customers uncomfortable. Took awhile to get a beer and the second thereafter. Other customers where also waiting on a drink but couldn’t get the attention of the servers because of the gossip groups going on — improve the morale there and probably would be an enjoyable place to hang out.

We left after getting horrible service and the fact they would not allow my 4yr old son with several food allergies to eat his food. I have never been more disappointed in the actions and behavior of grown adults. Our children not only have allergies but medical needs that require all of their food to be prepared at home. Never has a restaurant had a problem with us bringing snacks for 2 small kids. They would give anything to be able to eat like «normal» people and to have their difference made a huge scene by 2 grown adults is unacceptable.
