This is a new location for the store that used to be across the street in the old Granby St. Shopping Center that was torn down last year. It’s brand spanking new inside and the layout is nice it’s pretty easy to find what you want. However that’s where the good ends.
What kills this place, and many other Radio Shacks IMOP is the customer service. You’re pounced on the second you walk into the place, instead of being helpful they tend hover over you like you’re going to rip the place off and then once you find what you’re looking for they’re more interested in selling you additional items like needless extended warranties and batteries rather than being happy you’re in their buying something in the first place.
However what really gets me is how condescending many of these so called clerks are and they talk to you like you don’t know to walk upright. One guy I dealt with had to look something up on their website and couldn’t even find it. I had to pull the on sale item up on my phone. How can you be so condescending when you don’t even know what the **** you’re talking about. I guess ignorance truly is bliss eh?
So long story short, I’ve used Radio Shack before and I’ll use them again, but this is the type of place where you should know what you want before you get there. You go in and get it, pay and leave. Nothing more…
