I’ve gotten into a bad habit that I unfortunately will have to break soon. I teach a Tuesday night class and regardless of whether I eat before class or not, by the time it’s over I am starving. I know I shouldn’t eat at 10 pm but I need something. Unfortunately, after 10 pm a lot of stuff is closed other than McDonald’s or Taco Bell, which are both bad and definitely bad for you. So, one night I was driving through the Village just to see what was open and JJ’s was, until midnight. I stopped in and it became my teaching night tradition.
My go-​to sandwich is the #13, the gourmet veggie club. It has double cheese, avocado, lettuce, tomato, and mayo. If I’m gonna eat after 10 pm, might as well make it veggie! Yeah, the mayo and cheese is high in fat but let me have this belief that I am eating a veggie sub that’s good for me. It’s so good! Today, I was craving the sub and decided to have them deliver it over to my office. I called and I would guess it was maybe 5 – 7 minutes and the sub as delivered to my door with a smile. It was awesome but could be really bad for me socially. I barely leave my office as it is and now that I know that JJs will bring me food, I may never see the light of day again!
I’m definitely a fan of JJ’s in general and of this location specifically. They are always fast, friendly and fresh. Three F’s that result in a satisfying sub.

I dont mind subs but I wish they had hot subs. Especially when there are multiple subways and quiznos’ on campus. The quick delivery and the fact that its almost all night is the only reason why I give them 3 stars

Fast, convenient, friendly
I love the tuna on whole wheat. Very fresh. Famous for their fast delivery and deservedly so. Open later than anyone else in ODU area.

Sandwiches are great. I’ve ordered online about 5 times, and they follow directions if you ask for EZ ingredients. Always very fast and friendly delivery people, too.

Ok, I’m just out of delivery range, by like half a block, so that aside…
I call on my way out the door, and by the time I get there it’s ready to go. I had tried a coupe of their sandwiches in the past, and I laughed when I saw «JJ’s Gargantuan», their sandwiches aren’t huge, so I didn’t expect much… but damned if I wasn’t still feeling that sandwich the next day. It was actually packed, like a stack of meat an inch thick.
Nice, friendly service, obviously priding themselves on speed, but they don’t give up quality. Well done.

This JJs had just recently opened. I’ve never had JJs before and decided to give them a try after receiving a free small sub from their grand opening day promotion. I was instantly hooked by the lustful flavors of the mixed avocado spread and Hellman’s mayo. The Vegetarian or #6 on their menu is simply the simplest most savory sub you can possibly get. As a friend of mine would say, «its the go to sub when you want to avoid meat.» A much needed delicious option for those practicing Lent right about this time.
Staff, although one girl in particular stood out, lacked a bit more practice and familiarity of what it is that JJs serve on their menu. The girl behind the sandwich, single-​handedly won me over with her quick response to my numerous questioning of what I can order with the selected ingredients of my liking. A+ to you ma’am! You deserve a raise!
The location is brand new, so it would seem rather clean from a quick glance. I didn’t fully inspect their neatness, so don’t quote me on that.
Note that like all Jimmy Johns, they do serve room temperature to sometimes cold subs. No toasting options here, I’m afraid. It’s not so secret detail to their «freaky fast» delivery.
