Had my baby here, and my bill was a mess. I knew it would be high(babies aren’t cheap, after all), but if you have yours here, contest your bill & ask for a detailed explanation of all charges. I was actually charged multiple times for services I never received(was charged $ 265 three times for staples I never received nor needed), and even charged twice — for the same service — for an extra baby I definitely didn’t have(once for my little girl, and another time for«Baby Girl [my last name]»). While I received excellent care, and the nursing staff here is wonderful, I don’t believe there is enough effort going into making sure charges are verified before being added to patient’s bills. On second thought, don’t have a baby here, if you can help it. Have one literally anywhere else. Sentara Princess Anne, Portsmouth, or even in your car. Shoot, might as well have one at Walmart like Natalie Portman did in that movie she was in before anyone cared about who she was. All of these would be wiser options.
