Cook Out

This place is one of the things I miss about Virginia. I love Cook Out! I always get a big double with a double order of fries. They will ask you if you want the tray… say no. You will end up getting one order of fries that have been conveniently spread out in a portion of the to-​go box to make it look like you have a double order of fries. I always ask for packs of hot sauce to eat with my fries. Always double check your bag if you want extra packs of hot sauce. There is one employee there that is a bit too hasty. She always says that she put the extra hot sauce in my bag only for me to find out that she put ketchup packets in my bag when I get home. They also have great milkshakes there too. My favorites flavors are oreo and vanilla. I’m still giving this place 5 stars because the food is good and it’s close to my old school (NSU). It’s definitely a hangout spot for students and I love that they stay open late on the weekends. Also, this is a place where EVERYBODY knows that the food is good, so if you’re in a rush don’t come here.

This review is from a woman who likes food with nutritional value. I did not see anything including the «sad» salad I ordered that I would recommend to anyone. Bummed out for the children eating here.
The food is straight out of a SYSCO bag with very little additional flavorings. The meat appears and tastes like it is of poor quality. The wings needed to be covered in sauce that was full of sugar in order to chuck them down. I ate what I ordered because I paid for it not because I enjoyed it. I am not proud of myself.
I am 100 percent sure that at least 95 percent of the people that came in when I did left pleased. The food is take-​out preservative filled fast food. Nothing extremely appealing but great after a high s hool or college game food.
The restaurant was clean and the décor was cute. It is not my kind of place but I am not in their target market. I will not be back but I am sure I will not be missed — Smiles!

First time to eat here. The very crowded drive through at 10:00 pm caught my eye. Prices were very reasonable and the food did not disappoint. The BBQ, while definitely not the southern fare I am used to, was delicious. After I adjusted to the shock (I’m used to sweet BBQ) I was thoroughly impressed. Very flavorful and the amount of foo that came with the $ 3.99 price was quite abundant. My daughter ordered a corn dog, priced at 99 cents. We ordered two in case they were extremely small. They were regular sized corn dogs and she said they were delicious. My husband ordered a hamburger and was very pleased as well. But the shakes. OH! the shakes! They were so thick and delicious. We had a bit of a drive back to our hotel and I was afraid my shake would be melted and runny by the time we got back. It wasn’t. It was so good. A REAL shake.
I do not live in this area, but if I’m ever near one of these again I will certainly stop!

We went fairly late and were not familiar with this restaurant. Didn’t even know it was a chain. It was slammed! Line stretching out the door. Lots of athletes after a huge track meet. I anticipated a long wait or messed up order with that much volume. But, we were pleasantly surprised! Super fast, yet freshly prepared. And everything was exactly how we ordered it. It is the absolute best value I have seen in a while! So much food at a very reasonable price. I think our family of four could easily have eaten off of one combo tray. Kind of some unusual side choices, like a corn dog and quesadilla as a side with a burger. But could make it super easy to share and get everyone what they want. I’d go back!

I walked in expecting typical fast food and service. What I received was excellent tasting food that was served hot and quickly even though it was Sun. afternoon and they were super busy. The onion rings were served so hot, I had to wait a minute before I could actually eat the onions. That is just the way I like them. The hamburger was served hot and just the way I ordered it. I really liked the food. The knowledgeable staff was very friendly and accommodating. Since it was my first time there I was helped thru the process and my tray was carried to my table for me as I walk with a cane. A customer walking by our table dropped a lot of napkins. My friend asked a counter associate for help cleaning them up to prevent a slip and immediately a lovely young lady came out and cleaned them up, I mean my friend had barely returned to her seat. The day manager came around and asked about our order and if we needed anything, when was the last time that happened at a fast food joint, her name is Emerald and she is a great example to everyone of what customer service can be. I can not help myself, she is a real gem! Loved the food, loved the service, loved the prices! Thank you for a lovely dining experience.

Good place for BBQ especially if you’re in a rush.

Great place, clean, friendly, and great food that actually tastes just like real cool out food you’ll get from a friends summer cook out. And their prices are so low. Waaay better then any other fake food from Burger King and McDonald’s

This is a regular stop for me whenever I visit NSU. Choices are many & everything has been good everytime I’ve been there. Shake flavors are massive it makes it hard to choose one! For $ 4.96 you can’t complain! I can’t even finish my meal in one sitting!
Would highly recommend it especially for college students on a tight budget

The prices here are excellent. The food tastes like real hamburgers not McDonalds fakes. Nice place for a quick and cheap lunch.

My favorite Cook-​Out of all I’ve been to. Came here the first week it opened. Has indoor seating and two lines for drive thru.
I like to eat inside. I always get the Cook-​Out tray with banana milkshake, chicken wrap with honey mustard, and corndog. Get honey mustard sauce on the side too. I like their cheeseburgers too. I like to get mine all the way. Quesadillas aren’t bad either.
They have every sauce you can think of here even hot sauce. Costumer service is great, employees here are friendly and food comes out fast and fresh.
