Love this place! The staff was very informative and kind. The pieces are handmade by real artists– not made from a machine like most jewelry you see now a days, so in a way they’re keeping the old ways alive. Also really unique pieces– not your normal cookie-cutter stuff. I’ve bought from here many times for myself and gifts and never once had an issue with something breaking or falling apart. It’s all solid sterling too! Sad to see bad reviews here, I really have never had any experiences like that in all the years I’ve visited.

I really enjoy shopping and browsing at this store. Aside from one employee, the owner and staff are not pushy at all. Unlike most of the other jewelry stores in the mall, they are fine with browsing and do not write you off as a potential customer if you do not immediately ask to see something or state what you are looking for. I rarely visit the mall without stopping in the store and I’m always treated well whether I make a purchase or not. Their prices are expected/fair for what they are selling. Unlike another reviewer, I have yet to have anything fall apart on me and I’m generally not that careful with my jewelry. I have enjoyed every piece of jewelry I have purchased here. I also like that they have a wide range of prices — it is not a store where you have to hand over half a paycheck in order to purchase their lowest priced item. They have awesome sales a few times a year with things marked down as much as 70−80%(none of this Sale! but items are only 10% off). They also run deals where items are buy one get one 50% off. At my last visit, I was told that they now offer ring sizing, but I have yet to take advantage of the service.

I’m surprised there’s only two reviews for this place, and both negative! I love this store! My usual qualms are that the items can be a bit out of my price range and they don’t always have my ring size. Unfortunately they don’t offer ring sizing. However, they have an utterly amazing selection of beautiful items. I have always had stellar service. Sometimes it’s a bit slow, you get to chatting or there’s one person and they’re working with another customer. But I can’t help but rave about the exquisite things I find here. They always have turtle stuff and other sea-based critters. There’s stones in all colors of the rainbow, fossil and amber based jewelery, even carved bone from Bali. Today I bought a pair of lovely glass-based earrings that glitter like opals and a huge paperweight glass turtle(50% off!). Everything is always carefully wrapped and the gentleman, who I always see working there, has a wealth of knowledge to pass on about the items in the store. This is the place I could drop a chunk of my lottery winnings in. :) I’m ready to win.

I have shopped at this store repeatedly and until now always enjoyed the customer service. I will admit that the employees take the time to show and tell about all of their pieces and are usually very friendly. However, my issues with the business began with the quality of the product. After having their jewelry for only a few short months, most of my pieces have started to fall apart. Three pairs of earrings came completely dismantled in different ways. On one pair the post broke off, another pair the stone fell out, and the third pair came unglued. When I came in with my first problem, I went to the MacArthur mall location. Russell was very helpful and agreed to fix a pair at no cost. I happily resolved to buy another pair to replace one that couldn’t be fixed because I appreciated the customer service and I thought that it was maybe my fault. Although I am an avid jewelry consumer and have never had such issues, I conceded. Yet, before I could even take my new pair out of the bag they were wrapped up in, they had fallen apart. It was at this point I realized that their jewelry is indeed«overpriced trinkets.» So I took my pieces of disassembled trash back to the store, this time at the Laskin Road shop. This is where I encountered the owner who has been extremely polite and helpful to me in the past. On this day, she was apparently not in the mood for niceties. After I explained to her that I had purchased yet another faulty product from the store, she made it clear that she didn’t care. She was prepared with every excuse in the book, and not once did she apologize for my continued inconveniences. In fact, when I opted to just return the product she said«well it is a very popular piece and I’m sure someone else would be happy to buy it.» Well good for them. I told her that these kind of problems were going to make not want to visit the store anymore, and she responded with«Well have you been sleeping in the jewelry? Showering in it?» As a matter of fact no I have not. «Well maybe you should stay away from earrings in this setting, or glued with an adhesive.» She also at one point felt the need to mention that they never have any problems with returns besides sizing, still indicating that it was my fault. Well it is your fault that I won’t be returning to the store anymore.

I had a bad experience from Be Jeweled at MacArthuor Mall in Norfolk, VA. I called the owner Russ up and asked him if he a certain jewerlery item in stock, he said yes, he quoted me a price over the phone and when I got to hos store he jacked up the price on me. I further felt creepy on this day when I looked in his display to see a human skull carved out of what looked like an animal bone, but his display says«native american». I then began talking with his young female assistant and she seemed like she had difficulty recollecting the day and had difficulty holding a conversation, she just stood and stared at me(how strange). I just got a real creepy feeling from this business and from the owner and his assistant. I now shop on QVC and other places and Businesses I feel good about, oh by the way, that piece of Jewerly that he jacked the price up me. I saw three times better at Dillards, both in Quality and workmanship, now I buy from someplace that I feel more comfortable at. Basically, this is a an overpriced trinket shop, oh, and if you buy merchandise, you will only get cash back if under $ 10.00 and if it is with 30 days of your purchase anything over that the owner will mail you a refund within 15 days. Most businesses do not practice this shell game. Really Creeeepy!
