Easy to consign… end result not so much. Felt these business people to be very short tempered an not at all nice to deal with. Will donate next time.

There’s something really old in me. I’m fascinated by old things. I like to play with old coins. I love the idea of things being decades old in great condition. While I’m no fan of being the second user or hand me downs, there’s lots of history in old items. 2nd Acts is a great place to go find consigned items. Here, you’ll find many cool gems… some are a bit beat up, others, you’ll never guess are two to three times my age. I picked up an old chest that literally smells like 1912 inside and a chair that looks to be from the 30s and 40s yet has a brand new look. Since it’s a consignment store you have the ability to do make offer on items. I did for the things I bought and was by only $ 13 on what I offered for both. A highly recommended place and a friendly staff that seems to be quite knowledgable. Donald was the guy I worked with and I plan on going back for a few more items.

This place was pretty large with a huge selection of home goods, clothes, and jewelry. They had furniture, lamps, plates, jewelry, decorative stuff, clothes, shoes, etc. You name it, they probably have something like it. The older man behind the counter was very friendly though I came in about 4 minutes before close and told me to take my time and take a few minutes looking around and not to worry about rushing out. I saw several nice items that were well priced and in good condition. There was a beautiful mirrored piece of furniture when I first walked in as well as some pretty mirrored decorative pieces throughout the store and some nice furniture and kitchen plates. Worth a look if you want to find some vintage treasures in good shape!

I used to work next door to this shop. It is one of my mother’s favorite consignment shops in Norfolk. I was actually able to purchase a gift certificate for her as a mother’s day gift. I also bought a purse from them. It was in great condition! They have a variety of items to choose from, like clothing, shoes, furniture, jewelry, etc. There was a gentleman who worked there. I cannot remember his name, but he was very nice from what I can remember. The other employee,(not the manager) an older woman named Pat, was so sweet. One day I went into the store with my mother and my younger sister Cammy. My sister was sick and Mrs. Pat was talking to her. She asked what her name was. My sister told her and then my mother informed her that she wasn’t feeling well. The next time we went in, Mrs. Pat immediately asked«Hi Cammy! Are you feeling better?» I know it isn’t much but the fact that she remembered her name, and that she asked how she was feeling really made our day. She truly was a wonderful person, and to be honest, she was one of the main reasons my mother and I shopped there. Recently I discovered that she passed away. She will be missed dearly. I haven’t been back but overall it is a pretty neat place to shop.

2nd Act Consignment is a pretty classy ‘thrift store’ located in the Ghent section of Norfolk. Actually, the way that some things are priced in this store makes it hard for me to actually call it a thrift store. These aren’t thrift store prices but the quality of clothing is also much higher than the average thrift shop. I go inside and browse around from time to time but I have never actually bought anything because the jewelry/clothing seems to be for an older age group. They have accessories, shoes, purses, clothes and even an area of smaller furniture.
