Oakbrook Pointe Apartments

Horrible. Rude office staff, I’ve been requesting maitenence since May (it’s October) and nothing has been done. I signed a year lease for a newly renovated one bedroom apartment for $ 808 (w/​washer and dryer). When I moved in I still had the old carpet, leaky fridge and dishwasher had to be replaced, stove top still doesn’t work, outlet issues, cabinets that were still wet from being sloppily painted the day I moved in but still had old paint and grafitti inside the cabinets. I suspect we have mold and we certainly get our share of bugs. Loud complex with crime. They will charge you a late fee of $ 50 plus $ 5 per day you’re late on rent, even, in my case if it’s only by .99¢. They won’t hesitate to threaten to evict you or charge you fees for other people’s litter and trash but they’ll never actually get around to doing what you ask. I can’t wait to move anywhere but here.

Cockroaches, mold, rude maintenance staff when existent, crime. A shooting yesterday no more than a mile away from Oakbrooke Point left 1 dead and many injured. Drug dealers, gang members, and murderers live here. 20 were involved in the shootout. They have no control over the shootout, but they told me before we signed the lease that the area is not bad. The lie detector test determined that was a lie. The noise from neighbors will insure you are late to work, and the security is a joke. They are doing everything they can to make sure everything looks good on the outside. Talk to your would-​be neighbors before you think of signing your life away for a year. They will either assault you or tell you to run for your life.
