A great live music opportunity on Friday nights at The Ballroom at Nemoe’s(in the back of the restaurant!) Just $ 10 cash gets you in, and the bands play from 9PM until midnight, with a DJ beforehand. A rotating selection of local party bands plays on a weekly basis. Great hardwood dancefloor, too. Reserved seating is available(tables or at the bar), and customers can dine while they watch the show. Shag Atlanta hosts lessons and dances here on Saturday nights, and the Atlanta Swing Dance Club holds lessons and dances on Sunday nights. Trivia in the front of the house on Thursday nights, as well.

My partner and I decided to eat here for a date night not expecting anything special and were blown away. We were offered excellent service by a young lady and ordered a bottle of wine. They were out of the one we requested and the owner himself came over and apologized and offered an upgrade free of charge. The food was awesome and due to the service provided we decided to order desert as well! We will definitely be back since we live right up the road. Thank you!

I was in town for business and this was close to hotel. Was unsure about the place as its cedar is less then charming. Ordered the 20.00 Ribeye. Very very happy. The salad before was great. Several types of lettuce. Nice and crisp. Steak was quite good decent flavor. Cooked to right temperature. Heather the bartender was magnificent. Very attentive. Incredibly personable and has that classic southern charm. Seemed to know all the locals that were in with me.

Very fresh tasty grilled shrimp, perfectly cooked baked potato, cold salad with a hose made ranch… all good. Top it off with a great piece of kelime pie and you have a nice seafood dinner for just a little over $ 20. If you like good food, 70’s music and solid service from a friendly server named Anthony this is your place.

Nemoe’s is the most underrated, not known place around. Not sure why this place is not packed all the time. The food is always GREAT! It is great tasting, large portions, and priced right! Fred the owner really knows his food. All the pasta dishes are exceptional. Everyone I refer there tells me how surprised on how an experience they had and can’t wait to go back. Ask for the champagne grouper it is awesome!

Really nice casual atmosphere and a really friendly staff. Made me feel right at home. I had blackened grouper, steamed veggies and salad with home made ranch dressing. It was all good! Heather at the bar was great help, couldn’t be nicer! Thank you!

Don’t let the atmosphere and décor(or lack thereof) fool you. This place has more to offer than what you’d think. The food is fantastic! Their servers and bartender are super friendly and helpful. I’ve eaten here several times and never had a bad dish.

I really like the gumbo, calamari, buffalo chicken sandwiches, fries, and hamburgers. The steaks are good too and less than $ 20. Great food for a good price. I’m not a bar person, but to me it has a bar sort of feel. Lots of wood and relaxed sort of atmosphere. Lots of after work professionals stopping off for a beer as well as lots of locals, like me. A few of the interesting sounding European dishes, which I’ve not tried yet, are Shrimp Corfu, Lobster Ravioli, and Champagne Chicken. I just read some other reviews here and want to comment. This is a great restaurant. If you are looking for neo-American, blah-blah-fusion, or gourmet fine dining, keep moving and don’t leave a bad review just because it’s not up to your fine gourmet dining experience standards. On the other hand, if you want some classic American and European food for a good price with a relaxing pub atmosphere, you found it.

Very large and very fresh seafood. I had a shrimp platter, which was seasoned well. My husband had a pasta of some sort that he didn’t care for. It is casual dining and family friendly. Friendly service. They had live performance(and poker in the back) on the Thursday that we went and speaking to the waiter it seems like they have something going on nightly. I’d recommend for a lazy day where you don’t feel like cooking and want seafood.

We had been wanting to try Nemoes since moving to the area. After confirming there was wi-fi for the kids iPads(2&5) we gave it a shot. Walking past the hostess station the place screams for the food network to send a make-over show to update the look. Not an issue with me until my fried calamari($ 8) showed up. It was a handful of small frozen rings over cooked and rubbery did not come with appetizer plates. Not at all what I expected from a place with a seafood menu. That was the last we saw the waiter for a while(they were not very busy where I was sitting). An older guy dropped off our meals and huffed when I asked for drink refills. My Philly was good, my wife’s burger was good, the kids chicken tenders were over cooked and the fries were swimming in spilled honey mustard. About half way through the meal the waiter reappeared and filled our drinks. I doubt this will be a place we go back to.

They spend their money in one place only: fresh seafood. The place has been here forever, for a shopping-center restaurant. Come here for fresh seafood wonderfully prepared. Not a place I’d recommend for a first date.

In town for 24 hours for a meeting. This place was close to the hotel and delivered the perfect late night tavern style dinner. Coworker got the grouper — it was fresh and tasty, but the augratin potatoes were absolutely fabulous(Alfredo sauce?) I had the Cajun club and it rocked, too. Get the chipotle ranch for dipping your fries. It’s a tavern, not a steak house. Set your expectation level for a good«comfort food» meal, well poured drinks and a very friendly bartender. I think her name was JJ… Sit at the bar and enjoy a good meal!

under seasoned, bland, and boring. per another reviewers comment, if you think applebees food is «where its at», you probably would enjoy it. don’t bother if you are looking for anything remotely unique, above average, or exciting, keep going. did have a really sweet server who was really trying hard. but when serving food like that, there is nothing you can do.

This is the epitome of casual dining. If you like Applebee’s, you’ll love it here. The food was actually pretty tasty… but not gourmet. The gumbo and clam chowder would not pass muster with anyone from New Orleans or Boston. The seafood shish kabob had fair shrimp, okay scallops, and extremely dry overcooked tuna. I can’t speak to the steak, because the one person at our table who got steak is the kind of person who orders it well-done and butterflied. On a Sunday evening it was not too busy, but a crowd of guys watching golf were whooping and cheering like it was a football game. I didn’t mind the noise, but hearing it with golf was a bit surreal. The interior is dark with lots of wood. I didn’t mind the décor(although there’s not a lot of it), but the TVs showing Keno made it feel a lot more divey than it otherwise would. So, if you order your steaks well-done, you’ll probably feel right at home. The food will be very tasty and reasonably priced. If you’re more discerning in what you eat, Nemoe’s probably isn’t for you.

Hungry and tired, I wasn’t in the spirit of cooking. Drove to the nearest have-not-tried restaurants — Nemoe’s Tavern & Grill. A folded sign next to the entrance: Biker’s Day. I thought, cool. No biggie. The moment I walked in, I think I walked into a senior’s bar. «Um, take out please.» My eyes quickly skimmed thru the special featured board at the walk in area, then pointed to the board and said to my server, «I’ll take the Fish and Chips» hand over $ 15 and left. The take out food was quite decently well made, I must say. But I don’t think I’ll be back again after I hit my 60’s and above.

For the price I got, I am satisfy with the portion of the food. The steak was grilled beautifully, although it is a little fatty. But anything else(soups, seafood pasta and its tomato sauce) I had was like made from frozen and can food. I would like to pay more money for fresh food.

Fish and chips and lunch with wifey. We’ll be back to check out the local bar scene as there are so few decent bars near our neighborhood.

I went here for lunch and tried the Cajun shrimp, it was way better than I expected, all I can ask for is more please. The servers were extremely nice and I met the owner as well who was quite funny. I have already returned for seconds but neglected to give a review on my experience. I would like to go back in the evening some time to experience the DJ or the bands that play there.

My mistake thinking this place was located in the old Tomas. It’s not. Instead it’s a wood-paneled dive in Norcross of all places. Sure, I wasn’t looking for Bones or anything, but this place wasn’t at all what I’d expected. I was mostly here to drink, and drink I did. Also ordered some mussels — eh. They tasted like they were probably from one of those boxes at Publix you defrost at home. Not horrible, but not great, either. Bread was lacking. Just a cheap experience all around… and one I won’t relive, thank you very much.

Nemoe’s has been great about supporting the dancing community. They have West Coast Swing Dancing on Sunday and Wednesday nights, as well as Shag I think another night. Their backroom is perfect for this and they are always great about making sure the tables are cleared to provide enough of a dance floor. I’ve had the chicken parm and it was decent, as well as their burger. I’m not sure if I would go if they did not provide the dancing environment, but their food does come out quickly and correctly. I can not say anything negative about the service, and I do keep telling myself I want to go back and check it out on an evening when I’m not dancing the night away to give a larger meal a chance to be savored. Portion sizes are great, and depending on appetites, possible to split with a friend.
