Everyone should make an excursion here with a pack of friends to have an adventure. There are shops to browse, and would work well either before or after a gastronomic excursion. Bring cash. There are a pack of different storefronts in the food court. There’s awesome naan and samosas and fiery things. This is the only spot I know of that has a window for Indian-style Chinese food(as opposed to American-style Chinese food). And the Indian take on pizza is truly delightful. They’re all cheap enough that you can explore through some truly unusual or uncomfortably hot dishes without worrying about going hungry. There are tons of tables that can be pulled together to accommodate any size group.

Not sure why«Bakery» is in the name, as the place is called«Global Mall» and has many vendors inside that have their hands in many different non-bakery lines of business. I come here to get unique and beautiful scarves from the shops that sell traditional Indian garb, like sari. Also, I have tried food from at least 3 of the vendors in the food court area and everything(chicken tikka masala, gulab jamun, rasmalai, etc.) has been reasonably-priced and very tasty. The parking lot is ample and while it can get full(especially on the weekends), you can probably find something. Start wearing a pedometer like me and you’ll be wanted to take the parking spot that seems like it’s 2 blocks away from the entrance.

This place is a straight-up complex! It has typical mall stuff like places to eat, clothing stores, music stores, but there are also things like a learning center, dance center, health care offices. It seems like it could use a little livening up. Oh — theres a mini-temple thing there too. You have to take your shoes off to enter. There are some beautiful blingy saris at this place. Very fashionable!

Global Mall(off Jimmy Carter Blvd) caters to a «South Asian» clientele, and the food court is unapologetically ethnic. So we organized a small UYE(Unofficial Unilocal Event) to discover this place among a few other very nice finds in that food court. Of all the places we sampled that day, none of them disappointed. But I might have to say this one was my favorite of the bunch. There’s a good mixture of traditional and innovative things here. And they make everything fresh, daily, on the premises. Even other restaurants in the area pointed to Global Café & Bakery when asked who made the best mango lassi. My favorite dish: The Tikka Pizza. Totally non-traditional, and totally worth it. It’s a pie made on something like a large naan bread, with some delicious tandoori cooked cheeses and an excellent sauce. I’m getting hungry just thinking about it. I’ll eventually go back to try this item again. Holler if you’re coming with.
