First and most important tip: Ask for Randi. Best waitress west of the St Johns River. Great location and live music on the river makes this an awesome stop. The food is good when they have what you want(horseradish sauce would be a nice addition, just putting that out there) :)

This is a pretty cool and funky place to grab lunch, dinner or a beer by the lazy river. You wouldn’t expect it to be clean, but it sure seems to be. And the staff seems really knowledgeable, friendly and pleased you stopped by. Lots of fried stuff on the menu, and it’s done well – not greasy. Good prices! Small menu, but it has good stuff on it… and they even have Guinness in bottles. And, they’ll make something special for you, if what you crave isn’t on the menu and they’ve got the parts – just ask! Gravel parking lot, quite a bit of seating(mostly along the river) – this is a pretty busy grub joint. Sure isn’t fancy, but it’s a good value and cool, too. And who’s not sick of fancy, anyway? I’ll be back…

Great little place right on the river. Best coleslaw ever. Catfish sandwich was delicious. Worth the few extra miles to swing over from 75.

This local jewel nestled along the banks of the withalacoochee river in the tri-county hamlet of Nobleton is a must stop… great food and beverages with home cooked daily specials and desserts… it is on the route to and from the Florida National Cemetery… what a great place to pay tribute to loved ones, rent a canoe, kayak or paddle boat. dine in or enjoy a river front«al fresco» experience… live music, and karaōke… If Jimmy Buffet lived around here he would probably hang out at River Ratz Café… just sayin…

Everyone here was super nice. It was our first time they have live music on Sunday’s which is great cause it’s our day off yayyy. our server was Jane we had a lot of fun and the Manager Steve was so attentive and wanted to make sure our first time won’t be our last and it won’t. Policewomen Cathy was a riot. Steve surprised us with a free combo appetizer for being first timers. The peel and eat shrimp were sooooo good as was the meatball subs and mushroom Swiss burger they made especially for my son which was not on the menu. Give it a try looks like a hole in the wall but those are the best places.

The staff at the River Ratz Café made us feel right at home! Lots of outdoor seating, live music on Sunday, and a family friendly atmosphere on the water make this a must for lunch if you’re in the area. We got a free appetizer sampler for being first time customers — jalapeño poppers, fried okra, fried mushrooms and onion rings were excellent. Spicy mayo was a great complement to the apps. The fried catfish was excellent! Just the right amount of breading, and a really good flavor. Decent selection of bottled beer, and you get a free paddle boat ride after your meal! Don’t be turned off by the biker bar vibe, the food is great, and everyone we talked to was really friendly. We’ll come back next time we’re in the area!

Awesome little riverside café. Very unique. The waitresses and cook were very nice. Food was awesome. All three in my party had potato soup, meatball subs, and we split a key lime pie. Everything was home made, authentic, and fantastic! Worth the side trip off I-75.

River Ratz use to be our go to place since we live within a few miles. The food was always awesome. Sometimes we would order and take it home. The servers definitely need to smile more. They come off unfriendly and as if you are a burden. The older lady we dealt with IGNORED us. Another waitress had to point out that we were there twice for her to acknowledge us. They spiked their prices and the once«pick your sides» turned into french fries or pay more for substitutions. I never understood that. If your paying to replace a side thats buying a side dish not substitution. We cancelled our order and went somewhere else. So bad service but decent food.

I found them on Unilocal.I will never pass by without stopping. The team was very friendly as was the other guests! Save room for dessert they looked awesome but we were too full to have it. If I could change one thing … I’d get the dessert to go!

Saw the sign for this place on the highway and was was such a pleasant afternoon… lunch was super delicious, we had the wings(try the blackened garlic version… oh, Mamma. they were sssooo good and the peel and eat shrimp, cold, FIRMANDLUCIOUS. The place sits right on the river, people are super friendly and much to my delight there is even dedicated parking for your horse. and a few folks had ridden over!

Driving up you almost miss this quaint little River Ratz Café. Located on the water you get the true feel for Florida summer swamp land. Family oriented children play in the river while grandpas sing karaōke on a Wednesday night. We arrived too late for the chicken special. I ordered the Northern bean soup served with cornbread. It was not my favorite but it was hot and filling. My husband ordered a Philly cheese steak sandwich with fries and he did not leave a crumb. The wings were tasty but not my favorite. The best item ordered was my mother in laws peel and eat shrimp. They were jumbo, hot and delightfully seasoned! You can not beat the atmosphere!

Cool place. Very different set up and awesome location. Seemed the kitchen was in a trailer and you ate on a patio. Very good sandwiches. Full menu looked interesting. Will be going back simply because of the atmosphere.

Great atmosphere here. Nice and peaceful to sit and enjoy a cold beer down by the river. Staff is always friendly! The Redneck burger is always a great choice. If you are out in Nobleton stop by and give this place a try. Super relaxed with both inside and outside seating… you feel like you’re at a friends house.

This little gem by the withlacoochee river is amazing. We had the paddlers salad with fresh greens and veggies and the red neck burger. Both had superior quality and taste. Our waitress Stephanie was a great host during our visit and was very knowledgeable and welcoming. Will be back again even though it’s a day trip for us.

The burgers are awesome! We stopped there on our bike ride up the Withlacoochee trail. The people who work there are really friendly, and we will go back as soon as possible. they also have canoeing.

This café doesn’t look like much as you drive by, but it is wonderful! It’s right on the Withlacoochee River and has patio seating on the street side as well as the river side. I had the grilled catfish sandwich and it was really good! The catfish was the tastiest I’ve had, and the tomatoes were«to die for» … in December they were juicy and red and delicious! The waitress said it’s because the owner has a farm as well and all the produce is fresh. My husband had the burger with bacon and he really liked it as well! We shared the pumpkin cheesecake for dessert(seasonal) and loved it too! Great food, great location, great service, this place has it all!

The low rating is due to the service. The servers are really nice, but they cannot keep up with the volume of bikers that visit on the weekends. If you want to take a quick break to stretch your legs after a long ride, this is a cool spot(if you can find a seat). The food quality is normal fried food and burgers… nothing really stood out on the menu. The high point was the live band. It was really cool and entertaining.
