What a cute coffee shop! I met some girlfriends here for some sweets and drinks. The atmosphere is very relaxed and eclectic with a wide arrange of seating, tables and decorations. The one employee working was very kind and friendly. We sat and chatted for about 45 minutes before ordering and I don’t know how we lasted that long. The aroma of the pastries was ridiculous! I wanted to order one of everything! I ended up choosing the Raspberry twist pastry and it was delicious. Just enough raspberry filling and the puff pastry was perfectly cooked. One of my girlfriends ordered a Nutella and Strawberry crêpe and I was soooo jealous. It looked and smelled amazing. Plus I am sucker for some Nutella. I will have to go back just for the crepes!

First tried this place two days ago to grab some treats for a company meeting and it was a huge hit. They have gluten free options too! Then went again today with the family and it was very relaxing and delicious with a very friendly and helpful staff. The chocolate croissants are great, and we had an egg and cheese crêpe which was good and my wife ordered a goat cheese and honey crêpe which was really great.

I sort of stumbled into Urban Pastries, a sort of Euro-themed bakery/café located in a strip center setting in Noblesville just off 146th& Hazel Dell Crossing. Having recently ventured into a few similar strip center settings, I will admit that I was initially hesitant to enter the place as I was expecting over-priced and over-rated options. However, I’d actually pulled in to the strip center hoping that another restaurant I’d seen from the street was open. It wasn’t. So, while I continued exploring lunch options I figured«Why not start with dessert?» As I noted, Urban Pastries is a definite notch above most strip center bakery locales. They actually seem to take atmosphere setting seriously. While I’d say the décor is rather simple and straightforward, it definitely fits what they’re going for here. There’s a couple of ADA compliant parking spots and the front door is fairly workable. There’s a handful of small, Euro-café type tables inside along with a counter that would not be wheelchair friendly. There’s an ordering counter area where you can pretty easily see all the options for the day that essentially fall into«sweet»(cinnamon rolls, bearclaws, palmier, chocolate croissants, croissants, etc.) and«savory»(croissants with creative ingredients like pizza, mushrooms, cheese, potato, etc.) along with European coffees, made via a high-end Nescafe machine, and a variety of sandwich concoctions. I was impressed that when I ordered a single pizza croissant that the gentleman at the counter(owner, perhaps?) decided it was smaller than usual and gave me two. The prices are reasonable with savory pastries being«small» and $ 1.59, while«sweet» pastries come in «small» for $ 1.59 and large for $ 2.55. If you expect to find your typical American fare, you’ll be disappointed but those with more flexible tastes will likely light up when you step inside(or wheel inside, like me) warm, friendly environment with authentic people and a delightful dog that seems to quietly greet everyone. I could really only find one table that worked well with the wheelchair, though there may have been one other that was taken at the time. There were a handful of customers at the time I arrived in early afternoon and a fairly steady flow for the time I was there. Urban Pastries, despite the name, it is not«urban» and is remarkably quiet, avoids distractions like televisions. I will admit that it threw me off to see that the link to their website isn’t active — I double-checked and it’s the link they use on their Facebook page, as well. That said, their Facebook page has most of the info you would need. As I noted, I tried the pizza pastry, a nice weaving together of pizza-style toppings into their light, flaky pastry. The pizza flavor is present, but not dominant. The pastry is definitely the thing here. I felt like I was being both decadent and somewhat healthier. The gentleman at the counter, who may have been the owner or at least connected to ownership, took the time to explain the offerings and also gently guided a younger employee in a way that seemed positive and encouraging. The customers, as well, were all friendly and warm. It was truly just a positive atmosphere. I wrestled between a 4 – 5 star rating, but in the end I’m going to say it falls a wee bit shy of perfection and I’ll vote for a 4-star rating for now. While Noblesville is out of my way, this is incredibly close to being a bakery worth being a destination spot. At the minimum, I’ll definitely be back.

I love Urban Pastries because they have such a variety to choose from. I don’t have a sweet tooth whatsoever so it’s nice to have other options. The cheese and mushroom pastries are two of my favorites. The owners are so so nice! I used to go in a lot because I worked extremely close. The entire staff has always been so friendly. If you’re looking for a place to study or have a meeting I would definitely recommend coming here. There are some cozy chairs, as well as, some high top tables that seat anywhere from 2 – 6. Overall, a great pastry place!

This is a very nice pastry and coffee shop. The chairs and set up where you sit and relax reminds me of someone’s den with cushy arm chairs, small sofa, and bar with stools. The coffee is very tasty even though it’s from a machine. But it’s a nice Nespresso machine, so it’s quality coffee. I liked it a lot. And there’s endless sweeteners to flavor it, while the machine also makes cappuccinos and lattes. The pastries taste great. Light and flaky with buttery flavor. I liked the sweet small pastries, and my son enjoyed his chocolate croissant. The cheese Danish was delish. Ample parking in this strip mall. Give them a try!

I visited this gem because of the positive reviews on Unilocal. It was amazing! I thought I had experienced croissants before, but this bakery proved me wrong. You could literally smell the butter and taste each flaky layer of their pastries. I ordered turnovers and chocolate croissants. Everything was beyond delicious. They have limited amounts in the afternoon. Seems like most things were sold out by the time I visited(2−3pm). They also made fresh crepes, but I didn’t try them.

It’s my favorite bakery/café in Indianapolis area. Of course the croissants and the pastries are delicious, but the mood of the café itself is also great! It’s a lovely place with friendly people. I recommend the mini chocolate croissants, although apparently they only do that on weekends. You have to call ahead of time(a day before) to have them made on weekdays.

THESMELLS. Good smells, of course. Their sweet and savory selections are exquisite. I can’t begin to tell you how pleased I am with this place as it’s a true gem. I wish it weren’t so tucked away in a strip of businesses — but then again it seems to be working for them. I ordered an array of their sweet pastries the other day for a work event and every single person was impressed. Warm, flaky — delightful. The gal I spoke with on the phone(I believe she was the owner) was incredibly friendly and wanted to make sure I had everything taken care of for the event(a tray, the right assortment, pick up time, etc.) The shop would be great if you’re looking for a place to study or just read at leisure. There are a couple of comfy seats and then a larger table that probably seats 6 – 7 people. Great place in Noblesville! I’ll definitely be going back.

Delicious! Get in early to get the variety. They will warm your pastry up. They coffee /beverage is hot. I like crepes, but I don’t care for the ham they use in the crêpe here. It has a cheap deli taste. The staff is nice and the store is clean.

I work in two different locations and this place is conveniently(dangerously) located midway between them. For less than $ 5, I can get a cappuccino from the Nescafé machine and a tasty mini turnover — the perfect late afternoon snack. The owner is friendly and each flavor of pastry that I’ve tried has been satisfying, including both savory and sweet.

I’m a coffee fiend, and this place has my favorite coffee in the Indianapolis area. They have a Nescafé machine that delivers the perfect cup every time. I find the staff to be friendly and very helpful. If they’re not busy, they’ll chat pleasantly with you. Worth every penny!

I am excited to find a bakery with croissants made the way God intended them to be: crunchy on the outside but buttery and soft on the inside, and so flaky that they make a mess of your shirt as you eat them.(Crumbs. Flaky crumbs everywhere.) I ordered a chocolate croissant, which was rich and good. The proportion of chocolate to croissant was spot-on, and the chocolate was gooey and melted inside the warm pastry. When you order coffee, you dispense it yourself from a nifty machine. You put your cup under the spigot, press a button, and it comes out all by itself. The coffee was good. I got my order to go, but I wish I had time to stay a while and enjoy my treat in the bakery, as it looked very cozy and inviting.

Wish I could give it a 3.5. Came here on a Saturday morning and there were three of us inside. Tried a open-faced cream cheese pastry and a large cup of coffee. She heated the pastry for me and it was pretty good. As others have said, coffee comes from a machine, and I felt weird about that, but it was certainly fine. I think if I’d had someone with me and we could have tried a variety of pastries, I would have liked it more. Ambiance is cute. I’ll be back.

Wasn’t sure what to expect when I read about savory pastries, but decided to give them a try. I am so glad that I did! The olive and cheese was amazing! The owner was the person behind the counter and she was very friendly and helpful. I had a strawberry and vanilla crème crêpe’ and it was delicious!

I drove in from NYC a couple of days ago to spend sometime in Indiana with my friend, my friend *knowing that I absolutely love bakeries and pastries* referred me to this bakery and I decided to give it a shot, I was not in the least disappointed, by far the best crepes I have tasted not to mention the beautiful interior décor and the friendly personalities of the workers there, I will definitely be coming back here on my next visit.

Don’t mind if I do eat the flaky bits and pieces leftover from my pastry binge found in the folds of my jacket. I wish I could have stayed a little while here in this cozy sweet & savory pastry nook in Noblesville but instead I purchased 7 pastries to-go(around $ 9) and ate two on my way home… ooops. I was honestly a bit surprised walking into this pastry shop. It may just be me but I haven’t found too many unique gems tucked into strip malls on the Northside. So walking into Urban Pastries I was a little blown away and bug eyed drooling over all the freshly baked pastries laid out all over the counters in full view exposing themselves to my hungry eyes to see. I really felt like I was transported out of Nobelsvile and into a pastry shop in another city. So many choices… thankfully the owners explained all of their delicious creations and I was able to narrow down my selections: chocolate croissant, spinach pastry, olive and cheese pastry, cheese danish, apple turnover, mini chocolate twist, and pizza pastry. The dough is so light and flaky and simply melts in your mouth. The winners for me were the savory selections. I especially loved the spinach pastry & olive and cheese. I would love to get a hold of one of those delights as they are coming fresh out of the oven! Cute little place to stay a little while and enjoy. Apparently every Thursday night they have French Crepes and weekends they offer mini Dutch Pancakes. Perfect little spot to treat yo-self!

My stomach feels like it is about to explode… Meaning? Review time. I went in this morning at around 10AM I was the only person inside. I saw(who I am guessing from photos is) the owner. He went into the back, without a word, and grabbed another woman. She came out was super nice. I had never been in before, so did my typical bake shop go-to of one of everything. I hail from St. Louis and there we have the joy of having bakeries like Seattle has Starbucks. There were probably three within walking distance and 10+ more within a five minute drive. French bakeries. Regular bakeries. Coffee shop bakeries. Mexican bake shops. Italian bake shops. Anything you could imagine. So my bakery tasting experiences are fairly high. So keep that in mind. I wound up with seven items. Here’s what’s been tried by me and my tasting crew thus far: Chocolate croissant: flaky. Soft. Buttery notes. But I don’t believe the other reviewers who say there’s a full bar of chocolate inside… There was only chocolate in the very center of the one I got. Good, but I have had better… Baklava: this was good. A little more honey than I am used to — but truly nice Cinnamon roll — split with someone else. Looked phenomenal, but tasted average at best. Raspberry turnover — my father thought this was the shining star of what I got. I don’t like raspberry, so I have no comment We also got some items that have yet to be eaten. But based on those, I would say the friendly lady is what kept this from slipping to 3 stars. I understand how it thrives with great reviews in the area… Lack of options. I have no doubt it probably is a gem in this area, but from a larger vantage point? It’s average. Maybe the name made me think the pastries would be more inspired… Or like I said maybe Gatorade macarons and pumpkin mascarpone croissants have raised the bar. Who knows.

Love this place! It’s a little bit of a trek from the castleton area but definitely worth it! I LOVE savory pastries. In India most bakeries have savory pastries and in New Zealand even gas stations carry savory pies. I have never seen a place like this in Indy or in the U.S. for that matter. After leaving our 4 month old in daycare, the hubby and I decided we deserved a date day. So we stopped by Urban pastries for some coffee and goodies and caught a movie after. We tried potato, olive and cheese, chocolate and vanilla custard. The potato reminds me so much of the«Indian puff» that you get in India. It was delicious! I like the fact that it was seasoned and did not taste like mashed potatoes in puff pastry. The olive and cheese has a nice salty taste from the olives. The chocolate was not too sugary sweet — it was perfect. We enjoyed the pastries so much we decided to stick around till the mushroom and spinach that they were baking in the oven got done. We took them to go but the smell was so enticing we devoured it in the parking lot before we could get to the movies! We will definitely be back WITH friends!
