If I could give this place less than one star, I would have. The worst restaurant in Nipomo insofar as service is concerned. Rude, rude rude!!! And we’ve given them more than one chance(we don’t live far from it) to be better. It’s just awful, go somewhere else. You don’t need to be treated like that.

This place was pretty good. They had a variety of breakfast options. The waitress was very nice and prompt at getting us what we wanted to drink and taking our orders. I ordered the French toast combo and made it a strawberry French toast with over hard eggs and sausage. My husband ordered the ham that came with hash and eggs. The food was delicious. Strawberry French Toast tasted of cinnamon with strawberries. So good! The sausage and ham were moist and had a lot of flavor. The ambience of the restaurant itself felt like home. Great breakfast spot.

Good breakfast food with large servings. This place has been here for awhile and it shows in the food. Just wish they had homemade corn beef hash

This is an update on my original review of Cowgirls, in Nipomo(didn’t realize that there was more than one until recently). I have since had brekkies here twice, and finally, lunch here, with my wife. The breakfasts have been consistently very good, as is the service and prices. Lunch proved to be as good as breakfast. My wife and I both had the regular burger, which is a double, no cheese, but with produce(lettuce, tomato, onion & pickles). Additional toppings, such as cheese, bacon, brilled onion, is 75 cents extra, but considering that the double burger is only a little over $ 6, its a good deal. The whole combo of burger and fries(EXCELLENT fries) comes to less that $ 10, and thats about average for a food café-type burger. This place has become a regular spot for me, and the ‘head lady’(owner/manager?) knows me as «The Wolf Guy»…its good to be known! LOL!

Perfect spot for a hardy eggs & sausage or omlette or pancake breakfast. The coffee is frest and the service is attentive. My sever Janell is a great ambassador for both the restaurant chain(there are 4 Cowgirl Cafes in SLO County) and for the region… Caution if you order an omlette with bacon. I requested they make it with very little bacon. Guess I needed to be more specific, as it wa so full of super salty bacon I could barely taste the eggs. — mms

Really good breakfast selection! Large portions, and the pancakes are awesome. Just wish they had longer hours so we could see what a dinner selection might look like.

It’s a cute little restaurant with a western style to it. Their breakfast is the best! They have delicious omelettes, breakfast combos, burritos and let’s not forget the French toast. Staff is friendly and service is quick too(at least every time I’ve gone). Big two thumbs up to this place. I can’t stop going!

I was there for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Was seated and had a menu pretty quickly. Drink order was taken as soon as we were seated and the refills came quite often. The food was good. I ordered an omelet and was surprised to see all the filling on top of the egg instead of inside. Service was friendly and food came out quick. My only complaint, that will keep me from going back, was the dishes were not clean. Our coffee cups had a residue of old coffee inside and the bowl of cottage cheese I received had something brown on top of the cottage cheese and splatters of something yellow inside the wall of the bowl. I think their dish washing system needs to be overhauled.

Breakfast here was good but not great. It is solid country food with nothing exotic. I thought the price were a bit high for what it was. The biscuits and gravy were good but the plate could have used more gravy. The service was good.

Came to this location due to the comments looking very good. Hope we just caught them on a bad day. My wife ordered steak and eggs the steak was terribly tough biscuits and gravy was cold and to spicy. Staff was fine service good place is clean. 485 for bowl of oatmeal seems little high.

We were seated right away despite them being super busy. The staff’s energy was amazing, again, despite the fact that they were so busy. The portions are just right for the price. The only nrgative aspect was that it took a little too long to get served(perhaps because they were busy). The fod was great by the wah! However, we will definitely come back when in the area as we have family & friends in Nipomo and other nearby cities.

So this is my default breakfast place in Nipomo. Seems that every time we come through this area we end up here for breakfast. If the have the chili verde special omelette GETIT. Great flavor and if you’re hungry get it with biscuits and gravy. THAT will fill you up.

Nevermind the food. The staff is extremely rude. Never been treated so bad walking in the door. Restaurant was not busy but they would not let us sit because we were waiting for a few more. They were being very ridiculous. Customer service at its worst.

Great breakfast this morning. Perfectly cooked eggs, terrific gravy, very tasty country sausage. Everyone enjoyed everything and the service was great. The only downside is that the pancakes were TOO huge. We felt that a shortstack could feed a family of 4. They were almost unappetizingly huge. So if you like them that way, this is the place. Sorry my pics are so glared out. It was a very sunny morning.

I usually eat the veggie omlet because it has every veggie I love uncluded: bell peppers, onions, mushrooms, avocado(ok its a fruit), chillies and so many more. Also their salsa is sooo delicious. Today we had french toast, scrambled eggs and bacon. So good. Occasionally I get the cinnamon roll but it is huge and have to share between three people to finish. I love all of the people who work there and they take time to get to know you and your family.

Not normally a person that writes bad reviews but definitely didn’t have a good experience here. Three main issues here. 1) getting a cup of coffee is almost impossible here. I got up and asked a total of three times if I could get my coffee filled. 2) the follow up from the waitress was non existent to say the least. Basics such as getting water refills, having dirty dishes removed or getting a clean napkin was impossible. 3) we were asked to leave after we were done eating. The first two are self explanatory. The third is my biggest complaint. If there is a line out the door then I totally agree that tables should be observant and courteous to the customers that are waiting. However in our case, it was Labor Day morning and there was one person waiting. A staff should NEVER ask their customers to leave. You make your own decisions but I was definitely not a satisfied customer.

We just finished eating here and everyone is leaving with a happy, full belly! Great comfort breakfast food. Eggs are cooked as requested, pancakes have the right amount of fluff and the bacon is perfectly crisp! The atmosphere is nice and clean with a dining space big enough for groups and kids. The service was a little slow and drink refills had to be requested, but it is Saturday. Worth the stop if you’re in the Nipomo area at breakfast/brunch time.
