Waited so long to see the doctor. Finally in the room, waited even more. Just be prepared to allot extra time in your schedule. Ask also how long it will take to get Rx footwear because that takes time too, longer processing time than others. Got my bill and their charges are much higher compared to other reputable doctors. Do your homework and ask those money questions prior to your appointment because they charge a lot more, the insurance only covers so much, then you are left with the difference. Do the research with other offices, it’s so worth it. Lastly, call your insurance because the homework responsibility on what your insurance will cover is on YOU(even though many of us don’t know exactly the specifics on what to cover prior to our appointment and what the doctor will professionally recommend we will need when we actually go in for our appointment) — the office sends a long letter out explaining this. Interesting, every other doctor/dentist I go to will ask for my insurance information so that his/her office will check on my benefits for me. I’m not an expert on medical billing, I’m the patient. Long waiting times, higher charges, and I have to do the work. Hmmm. Food for thought.

I have used this practice for myself and have been very happy with my treatment,. Today I took my mother, who unfortunately suffers from dementia, to see Dr. Richard Leitzen. My Mother can be a very challenging patient due to her disease. I can not say enough about how wonderful the staff and Dr. Leitzen were in accommodating my Mother’s needs. Dr. Leitzen was able to cajole my Mother into cooperating so he could perform the necessary exam and administer needed treatment. I am very grateful for both the practice’s outstanding professional services and compassionate treatment of their patients

I recently fell down a flight(well, specifically, missed three steps) of stairs. My foot swelled up to the size of a softball. At first, I went to an urgent care facility(which I will later Unilocal negatively about) nearby to get crutches. After about ten days, my swelling went down but I was still having problem with my foot, I decided to seek out a specialist. I looked up a few places online and decided to give Northwest Podiatry a try. The lady on the phone was very nice and even though they were all booked for the day, she was able to fit me in because I told her that I don’t think I can wait another week to see the doctor in case I broke something. Dr. Halihan was my podiatrist. He was very nice and thorough in terms of making sure I didn’t break anything. Furthermore, he didn’t push any unnecessary examinations/test on me just so that they can bill my insurance(something that a lot of medical practices do). I went back this week for followup and again, he was thorough in examining. Overall, I had a pretty good experience with the practice.
