A couple of months ago, I had dropped my out-of-warranty Dell laptop 2 days after which it’s screen went bust. It would have cheaper to buy a new laptop than have Dell replace it. I called a few local computer repair shops and got vague responses about whether they could replace the screen, when they could do it and how much it could cost. When I called Jay at Micronet systems, he explained right away that what the procedure would be and the range it would cost. He explained that I would have to leave the laptop with him. He would then open the screen and see the screen manufacturer’s details. He explained that each computer manufacturer used multiple manufactures for screens and he would need to see the details of my screen. After he did this, he gave me an estimate for the parts and labor. It was a reasonable estimate, around $ 200. When I said I was interested in getting the job done from him, he took 50% deposit, and ordered the screen. He said the he would have the screen in 7 – 10 days, but he called me in about 5 to let me know he had the screen. Then I left the laptop with him and 1 day later I got a call from Jay that the repair was all done. He then tested it to make sure everything was working well before returning it to me. Later this same laptop had it’s motherboard fail. Since it had happened soon after the screen replacement, Jay did data recovery for me and waived his fee. A couple of months later I took another laptop to him because somehow 2 screw at the bottom were missing. He searched within his spares and replaced the screws free of charge — something that the manufacturer was willing to do only if I shipped the laptop to them and then it would have taken 2 weeks for the whole process. My experience with Jay at Micronet Systems has been wonderful. He explains the why and how of things. He is punctual and keeps his word about timeline and cost estimate. Awesome customer service!!! I highly recommend him for all your computer repair needs.
