Has a larger selection than other oriental buffets, quality is ok. BTW, the doors were closed and lights out during the lunch hour on 11÷13÷14. There were no notices on the doors, anyone know what’s happening?.

Still doing good especially they had hire one lady to pick lobster for everyone. So No one left behind without eating lobster, but sorry for those greedy lobster lovers, they can’t get one full plate with lobster anymore.

My mom in law wanted to come here to celebrate her birthday because she loves buffet and heard good things about it from her co worker. We came here on a Saturday evening with no reservations, but we were seated right when we got there which is nice. The place looks like your standard Chinese buffet restaurant. As for the food, it was just ok to mediocre okay. There isn’t too much quality in the food, but quantity. Most of the food is Chinese. you’ll find some American like pizza, fries, and there’s also Japanese. There’s sushi and hibachi. The sushi were bad — I didn’t enjoy them and my expectations were low since it is a buffet. You don’t get fresh and good sushi at a buffet. I didn’t try the hibachi. On weekends they serve crab and lobster… that was fun! There wasnt too much of a line for it either. We got a lot of lobster, but they werent fresh. My sister said there was a smell to her lobsters. It was also fried too long that the skin melted in with the lobster meat. Overall, it’s a Chinese buffet. $ 13/person for dinner on a Saturday. That’s pretty cheap.

This is my grandma’s new favorite spot. I’ve been in with her for a weekday lunch and a Saturday night dinner. It’s… you know… ok. Not amazing and not as bad as some reviews make it out to be. I think lunch was like $ 9 and Saturday dinner was $ 13.99. Remember that. You’re paying super cheap prices for a buffet that includes sushi, seafood and such. I like the hibachi style chef in the back. For lunch the only proteins were chicken and beef but dinner had shrimp, steak, chicken and beef. It really was pretty good. Make sure you stick around to wait for your plate, someone stole mine when I walked away and I had to start over again(who does that?!). There’s a lot of hits and misses on the buffet. The sign on the door advertised crab legs but there was no evidence of them at all on the buffet. Bummer. They did have some super subpar lobster claws that weren’t worth the wait in line. The sushi is pretty good, not amazing but again, look at the price. It’s not terrible. I won’t be racing back but I’ll go back again when grandma wants to go.

I’m pretty fair when it comes to rating places especially restaurants, but this is the first and last time I’ll go to this place. The only thing that’s good here is the price and the variety. Everything else pretty much sucked. Some of the food were tasteless and the dessert was disappointing. I ended up leaving the place still hungry because I didn’t want to eat any more of their food. I wouldn’t recommend anyone going here. Quite disappointing :(

My first and last time trying this buffet. NEVERAGAIN! Food was very oily and greasy. Sushi was not fresh at all, our server was horrible. Save your money and time, or just pay little more and go to GINZA instead! !

I am so glad I didn’t listen to the large number of Unilocalers who did not leave positive reviews. We went to the buffet Saturday night with a large group of friends. We like nice places and set our expectations accordingly. Overall, we really liked Flaming Grill. The place was packed so the food was always fresh. The variety was very good and we were pleased with the quality. The value was high for the price. Obviously if you go 30 minutes before closing time, you will not find all food recently cooked. If you go during a busy time, you will be pleasantly surprised.

You get what you pay for. I went there for lunch today around 1. It wasn’t packed. There are variety of food like fried stuff, soup(tasteless), American food(pizza, salads…), Typical Asian main dishes, sushi, desserts and Hibachi grill. I liked Hibachi grill the most. I think it was good. Overall it was a good experience. I would go back for lunch. 7.49/person, not bad at all.

Hmm. I’ve been to buffets all around the Chicagoland area and I’m not proud of it lol. I only go because my parents want to try«new» places. Apparently this place opened a couple months ago and… It’s your typical Asian buffet with fried everything and overly doused with oil. The soup was tasteless and you have to add extra ingredients like siriacha, soy sauce, or pepper to get flavor. In any type of restaurant, sushi is made to be eaten fresh or prepared correctly in front of you and not to be sitting out in open air on a tray on top of ice. It’s a cheaper version of Royal Buffet. That’s about the only good thing they got going for them. If you don’t know what that is, google it lol. And pay a large tip for waiter/waitresses? Why? It’s a buffet not a restaurant. I’ll only come back when… Ha! Who am I kidding? I’m never coming back.

My wife and I decided to finally stop by and check out the new Flaming Grill & buffet. It was about 2:00 when we arrived and it was packed. Unlike most buffets, you don’t pay when you walk in. Instead, the person who gets your drinks and clears your plates brings your check when you’re ready to leave. Buffet Cost = $ 7.49/person Pros: + NOMSG in ANY of their food! + Very good price for the amount of food you have to choose from. + HUGE selection of Asian food(main dishes, sides, soup, fruit, sushi, sushi rolls, desserts, etc.) + The food appeared to be fresh(sushi rollers on the clock, steam from the buffet, workers were regularly stirring the food and changing in new servings) + hibachi grill in the back(we didn’t try it though) + Friendly staff + good desserts(assuming you saved room) + Lots of parking(strip mall parking lot) + looks nice inside, easy to find outside + my wife says the sesame rolls were really good. Cons: — Even though there was a huge selection of food, there wasn’t a lot that we wanted to try. — chicken & Broccoli: the broccoli was very good, but the chicken was mushy. –The seaweed for the sushi rolls seemed sort of old(you know when it’s damp or wet and becomes tough? It was like that). — The food is oily –Teriyaki chicken was good at first, but then seemed to have a weird taste to it. The noodles(lo mein) were also bland in taste and overcooked. –Good miso soup(however, it tastes more like chicken broth). Summary: They say there’s no msg in ANY of their food, and I can contest to this, for I still have not received any msg side effects, but there has to be SOMETHING in it, because we went in there real hungry, didn’t eat much but were full pretty quick, then hungry again about 90 minutes later(stomach-growling hungry). Overall, though, the food was about average. Definitely not a place that prompts us to say, «Yeah, that place is awesome!» However, since it didn’t make me sick, there is a big selection of food, and I can see it being good for groups, I do believe we will eat there again sometime.

The old miser was here a few weeks ago with a discount coupon(of course), and somehow he forgot to write up his opinion of the Flaming Grill. We happened to venture into this buffet restaurant on a Saturday at about 11:15 am, and it was already half filled. I noticed that quite a few of the gluttons were of Asian descent; which I think means that they like this type of food — or they are cheapskate human garbage cans like me. They had a bunch of serving stations spread over the center of the establishment, generally following a type of logic: Related or complimentary foods were generally found in the same station; so, for instance, appetizers were generally found in the same station. There was a hibachi grill area which kind of resembles the concept found in many stir-fry restaurants: You pile a plate high with goodies, and the attendant cooks the grub over the fire. In addition, they have a lot of sushi bar and other Asian foods that some people(not me) like. They also have some standard American fare for those who really don’t particularly care for faux-Chinese food. Lots of dessert items, fruits, and the like are also available. I was there during the lunch hour, and they offer a discounted price of $ 7.99 — but they don’t offer lobster and other more expensive items during the midday hours. Beverages(even tea) cost extra. There is a limited«waitress» service at this buffet. As you are seated, a lady comes to ask you for your beverage order. She serves the beverage and tries to check with you from time to time. Her value-added feature is that she furnishes you with the bill and you pay her rather than a cashier. I gave her a modest tip for her efforts. I don’t know whether the food is really high quality or gourmet. It tasted like standard-issue Americanized Asian food, and it was fresh. I am fairly easily satisfied as long as a restaurant is clean, service is decent, the assortment of viands is readily available, and I don’t get sick from the food. So I will give it a better-than-average rating. Maybe I’ve been to too many Asian restaurants in the last month or two — and after awhile, they all look the same. I’ll endeavor to try some other type of joint for my next cheapskate geezer review.

Not impressed. The buffet selection was just standard as was the Hibachi grill selection. The sushi bar was very good. However, we went for the lobster. Not good at all. What was in the tray was just claws, no tail meat. I have nothing against claw meat as it is good. This was coated in some kind of sauce, which made the claws hard to handle when cracking them open. Also the claws were over cooked as the meat inside was dry. Very disapointed. For an Asian buffet, we will stick with Ichiban Grill which is on Dempster next to Home Depot. The sushi selection is not as extensive, but the lobster is fantastic.

This place is located right next to the Meijer on Golf Road. Came here at around 5:30PM on a Sunday and the place was somewhat full, by 6:30PM, the place was packed. This little tidbit is VERY important. I’ll explain later. The restaurant had a decent number of tables of food. One table was dedicated to sushi, other with deserts/fruit, one was dedicated to all things American(potato wedges, chicken nuggets, pizza, mozzarella sticks, etc). There was the Hibachi Grill section near the back of the buffet where you can cook different types of meat and throw it in a bowl of noodles. The rest was typical americanized asian food. Beef w/broccoli, egg rolls, crab rangoon, some soups and the like. They had some Asian fish that was pretty good and the«unlimited» lobster was cooked Asian-style, which was good. Back to the timing of the crowds. TIP: come early! The place had pretty much every tray in stock but once the place got busy, all bets were off. The most popular items were never in stock like the Asian fish, crab, and most certainly the lobster was never stocked. There were lines of 9 – 12 people waiting on the lobster tray to get refilled every time. By the time the lobster tray would be refilled, it would go through 3-people and then you would have to wait again. it’s these types of places where I pretty much lost all faith in humankind. People are just savages with buffets. Clue to you — its all you can eat, but if there’s nothing left to eat, people get greedy. They don’t care that there are 9 other people behind them wanting some of that sweet-ass lobster; they’re gonna go ahead and pile their plates almost completely full. They don’t care that the asian steamed fish just got restocked, and you’re using the tongs to grab a slice; they’ll come right behind you with their own spoons and try to scoop up the same fish piece. And don’t let me get started if you try to grab a piece of sushi from a particular roll. They’ll hover as close to you as possible so to make sure that you inconvenienced and took away 5-seconds of time where they could be stuffing their pie-hole instead. And if there’s a tray that you both approach at the same time, sucks to be you, because its always their turn first. But anywho, I digress on buffet etiquette. The food was OK, not bland, but decent for buffet food. I mainly stuck with the less-deadly food like broccoli, sushi, asparagus, and a ton of fruit. They had a pretty good selection of fresh fruit — cantaloupe, honeydew, grapes, and pineapple. The rest were canned stuff like peaches and chopped up pineapple. They also had bananas and jello and a freezer dedicated to personal cups of ice cream. Overall, not a bad buffet, nor did it really stood out. For the price of just $ 11 and the potential of unlimited lobster(if you can get one) its really not a bad deal. I have yet to go to Royal Buffet, which also has unlimited lobster, so I can’t compare. BATHROOMREVIEW: The best part of this place is by far the bathrooms. The bathrooms were ultra modern with black granite pretty much covering the whole bathroom. The stalls had ceiling-to-floor walls and the sinks and automatic soup dispensers were pretty cool. Best of all: its all you can pee! Sit or squat? Sit… to stay away from the madhouse of people at the buffet.

Ok so first off it is a great deal for the price. I found that for a buffet the food was fresh! Which in my opinion except for a few many are not. They are new and are very clean which is great! The weekends it is crazy crowded but in the weekday is great! They have sushi and lots of fish options which is you like you truly do get your money’s worth. The fruit that they had was fresh but not ripe enough yet. Their habachi grill is one of the best I do have to say, from lobster, to stir fry, etc. However, the other buffets tables that were out to pick from were limited in what I think when I think of most asia food. And they were not as amazing. So yes I would go back because it is cheaper then most at 10.99 and you can find coupons, however, this is by no means my new favorite spot and I am not sure I would choose to go there over other places!

Been here twice, once for the dinner buffet and once for a lunch box by the pound. So far so good! The service is speedy, our plates are always cleared fast and our waiter was nice. About the food, it’s $ 10.99 per person so you can enjoy some really tasty dishes like fried shrimp, customized stir fry, grilled asparagus, and other yummy foods all in one night. As for the lunch box by the pound, I love picking what I want that’s already made, I’m out within minutes, and depending on what you picked it’s not a bad deal. Overall I like this restaurant and I’ll come back again for lunch, dinner, and heck maybe even lobster night on a Saturday!

Honestly was looking forward to this place when they opened… but was unimpressed with the selection of regular Asian food. The food we did have, that we recognized, was fairly bland… the thing was that there were many foods we didn’t recognize and there was no real explanation as to what it was. My son had something that resembled a donut with sesame seeds, when he bit into it he said it had really ‘yucky’ chocolate in it… I asked the server what it was and it took her a bit to understand that I wanted to know what was inside it, and it turned out it was bean paste… would have been great to know that’s what it was when we were walking around looking at food. Admittedly, we did not check out the hibachi grill area, so I cannot say it’s all bad… but I don’t know that we are going to go back to check it out. I will say, that I don’t think you really get your money’s worth here… especially since there’s an additional charge for little ice cream dessert cups…

Not feeling very good today after eating the buffet for dinner last night. Mostly everything here is what you would find at any other Chinese buffet and nothing is any better here than what you would find anywhere else. It’s funny reading the reviews that mention the rolls all being some variation of a california roll because that’s exactly what I was thinking last night. Avocado, imitation Krab, cucumber is in everything and the only difference seemed to be the sauces. The nicest thing I can say is that the staff was friendly, helpful and cleared our tables quickly. I would suggest skipping the buffet and heading over to Euro Plate if you’re looking for a good place to eat around this area for $ 11-$ 12.

Typical Chinese run buffet. Went on a Monday night for 10.99 per person. I believe they were previously located near woodfield but then moved here. Pros: seaweed salad Service was nice though not super quick. The soups are good and usual fare. The cooked fish and the fish used in the sushi aren’t bad! Cons: not much variety in anything, though the hibachi station seemed good. The sushi section is basically ALL California rolls though presented in different manners. There were probably only three types that weren’t. They put out the salmon nigiri after we finished eating… This place is more of a one time thing. Don’t expect too much, but it’s not terrible either.

Pretty cut and dry… like most buffets I always recommend finding the 1 thing thats decent and stick with it. Crawfish and fried fish werent bad. Oysters not good, sushi not labled and also not great. We will prob be back to sample more… we came near closing so it may be a false representation. 11 bucks or so per person isnt a bad deal. Ice cream tub has snickers, dove bar and twix painted on the outside but dont get excited… its just a cooler they prob got from a gas station since it only had random sherbert cups inside. Like most buffets… not great not terrible
