I had been a client of PEM Heating and Cooling for 30 years or so — it was supposedly Patrick and Edward but I never ever met Edward. I loved Patrick. Flash forward to last year. Patrick retired and Edward re-​appeared and took over the biz, now called American Pride. I was nervous b/​c Patrick was My Furnace Guy. But Edward has NOT disappointed. From routine maintenance to two «emergency» (i.e. no heat, furnace on the blink) calls this winter, he was great. My house was really cold with no heat and he showed up within a couple of hours. I am happy that he is My New Heating/​AC Guy

A friend recommended this company and told me to call and ask for Ed. My AC had died during the recent heat wave. Ed said he could come the following morning and he showed up on time, and I watched him repair my furnace. He was there two hours and charged a reasonable fee, and it has worked well ever since. I recommend him highly. I don’t know his last name but my realtor said several of his clients used him and passed his name on.

After contacting another HVAC repair shop I discovered that Ed had initially replaced my motor with one that was too large which caused my squirrel cage to be damaged. He didn’t follow the proper replacement model number and probably just wanted to use one of the motors that was in his truck. Now it makes sense that he didn’t want to call me back. This business is incredibly unethical. DO NOT USE THEM!
