The few times I’ve gone I have appreciated having a cool bar in Nicholasville, even though I don’t drink. I especially love the live music! The venue looks lovely and the back yard is cool. Every time I have went service has been incredibly slow though(even with very few people in the bar). Once when I went the bar tender was clearly drunk(yelling«I’m drunk!»). While that was hilarious, maybe that was why he was so slow…

So happy a place like this is in the town of Nicholasville! 24 craft beers on tap, a full bar with tons of different liquor, darts, beer pong, corn hole, and even giant Jenga. Not like you need all those games to have fun there. In the summer hang out in the HUGE backyard and listen to live music or stay inside and socialize with the great staff and wonderful owners. This really is a great place and even worth the drive to Nicholasville if you live in Lexington.

My husband and I have gone here a few times with different friends. We were excited to have a nicer bar so close to where we live. And it is nice – it’s an old renovated home with plenty of rooms to sit, nice décor, and a very big back patio and yard space. But I’m here to talk about their service. The other times we’ve been here, we did notice the service was slow. We stood at the bar for a while before they even looked up to take our order. It has never really been packed whenever we’ve gone, so naturally we got annoyed. But last night we took some friends who had never gone. We entered, and hardly anyone was there at the bar. So why did we get passed over not once, twice, or three times… but six whole times? We were standing right up against the bar, but was repeatedly skipped. The bartender would look me and my friend in the eye, then ask the men behind us in line what they wanted. After three skips, we got so fed up, we told our husbands what we wanted, and had to walk away. We thought maybe they only took orders from men. When our husbands finally returned, they told us that they, too, were skipped two times. Their cocktails aren’t even worth the wait! While they have a decent beer selection(for Nicholasville), their cocktails are amateur. Imagine a mixed drink a friend would make you at a house party back in college. I used to be a server, and I have quite a few friends that were bartenders. So I try to always be generous when tipping. But if you treat customers like their non-existent or like dirt, don’t be surprised if you don’t get nicely compensated for your lack of service. Doubt we will go back. I guess we’ll stick to establishments in Lexington. It’ll be worth the drive.
