Cute little place to have a sweet treat while visiting Niagara Falls! The baby size cone was more than enough for my sweet tooth. There are a ton of choices, so make sure everyone in your party has decided what they want before starting to order, or the people waiting behind you will not be very happy.

YUM! Very tasty. Side note– the bottled water here was less expensive than the vendors on the streets

Well it’s been two years since I last visited Twist –O-the Mist and not much has changed. The prices are about 25 cents more per cone; the building is still in need of a few repairs; but the customer service is still swift and polite, and the soft serve ice cream is still eye popping in size and still tastes fresh and creamy. If you’re walking down Niagara street in the falls, get yourself a Twist-O-the Mist.

This place was just awesome! We were on a random visit over this place, while coming back after having lunch from a place called Punjabi Hut(Where the food really sucked!). I ordered a Large ice cream from ‘death by chocolate’ and the girl who worked there warned us about it’s size. But I wanted a larger one, and I ordered a Medium ice cream with the cup(not the cone). However, my friend ordered the same with the cone. When she delivered the ice cream to my friend; it was too funny!!! So many scoops were stacked on the the cone; and it was HUGE!!! Fortunately, I ordered the cup, not the cone; and I was somewhat comfortable to taste the BEST ice cream ever, we had!!! The quality of the ice-cream was un-match-able indeed; and I didn’t feel that it was too much for any reason. So did my friend, even if he struggled to hold the ice cream all the times. However, we finished the entire ice cream; because it was very very tasty! If you ever, had a chance to experience the heaven on earth(the boat ride in front of the horse-show falls); you never ever forget to visit this place and taste the Ice-cream of the divines!!!

An ice cream shack, shaped like a giant cone, right across from the Rainbow Bridge… things like this usually only exist in dreams. It’s super cute and obviously touristy, but ice cream on any hot afternoon is a welcome treat in my book. We stayed in Niagara Falls on the Canada side, but we booked a Maid of the Mist boat tour, which boards from the U.S. side. Aside from the Maid, there isn’t much to do on the U.S. side. Since we arrived during peak hours, we paid a whopping $ 30 for parking. So, we a felt a little obligated to wander around for at least a block of two before heading back to Canada. I heard about Twist O the Mist via Sarah S.‘s review, bookmarked it, but didn’t obligate myself to visit. When I spotted it on the corner, an adorable little shack shaped like an ice cream cone, I had to check it out! There are so many flavors to choose from, if I had to estimate I’d guess at least 30. I usually gravitate toward anything toffee for a sweet and salty balance, but the Cherry Pie ice cream(in a waffle cone, of course) was my choice. The ice cream was fantastic, and the cone was nice and crunchy. And that«small» ice cream cone is definitely not at all small. If you come with kids, be prepared for some sticky hands! The employees are really nice and didn’t seem to mind when I hesitated to pick up our order when I was busy taking a picture of my husband riding the horsey out front. By the way, it’s cash only at Twist O the Mist.

Don’t go here at any cost! The ice cream is too sweet, the waffle cones are soggy and NOT fresh(as advertised) AND the employees are RUDE. Wouldn’t go back for more than a photograph with the cone shaped structure and the ice cream shaped garden lights.

This place is dirty and not fit for anyone to eat at. I can’t believe the health department hasn’t shut it down. Beware of what you don’t see. If you look closely you will see how unkept and run down the outside of this establishment is being taken care of. The inside of the cone is worse. Just look inside the windows and see for yourself Dirty, filthy, flies, rodents and bacteria love it here!!! I live here in Niagara Falls. Take this advice and keep on walking past this place.

Little pricey, but so isn’t everything else around Niagara Falls. Also, they only accept cash, just FYI. Very good though :) would love it again.

Ice cream was expensive $ 7 for a kiddy cone and medium cone. The location could not get any better though. Just a stones throw away from the mighty Niagara Falls. Bring your passport, walk to the middle of the Rainbow Bridge and gaze out. Simply beautiful.

If this was homemade ice cream it would get five stars, but overall it’s such a cute place, tons of ice cream flavor options, carrot cake is delicious & white chocolate with berries, huge portions and relatively cheap for a tourist area! I will be back!

I knew I wanted to try Twist O’The Mist before I went to Niagara ice cream shop shaped like a giant ice cream cone?! So cute and adorable and full of cold goodness — I’m in! They had SO many choices it was hard to choose. I posted a picture of their menu… seriously…there were like a million flavors & combinations. They were out of a lot of these flavors, we found though, as we started to place our orders. My friend wanted oreo which they were out of. The girl working was nice enough to put oreos over vanilla instead and then put the cone in a bowl so all the oreos didn’t fall(see pic), good idea! I went with chocolate peanut butter and it was delicious! Some seriously good ice cream and generous portions. I wish there was a shop like this near me. We sat to eat our ice cream at one of the many outdoor seats & enjoyed the relaxation. Even the light posts had little ice creams on top, awwww! This cute little shop sells the t-shirts the workers wear for $ 10. It’s literally right over the Rainbow Bridge on the New York side of Niagara Falls.

Holy COW. Just what I needed at Niagara Falls. WIth over 100 flavors of ice cream, there was nothing better on that hot day than to sit down, watch the tourists, and enjoy some ice cream. Flavor? Glad you asked — Rocky mountain blackberry cheesecake. As one who enjoys her icecream, I must say, this was one of the best. I’m not sure where they source from, but all I can say is TASTY. If I’m ever in the neighborhood again, I’m going to be sure to visit this place. Its such a great name and ideal location.

Lots of great flavors, and right in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls. Great choc & vanilla soft serve, funny name too. Twist O the Mist, seriously, who thought of that. It is a useful drop off point for the rainbow bridge pedestrian crossing though, and other general activities. prices were reasonable for a tourist hotspot. in the back it had lots of room to rest & relax, sit on bench or whatever you want to do. accepts credit cards

When ever you are visiting the Falls, you need to visit Twist O’ The Mist also. Twist O’ The Mist is within easy walking to the brink of the falls. They sell Perry’s Ice Cream, Perry’s sells and distributes only to Upstate New York, Western Pennsylvania, and New England. The best one is Piece of Cake, IMHO. You can not miss this place as you near the Falls, it is a big 28 feet high cone 20 feet in diameter, with vanilla ice cream with a cherry on the top. They have more than 50 flavors of hard and soft ice cream. I believe out of the 4 days we were here we went 5 times.

Lots of choices; some unique flavors. One scoop is very generously sized.
