So for some reason I decided I should get my first Brazilian wax. It was something that I have always wanted to do, but for obvious reasons I had a plethora of reasons to put it off. After much searching I found Lindsey’s website and decided to give it a go after reading about sugaring and decided I should try that instead. Appointment was easy to make, the building was not to hard to find and Lindsey was waiting right there for me so I did not have to do the awkward stand around thing. Now, I will not lie it did not feel good. At all. But Lindsey was awesome and funny; which convinced me I should go back for a second time. Second time=muuuuuch better. I cannot imagine going anywhere else, Lindsey is awesome and the prices are way more than reasonable.

I usually wax, and was interested in trying sugar. The experience here was awesome. I was put off at first by the building, but once you go inside, it’s great. She was quick, professional, informative, and made me feel comfortable. The sugaring was so much less painful than waxing, and the usual«afterburn» from a wax was nonexistent. The sugared area is hair-free and pain-free. One of the best parts is the price. Some places have charged me up to $ 75 for a poorly executed wax before, but she charges a third of that, does an awesome job, and throws in some free loofah soap! I highly recommend this business. Probably the first time I have walked out of a Brazilian with a smile on my face.

Sugaring is an ancient method of hair removal that all the females in my family utilize– except me! I have tried it so many times on my own, only to get sticky icky, especially in places you don’t want to be. You have to be quite talented to grasp this technique. I’ve had someone else sugar my entire body years ago, and it was quite the experience. Similar to waxing, as it pulls the hair from the root, yet completely natural, being made with staple items found in your kitchen. Your skin remains soft for weeks after and over time the hair becomes less coarse. As the years went on, I stuck to regular waxing until I decided to see if sugaring had become any more popular. Indeed, it was popular and upon searching for someone that does it, I found Precious Peaches. What’s even better, a promotion on Groupon was being run and so I purchased a voucher, thinking I’m not losing much if the experience sucks since I didn’t pay full price. Well, the experience was FAR from sucky! I made an appointment, which was relatively easy to make. I received a confirmation text the day before(which is nice). The location is easy to find, it is in a building with a few other businesses. Upon entering, you immediately feel relaxed when meeting Lindsey(uhhh this is what you want to feel when someone is seeing your private area). She is professional, knowledgeable, and a total sweetheart! She walked me through the sugaring process and let me know when she was switching between two different sugar pastes because apparently one hurts more than the other. Honestly, I didn’t feel much of a difference between the two, because she is that dang good! Her touch is gentle, and when she said she was done, I couldn’t believe it, it was quick although she did it in small patches and really not painful at all. YOUROCK, LINDSEY! I never want to wax anything again, the smoothness you get after sugaring is unheard of. The last time my skin was ever this soft was probably as a newborn. Lindsey is awesome, and I really cannot say enough good things about her. I will be doing my best to wait out my growth in between for when I come back to Buffalo just to get sugared by her, it’s that great! Prices are fair and affordable especially if you are used paying out for waxing. I have to add that the room is clean, and that she changes her glove each time she reaches into the jar to grab more. On your way out, you are given what seems to be a cool soap bar(complimentary) that helps exfoliate the skin and prevents/helps with ingrown hairs. If you are a waxer and want to try a new method, please try sugaring, and then thank me! You will be the smoothest around. :)
