I went to this restaurant last week and tried dinner buffet. I should say it was terribly mediocre. Everything was cold, rotis hard and chicken out of taste. They have a good ambience and enough space. A good cook there will make them fortune. A LA carte was available but was taking time. Over all 2 stars.

Four stars because it was surprisingly good. The place doesn’t look promising, but I got one of those food senses that made me get a buffet plate to go. We loaded up on papadum, raita, tikka, tandoori, aloo palak, and mango pudding… don’t forget the hello dal… It was missing saag… For a $ 6.95 a lb to go kind of buffet… the value, quality, and favors are above my expectations.

There was no way i could give my reviews with out giving a star, thats why one star and that too not for food as we did not eat there due to renovation. This one star was given for false information shared by the owner of Maharaja. When we went to Maharaja restaurant(alll becoz we heard good reviews from our friends in recent visit), Owner said to go to Kohinoor restaurant right across street, we asked multiple times whether it is good or not, without any hesitation he said confidently with smily face to visit that place with statment like ‘Apna Hi hai’(its ours only) But Kohinoor buffet was real bad experience except roti which is one of the best among all varieties food. We felt cheated. What ever deal u have with that resaturant why would u cheat ppl? Pretty bad Maharaja(i wish i could tag them ;))

Pathetic, tasteless, and stale food. It’s a shame that such low quality food is served in one of the biggest tourist destinations of the world! Niagara Falls tourism should take note of such places and shut them down.

This was a small place near the hotel I stayed at. It was within walking distances; however, since it was way too cold and windy to do that, then driving was what my coworker and I did. There was a tiny parking lot next to the restaurant which could hold maybe four cars. We came one hour before they closed so there was nobody there. There were a bunch of tables and this place could be someone’s house that was converted into a restaurant. It was clean so that was good. The buffet was $ 12.96 + tax per adult which was pricey considering what we got. I don’t think there was anything else but the buffet left. The rice was almost all done and the amount of food left was barely anything. That being said, the food I did try was not bad. I’m not an expert on Indian food but it did taste similar to other places I’ve been to in the past. The chicken was pretty spicy and got to a point where drinking water didn’t make a difference to soothe my mouth. My lips were burning and were as red as the red in the Unilocal logo. Overall, for the price we paid, I didn’t think it was worth it. I think if there was more food to choose from and if the food was so spicy then I would think differently.

Food was not really the quality which we expected when we stepped into this restaurant on a cold rainy afternoon. The lunch buffet was ridiculously expensive and not worth the price tag it carried. We tried Zaika, kohinoor and Maharaja and maharaja probably takes the bottom most position. If you really want to savor fresh, authentic and delightfully tasty Indian food, head straight for Zaika. You won’t regret. Kohinoor is average, and is overpriced.

I’ll be the first to admit that Buffalo lacks good Indian restaurants. When you want Indian food, you go to Niagara Falls or Toronto. NF is the closest you can get for some good eats. I’ve been here a few times, and I’ve enjoyed it every time. I’ve gotten food to go and I’ve eaten the buffet. The buffet was tasty, good curries, not too spicy but with enough kick and flavor so you can enjoy your food. Chapatis were brought to the table for the buffet(sadly, no naan included). Chicken was very tender and my group loved it. The few things I didn’t like: disposable plates, cups and utensils. Come on!!! Get some dishware and wash them! Jeez. A few things felt a bit watered down(mattar paneer) but overall the food was really good. I would take my parents here for sure! They’re the ultimate critics!

Found this place to be great in terms of food. The buffet is 14 $ per head and totally worth it. It’s a small place managed by Punju’s. The décor is simple, nothing fancy. The buffet had vegetarian and non-vegetarian combinations. Vegetarian entrée comprised of mixed pakoda’s. It was followed by main course that included Zucchini, Egg-curry, Baingan-Aloo, Mutter-paneer. If your a Non-vegetarian then there were 2 chicken masala gravy options. The vegetable pulav was quite good. The food was hot and hot roti’s being served at the same time was the highlight of the place. All is well that end’s well, there was kheer to end your meal sufficiently satisfied. A must for an Indian foodie!

We had dinner at this restaurant one evening. Since it was the off season they only served buffet and did not have any a la carte items. The restaurant itself is a coverted first floor of a big 3 storey house. It was clean but the ambiance, decorations and general conditions of furniture left more to be desired. While we were eating they were busy moving boxes through the restaurant which was distracting and unprofessional. That said, the food was good and our waitress /hostess /cashier brought us hot rotis as needed. I only ate at this place because my mom and dad wanted to try some Indian food and this restaurant was at the top of the Unilocal reviews for Indian food.

There are many Indian restaurants around this area, however I liked this place. This restaurant was suggested by a friend. The place is owned by a couple and the place is really well maintained. We were 7 friends who dropped in for lunch here. They had a buffet and the charge was 14 $ odd per head. Had a combination of vegetarian and non vegetarian food. Hot hot rotis/breads were served to the table. The food was delicious. The interiors are not so fancy. There are too many tables which make it difficult to move in n out. Otherwise I liked this place.

Four of us had the buffet and it was decent. The gravy on the chicken curry was fabulous and I fell in love with the curried eggs. The raita left a lot to be desired, but other than that, I think it was fairly standard Indian fare. I don’t love this place, nor do I hate it.

After a later than expected arrival to Niagara Falls, boyfriend and I set out for food and found that this place was one of the only places open(it was 9:30 or so, I believe), and luckily we were both in the mood for Indian food. We did not have the buffet. I think that it was all cleaned up by the time we got there. Between the two of us, we shared an order of paratha, chicken tikka masala, and rice. The paratha was pretty good. The tikka masala was also good, but could have been more flavorful. There were plenty of chicken pieces to be had, and we had just enough for the two of us. We also had a sweet lassi, which was pretty good. It was my first time sampling the drink, b but boyfriend said he could make it better. And then we had some kheer for dessert. It wasn’t very sweet and was topped off with ground ginger, which I wasn’t too fond of. Our server was very nice and the bill plus tip was a bit over $ 30.

We came for dinner, not buffet. It was a Saturday night, off season, but with at least one convention nearby(mine!). They were definitely not prepared for the volume of people that arrived. Mind ye, this volume really was only about 4 – 6 tables. The service was VERY slow. They were quick to take our order and bring us water, the appetizer came about 15 minutes later and the food probably a half hour after that. A friend of ours ordered takeout and was standing there waiting at least a half hour to 45 minutes before it was done. That said, when the food came it was very good. We had the fish curry, shahi paneer, and aloo gobi for main courses, with vegetable pakora appetizer and chapati & paratha to go with the meal. The pakora were pretty standard but tasty. Same with the breads. We actually couldn’t tell the difference between the chapati and the paratha. They didn’t have naan, which to me was slightly disappointing but not a huge deal. We didn’t order rice. The entrees do not come with rice at all, which is very unusual for indian restaurants where I have eaten in the past, I do not know if it is the standard for this area. However, all of the entrees were quite tasty and we had no complaints over the food once it actually arrived. My advice is, order takeout by calling ahead and then come about 45 minutes later to pick it up! I’ll be here in town for a week so maybe I will try to try their buffet, since that should be faster.
One of the worst place to eat. I was very disappointed with the quality of food had to leave food in the plate and search for a different place
