Warning BYOB… We visited this spot, were actually looking for another ice cream place. It has nice inside and had outside seating and the ice cream was good. Clerk was pleasant and nice. I ordered a 7.00 sundae described as having a banana that was of all things missing a banana. When I picked it up it was covered with whipped crème so who would have known? When I approached the clerk after finding no banana he remarked, sorry we have no bananas. Well if they are going to be a BYOB(bring your own banana) kind of place they should let you know when ordering. Ok place to visit but I would check first to make sure all the stuff is in your orders.

I come in for the Monkey Love ice cream(I can’t turn down banana, peanut butter, and chocolate) whenever I’m eating at Zoe’s. It doesn’t let me down! Coffee is okay. I have to try some of their other confections. The owner has always been nice to me! Ample seating and cutely decorated. I do feel like it is slightly overpriced though.

Before my most current experience in store, I had their chocolate covered pretzels. They come with a Variety of toppings(m&ms and sprinkles etc). They’re recommended but pretty standard in terms of chocolate covered pretzels. As for the ice cream, flavors vary and they do have frozen yogurt and low fat ice cream. Ice cream flavors Vary too. I had the Newtown tracks. It had brownie in it. Yummy… Also, they have different sundaes. I had the«dirt» sundae. Instead of pudding, Sweet Pea uses ice cream!!! We will be back for sure!

The most mediocre overpriced ice cream I’ve ever had. It’s not even homemade — just home mixed.

Full disclosure: I visited the ice cream truck while it was parked at Filter Park for their Spring Fair. The ice cream was delicious! I had the blueberry crumble. It had large chunks of blueberry and crumble.

Delicious!!! I adore Nonnie’s Cookie Dough! The owner is great to chat with and she lets me bring my book in to work on or edit other ‘s work. I seriously crave this ice cream! Beautiful, fun, «candy shop» ambiance. Generous portions too.

This place is not good. The ice-cream is only made from a mix not exactly homemade. Also very unsanitary I’ve seen the workers pick a spoon up off the floor and try to serve it to a customer. Gross! The owner is not very nice either, I’ve spoken to her once and she was so rude to me, a customer !!! Never going here again, so many better options close by!

This is my favorite ice cream store in Newtown! Love the flavors they custom make and also the delectable handdipped chocolate candy treats like chocolate oreos, chocolate dipped pretzels, graham crackers, and frozen hot chocolate too. Its a big hit to come here to pick up handmade chocolate candy/treats for gifts for teachers, or work colleagues. They always have the candies decorated with holiday colors so its perfect to pick some up for Valentines, Christmas, Halloween, etc…

This is loved by my family more than zebra striped whale and goodnoe’s, both of which are very good. The store is great with high ceilings and a wonderful street side patio.

Newtown has an embarrassment of creamy riches in the many home made ice cream joints in and near town. There is the new Goodnoe’s on Sycamore Street, Zebra Striped Whale on State Street in the Borough, Owowcow up Rt. 413 in Wrightstown, and Sweet Pea Creams in the new Goodnoe’s Corner(which stands on the holy ground of the original ice cream emporium of the same family name). To my taste buds, Sweet Pea is decent, but the weakest entrant in the icecreamcapades. I was there tonight with a group of kids from a local school after a 6th grade theater performance(that’s another review). I was lucky to have a Unilocal deal for one free topping as a bonus. Even with crushed peanut butter cups gracing a scoop of Burgundy Cherry Vanilla(or was it Bourgeoisie Cherry?) and Vanilla Pretzel Logic, the comparison of the local competition had me feeling a bit underwhelmed. It is not that it was bad or unsavory. It was only that it could not block out the memory of the others. If a dish of glacé is to achieve greatness it has to at least still the taste recordings of its near peers. This Sweet Pea Creams could not do for me. It was somehow thinly sweeter and less engaging to the senses. Creamy, yes. Demanding complete attention, no. We all have our favorites, and this place may be one of yours. I totally understand. But for me, I salivate most in anticipation of Goodnoes, followed by Owowcow, ZSW, and then Sweet Pea. And, drooling in advance of a taste experience is what great ice cream is all about.

Cupcake flavor? Ugh! Been here a few times and they don’t seem to have flavors that’d appeal to an adult, just sickeningly sweet flavors for bratty kids.

Very good alternative to Rita’s Water Ice or the Zebra Striped Whale. Good ice cream and a variety of other treats. The interior is well furnished and provides plenty of space to sit.

Sweet Pea is not so sweet. First, the ice cream isn’t home made. It’s home mixed. They order industrially made ice cream and then just mix in toppings. I can get that anywhere. No thanks Also, I’ve seen the owner bully her employees with customers waiting in line. She, very aggressively, was yelling at a girl for making the scoops too big. Well, with their prices, they better be big scoops! And be nice to your workers! They are young girls and it’s ice cream after all! With all the other ice cream places in Newtown, I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Sweet Pea is part of the new assortment of businesses that replaced Goodnoe’s. To be honest, Goodnoe’s was never that good, and everything that has popped up provides me with much more. Anyway, Sweet Pea is an ice cream store. You walk in, and a lot of things hit you. It has very high vaulted ceilings, lots of natural light. Aside from the standard glass-windowed sunken chiller with the tubs of ice cream, there are tables full of random confections and candies, all displayed with their price in fancy fonts. The whole store is very decorative, without being too pretentious. The ice cream itself is good, definitely warranting a four/five. Always fun to visit here and I recommend it.
