Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa

This was my first time getting a massage and it was incredible! I scheduled a couples massage for my boyfriend and I as a Christmas gift. The location was convenient and easy to find, the waiting room and massage rooms were clean and cozy, and everyone we encountered was extremely friendly. Michelle was my massage therapist and was fantastic! Being my first massage, Michelle took the time to explain the process and directed me during the massage but wasn’t overly talkative– just a few quick directions. The price was reasonable. I’d definitely come back and recommend Hand & Stone to friends and family!

Absolutely love this place. Everyone is so nice and courteous! The place is spotlessly clean. The atmosphere is comfortable and calming. I go to my #1 MT (Cheryl)! I highly recommend H&S Newtown!

Everyone here is professional and friendly. Cheryl does my messages and she is wonderful! I work from home, sit all day and have issues. I have been coming to Cheryl for several months and she has provided great relief.

Great place great massage. We booked a time slot for 3 girls. Last minute we wanted to have another one come so I called to see if they had a spot at the same time (which would be 2pm on a sat) the receptionist said they didn’t but had four slots available an hour earlier at 1. I was quite surprised that they would have 4 slots available in prime time the day before on a weekend but once I saw it I realized it’s be uses they have tons of rooms… Like their hallways look like a labyrinth.
Driving here and finding the place was a bit of a hassle. It’s in a shopping plaza right in the corner under the big clock tower so really difficult to find the signs from the road circling the lot. We only found it because one friend arrived earlier and told us where it was. We circled the parking lot for a good 10 minutes trying to find a spot. Tons of cars, pulling in and out trying to get around each other, the lot is huge and seriously no parking.
Once we arrived the process was quite smooth. They had all if us in the system awaiting our arrival. I was embarrassed that we were late as we were asked to come 10 minutes early (typical) and we walked in at 2 on the dot. We completed the intake forms and awaited our masseuses. We were each greeted one by one, taken to the room and standard process from there.
I’ve been to places where you have a changing room and go to the room in a robe, this is one of throes places where you change in the room, no big deal.
A few quirks: one of my friends had a room adjacent to the walk in area and commented that she heard all of the conversations from the waiting area which isn’t optimal and obviously dampers the experience so I would suggest the facility to mediate this. Also, I remember hearing music at the beginning of the massage and at some point it must have cut out (although I was in too deep of a trance to notice) but I did hear it come back on which is what brought my attention to it.
Overall the massage was great. They have a new customer special for $ 49.95 for a massage and a similar member deal where you pay that amount a month and get a monthly massage or facial. Strongly considering it.

problems with the front desk. the male receptionist took my name incorrectly and said he booked me on a particular day, but then when i showed up – no appt. had to come back. the receptionist refused to believe that he’d booked me an appt until i showed him the appt card he’d given me. the manager was very unfriendly and annoyed, like she didn’t have time to deal with me. overall the staff made my experience a really unpleasant one… and this is supposed to be a spa!
