I planned to go to the Sears Hardware in Newton, NJ to buy a roto-​tiller, but since the Home Depot was right next to it, I decided to go there to comparison shop.
I did not see any, so I started to walk out., On my way out, a young female employee merely said, «Have a nice day». Normally, people of her age are texting with their friends and not paying attention to what they SHOULD be doing.
Since she made that effort, I went up to her to mention why I was there and she used her iPhone to check the inventory for tillers. Long story short, I ended up getting a 43cc tiller for the SAME PRICE I would have paid at Sears for a 25cc model. I was so damned happy about this that I also bought a new weed-​whacker for another $ 100.
Her attention to Customer Service, or at least showing respect to customers, resulted in the store making a $ 325 sale they otherwise wouldn’t have.
I hope Home Depot treats her the way she deserves to be treated going forward!
