The Good Hound

What at amazing organization! The dogs are always happy (and tired afterwards). The ability of the small and big dog teams to have off leash walks continues to amaze me, and the employees are friendly as well.
Any dog would be lucky to have an owner who signs then up for these walks.

Haley and her crew are the best! Our dogs, a papillon and a boxer-​pitbull mix, are with Haley twice each week. When she arrives to pick them up, they greet her with tails wagging tongues out. Over the past few months, Haley has worked diligently with our previously troublesome pitbull, and now she is a well-​trained dog. On occasion, Haley and Courtney have cared for our animals (2 dogs and 2 cats) in our home and have done a superb job. They are trustworthy, responsible, kind, and caring. Our dogs always come back exhausted and happy! We have been using The Good Hound for almost three years, and we cannot imagine life without Haley and her talented team. I highly recommend The Good Hound to anyone seeking dog sitting or training in or around the Newton area! Thank you, Haley!

We could not be happier with The Good Hound! Having come from a previous dog walking company that was pretty awful, we were very nervous about who we would trust with our pup. Haley and her team have been so wonderful with him. Not only are they super friendly and enthusiastic, but they are awesome with communication, which we really appreciate. She responds to emails promptly, works with our ever-​changing summer schedules easily, and will always call us if there is ever an issue with our pup. Most importantly, our dog loves Haley and her team and is so excited when they show up and totally exhausted when he comes home. I would recommend Haley and her team to any dog owner without hesitation!

My dog used to submit to even my bird! Haley and Courtney have taught him to find his voice and exert himself. He will never be pack leader, and that’s fine, but where he once was so submissive it was actually a handicap as he could be hurt by other dogs, he now has the confidence to exert himself and «just say no!» Haley taught him that. They really take the time to work on training and obedience. I’ve seen other dog walkers at the reservoir that just don’t have control over the dogs they’re overseeing. That’s scary. It’s not the case for Haley and her crew. They’re wonderful and my dog is so happy on Mondays and Thursdays!

I’m just into my first week with the Good Hound, but it’s been great so far. I just started working more hours and my dog is use to me being around with me and in and out of the house all day. The Good Hound comes and takes him with other dogs for an off leash walk with other dogs. This is my dogs favorite thing to do, so I can go to work knowing he is having a good day. They also leave a note with a little recap of the walk, which is really nice to see.
