Sonic Suds

I highly recommend this laundromat! It is very clean and has updated machines. The best part about this place is Joanne. She is the best employee I have dealt with. She always has a smile on her face and makes you feel welcome. She goes above and beyond to get your laundry done when you need it done. Clothes are always nicely folded and hung up just like you would get from a dry cleaner. She treats her customers like family. She even brings little snacks in for them. I would not go anywhere else. I work my schedule around Joanne’s schedule. Way to go Joanne!!!

Small woman at desk, very nasty, was trying to find out prices, and she was arguing with someone about there bill. I was just dropping off clothes walked out. My cousin told me to use this place. Hopefully she got it straight. Poor guy, thought she was going to hop over counter on him, my girlfriend laughed all nightNot sure if this was the owner. The place looked clean but walked out before she jumped on me. Good Luck Going to this place .
Very clean but look out for that red headed woman I wanted my work shirts dry cleaned .Not sure they do that. I did find a place near. Hope that guy is ok!

This was my first time to Sonic Suds and, for that matter, the first time I have been to Newton and the great state of New Jersey. Being from Texas I only brought one pair of pants because the weather in New Jersey was «unusually mild» for early November. As fate would have it I spilled coffee all over my pants and I needed them for later that day. I found Sonic Suds close by. It was clean and bright with ample parking out back. I spent the afternoon washing those pants (of course I was wearing shorts!) and conversing with the nice lady who showed me how to use the machines. She also gave me some great tips on places to visit while I was in town. Prices were fair, the machines were great and my experience was A+. Good job representing Newton and New Jersey!

Definitely the best laundromat in the Newton area. There are plenty of machines which appear to be brand new and gets your clothes clean very well. The dryers are also very efficient and gets my clothes dry in no time. Staff are friendly and attentive and they sell awesome laundry bags in a variety of different colors.
The only drawback is that there does not seem to be enough table tops to be able to fold clothes. I’ve only been there late at night just before they close so I haven’t encountered an issue but I can see it being a hassle during peak/​busy hours. Hopefully this gets rectified soon.

Great laundromat with a tremendous amount of space and a wonderful staff. The best laundromat around without a doubt. Always spotless and has great wash & fold service.
