Pplace is losing it’s touch. Soups that are suppose to have meat —, don’t have any in it I get the chicken pot pie all the time and lately there’s not even any chicken in it. Not to mention the last two times there was long brown hair in my soup. This place was my favorite but I don’t know what’s happening with the cooks. But they need to get it back on track. place isn’t what it use to be. I heard the other location was better.

I had the Italian Beef Stew. It tasted like Campbell’s Soup(i.e. bad soup)…my stomach doesn’t feel too good after eating it. The music was not fitting at all. The bathroom was dirty. While the window area was nicely decorated, I don’t plan on coming back again.

The aroma of this place is just amazing! Lot of tasty options to choose from and the fact that I can taste some of them before I order one makes it more difficult to choose coz they are all so amazing! I wish there were more branches of soup factory in the city!

Always a good soup on the menu here. Extremely fresh and knowledgeable staff if you have ingredient concerns. Fave soups are: Butternut squash and corn chowder — tastes way better than it sounds! Chicken lemon orzo Greek — MELTINYOURMOUTH flavor! Chicken Noodle Lentil Tortilla The salads are good too — homemade dressings are all to die for. I had a different experience w/the sandwiches though. They did not seem fresh. Brown avocado, gizzard meat, and wilted lettuce. I would try them once more but today’s lunch was a disappointment :(

New England Soup Factory? More like New England Soup Kitchen… We went here to grab a quick bite around 7pm because I was going to have to pull an all nighter. The menu looks good, but they were literally out of everything except for ONE sandwich. They won’t make you anything, they only have whats pre-prepared. I recommend you don’t go here late in the day or else you won’t have any options. Ridiculous.

I’m a sucker for homemade soups, and this place has got it all! I visit Boston often and I can’t leave without taking a pint or more back. Must try: — chicken vegetable(aka chicken noodle soup. Who doesn’t love this comfort soup that brings back nostalgic memories?) — lobster bisque — corn chowder *all their soups come with bread, pick between plain or multigrain And if you ever want to sample their soups first, their staff is more than welcome to help! Love this location!

The Newton location is much larger than the Brookline Village location, but the quality of the food is about the same in my opinion. I really enjoy their soups; they’re filling and very flavorful, but aren’t too heavy compared to other soups(Note: you can ask to sample their soups!). Ordered the lobster soup and salad combo for $ 10: –Lobster Newburg w/multi-grain roll: I loved how flavorful it was and I could really taste the lobster! It was not as creamy as I expected it to be compared to lobster-based soups I’ve had — the texture was more chunky than smooth, but the taste was spot on! –Garden Patch Salad w/roasted red pepper vinaigrette: packed full of all sorts of fresh salad goodness(pretty much everything you’d think of in a traditional salad is in there)! The roasted red pepper vinaigrette was a solid choice; it was very refreshing with the salad because it was so light. Also, I think the salads balance the soups the best since you don’t get too much bread or other carbs to fill you up – so if you’re going for a combo, then I would go for the soup + salad. My friends also got the Peanut Curry Pasta Salad and I would not recommend it. It was full of flavor, but honestly, I don’t think they complemented each other very well in a cold pasta salad dish. Also, the pasta was drenched in sesame oil, which overpowered everything else. Could only take a few bites before giving up on it. Overall, the soup and salad was delicious and not too heavy. I will definitely come back for this dynamic duo!

Sometimes it’s the classics that win you over. For me, my passions as a foodie can always be swayed by the wonders of a perfectly executed soup. Perhaps a top-3 perfect comfort food? I’ve loved this place since I originally moved to Boston. On my very first visit they had Mulligatawny soup, which is the most insanely-flavor-loaded soup on this planet. And vegetarian to boot! I adore their Mulligatawny. I may never forget my passion for this particular soup. That said, the rest of their always-rotating soup lineup is incredible as well. Their sandwiches and salads are a tad on the pricey side for how much you get, but I’ll give them a pass on this simply on the flavors and tastes of their lovely soups. They are especially wonderful on the cold, brutal winter nights Boston can dish out. They aren’t always perfect — I’ve been there maybe once or twice when I found the soup was a bit heavy-handed in the salt department. But it’s been a while, may visits ago, since I’ve had that happen. This place should be considered a Boston staple, if not a Boston classic!

Looove New England Soup Factory. My boyfriend and I would get legitimately mad if either one of us got food here without the other, that’s how much we love it. The soup and sandwiches are always good. Even though the sandwiches are pre-made, they are still very tasty. On the other side of the restaurant there are hot meals where you can get a half chicken meal with various sides. It is always a convenient dinner when I don’t feel like cooking. My only wish is that they had clam chowder. I love the corn chowder, but I think the Soup Factory would make some awesome clam chowder. Maybe they have it as a special occasionally, correct me if I’m wrong, but I haven’t seen it available. Would obviously recommend!

I also have to add that the folks behind the counter are so nice. Happy to let you sample before you buy and, even when there’s a long line, they take their time to make sure you are getting what you want. Five stars reflects excellent food and super nice service.

This winter was a bad cold winter for me. Luckily this place created the Lemon Chicken Throat Soother. Just what I needed! I must have gone through gallons of the stuff! They also make a divine eggplant parm soup. Their soups are on the salty side, so I tend to water them down a bit, but I would like it if they were lower in sodium in general. Also my cabinet is filled with their containers, I use them as spare Tupperware. But I would love it if they sold a thermos that we could reuse, like Starbucks and their mugs. It would cut down on the carbon footprint and the cost.

We were just passing through, were looking for some food, and stumbled across this awesome spot. The soup was incredible. The sandwiches were pretty good too. The guy working there was super cool too. I totally would have kicked it with him if he didn’t have to work– another time, another place I suppose.

my boyfriend and i had lunch here today, on the rotisserie side of the operation. it was okay, but not anything i would have a yearning for anytime soon. i ordered the chicken breast plate which, on the website is advertised to come with two sides of your choice, as well as a sauce/gravy/dip, and there are other sides listed as well. this, to me, sounded awesome. however, the reality was a little different: sauce/gravy/dip: nonexistent. not even an offering or advertisement of sauce/gravy/dip. i love condiments and was really looking forward to this element, so i was already disappointed before i ate my food. chicken: a great example of classic rotisserie chicken. the bonus was that the breast portion came with the wing. sides: blue cheese & cranberry slaw: very much lacking in the bleu cheese and cranberry. this was basic cole slaw with just a few items of each smattered about. disappointing. haitian picliz slaw: very tolerably spicy, but not much other flavor. additional sides: i was excited for the sweet and spicy habenero pickles listed on the website, but they were no where to be found in the restaurant. warm pretzels: these were offered with either sesame seeds or parmesan cheese. i chose parmesan cheese. the cheese was fused together as a sort of tuile which did not adhere to the pretzel, so the whole thing fell apart. the pretzel itself was also not very hot. the grainy mustard served with it was good, but the pretzel did not live up to expectation. my boyfriend ordered the kobe beef hot dog in a blanket. it was fine, but nothing to write home about. it was served with a sauce that we think(think…) was honey mustard, but have no real definitive clue. his sides were baked beans which were very good, but his cucumber fennel slaw was entirely lacking in fennel flavor. service was very friendly and personable, but the food was disappointing for the most part.

From out of town wanted to try a local lunch spot and came across this. Got a New England Chowder and a chicken avocado wrap. The chowder was spot on, wrap was alright. Roll that came with it seemed fresh. Service was fast but the place was a little dirty. Overall worth a go if you’re visiting this area.

I love their selection of soups/amazing rotisserie sandwiches. I come here a lot for lunch and it is money well spent. They are great with their customers and have a lot of patience even when the lines are wrapped around the restaurant and out the door.

I had a conference nearby and dropped in for a quick bite. I thought I was having soup but I went into the entrance for the rotisserie dining. I was in a hurry so ordered chicken and some sides. Quick and easy, nothing wow, but it filled my tummy in a hurry… friendly staff and clean surroundings…

My eating partner decided one day that soup is what he’d like for dinner and decided to drive from Quincy to eat at this place. At first sight the place looks like a portion of a food court and doesn’t really offer much space. Give it a definite try because you won’t be disappointed! I got the corn and clam chowder and it was fantastic! There was a sweet, tang taste to it that made it difference from your typical chowder, but the uniqueness attributed to its deliciousness. I was given two sides of French bread which I would absolutely recommend. The crust was the right firmness that made it really special. It was an impeccable delight to break the bread in two and see the steam coming from the chewy center. It was probably one of the best French breads I have ever had…-and that is saying quite a lot! The employee who helped us, I did not catch his name(but he indicated he was attending Suffolk University and hoping to get accepted to their Masters in Finance program after he graduates), was incredibly helpful and very personable which made my first time experience here great

Decided to give this place a try for lunch today. That was a mistake I won’t make again. Should have gone to Panera, the food and environment are better and it is a much better value. Lobster Newberg soup was not worth finishing. Hearty chicken vegetable soups was a joke. I’ve had better tasting soup from a can. Grilled chicken avocado wrap was 75% wrap, 25% contents. Fresh City could have easily bested them on that one. Do yourself a favor, pass this place by. Or go to the airport if you are determined to eat mediocre over priced food!
