Take out was very mediocre. Spring rolls had that frozen supermarket feel to them. Broccoli w/chicken, Ginger/scallion/shrimp, both were unmemorable. I had tried lunch a month ago and had the same experience. Don’t like knocking a small family operation but In my opinion there are too many better choices locally.

Good thai place in the area. I wish they served alcohol or were byob but that is ok. They have very tasty dishes and the food isn’t too saucy or goupy. They have a real spicy tom yum soup which can be hard to find. The Tom Kah soup(coconut based) is also good. We got a few different dishes but everything tasted great. We didn’t even order pad thai because everything was good enough. Normally I feel obliged to order pad thai because I don’t trust the other menu items.

Again, such amazing thai food. You wouldn’t think it from the outside but please go there. I want them to stay in business! :-)

I’ve had the opportunity to eat here several times since my wife and I moved into the area a month ago. We’ve tried the various noodles and entrée dishes. I would say their best menu items are the pad thai and the pad grapow pork. The noodles are good such as the pad thai and pad see ew. The portions are smaller than other places I’ve gone to but it matches the reasonable pricing compared to other Thai places in Newton Centre area. I would definitely recommend this place if you’re looking for good Thai food for good value in the Newton Centre area.

Since first reviewing back in September, I can say this place has become my go-to Thai restaurant. Quality is always top-notch, flavors excellent, and the staff are wonderful, friendly, always smiling and always wanting to keep you happy! I’ve tried now a dozen different dish items, and have been thrilled with them all. Highly recommended. Suggestions: Chicken Larb, Ka Prow Fried Rice, Pad See Ew, and Pad Kee Mao

We found Manow because of its Unilocal rating and we’re not disappointed! the food was amazing — I had the tom yum soup and papaya salad which were both absolutely delicious and my husband had the crispy chicken pad Thai which he loved. The waitstaff were also adorable! The papaya salad was pretty spicy, but that’s how I like it, so that was perfect for me.

We discovered this place from Unilocal reviews when looking for someplace new to try in Newton. It really hit the spot! Everything we tasted contained fresh, tasty and flavorful ingredients. The service is also very friendly and accommodating. They had some dishes that are different from the usual Thai places in the area.

This little Thai restaurant is located in a small plaza in a residential area and from the outside you can see how modern and slick the interior is! The inside definitely has a nice vibe to it with all décor, lighting, furniture and etc. The restaurant can also seat ~24 people(they have 12, two person tables) and we didn’t have to wait for a table when we went for dinner. The staff was very friendly and helpful; they were always checking in on us to how we were enjoying our meal. Even though the interior and décor is very modern, the dishes are as authentic as you can get — love how well they balance each other out! Drinks: –Thai Iced Tea: not too sweet and you could really taste the tea in it, which is fantastic since the sweetness usually overpowers it, but not here! Appetizers/Salads: –Homemade steamed pork dumplings: smaller than expected, but they weren’t over or under-cooked. They were full of flavor, which is complemented well with the ginger sauce. (x)-Papaya salad(Som Tum): SPICY!!! A lot spicier than other Som Tum I’ve had so it started getting painful after a while. Flavors were fantastic, but the spiciness definitely overpowered the dish to the point where it became less and less enjoyable. So if you can really take spicy, then go for it, but if not, then I wouldn’t recommend it. Entrees: –Pad See Ew w/Duck: the flat rice noodles were perfectly cooked(I’ve never had these noodles cooked so well before!) and the sweet black bean sauce was the just the right balance of sweet and salty. The duck was also very well prepared, but their was an unusual amount of fat in the dish, which I wasn’t a huge fan of, but overall a great dish! –Khao Soi: this curry-based noodle soup was very light and not as spicy as I expected. The delicious curry was definitely more soupy, which makes sense, and the thin noodles were cooked perfectly(they are noodle masters or something). Overall, very pleasant experience here and would give them 4 – 4.5 stars! Service, atmosphere, authenticity, dishes, and price were all on point! Will definitely be back for some more Pad See Ew and other traditional dishes! *Note: Dinner prices are a few $$$ more than lunch so lunch is even more worth it than dinner IMO!

Som Tam, papaya salad is impressive for my Thai taste buds. It may heat up some non-native Thai customers.

Manow just opened in the Four Corners area. It’s in a nice convenient location and offers a nice addition to the area. The outside and inside look much better than the area restaurants. I ordered takeout, but I would definitely feel comfortable dining in. The Pad See Ew w/chicken that I got was excellent. When I opened it, I sat there for a bit to soak in the nice aroma. The noodles had the right sticking power — a bit but not a single blob, the chicken was cooked well, and the Chinese broccoli was nice to have in it too. Their menu looks good, filled with standard Thai dishes and a few extras. I will definitely be back and try out more dishes.
