I have been going here for years. They are awesome. Very friendly and care about their patients/customers. Bob is the guy I see when I go in. I could not be happier with an optical store. Thanks guys

I’ve had several great experiences at this For Eyes location. The man that helped me(I can’t remember his name, but he had a stellar mustache) was helpful, friendly, and patient. I noticed that they had great rapport with other customers in the store as well. Finding the perfect glasses frames can be a frustrating process, but I am so appreciative of the help at this For Eyes location!

Thumbs way down! I’m a long standing customer of the boston location and do like that store. I had a small repair for a pair of sunglasses and was given a small screw there but was unable to attach it without the right tools. Stopped into this store asking for help and was turned away immediately, just no no and no. Hard to believe they couldn’t attach a tiny screw. Went directly to Pearle Vision a mile away(at For Eyes suggestion) and got the fix I needed. Baffling.

This place is terrible. Employees are rude and do not honor commitments made a short time before as to price. On top of that, they find it amusing when customers are unhappy. Horrific.

I have gotten many pairs of glasses over the years here. Occasionally, a lens might pop out due to a loose screw or such and I had taken them there to get the glasses adjusted with success — until now, No customers were in the store. I gave my glasses to a woman employee(perhaps the same one as reviewer Lauren P) and she took a cursory look at them and told me they had been stepped on(they weren’t), The holes were out of alignment, and that there was nothing she could do. I asked her if she had some needle nose pliers which could make the slight adjustment necessary. Still there was nothing she could do. Couldn’t you even try? No. Surprisingly, she didn’t even suggest maybe reordering the frames(which are fairly inexpensive compared to the lenses). It seemed she just didn’t want to be bothered. She shooed me out with a «have a nice day.» I left seething at the lack of evena willingness to help Arriving home, I found a pair of needle nosed pliers and in about a minute, had the holes realigned. Guess I’ll get one of those little eyeglass screw kits and move my future business to one of the other local eyeglass purveyors, all of which seem to have much higher ratings than this business.

My wife came in with a Groupon. Despite all the signs advertising $ 99 glasses, the woman behind the counter said that lenses for my daughter were $ 160, and that we needed to pick frames for at least $ 99 more. There is nothing unusual about my daughter’s prescription. I could not believe what my wife told me. It sounds as if For Eyes, or at least this one, doesn’t want to honor Groupons.

I’ve come in to this location twice to get my glasses adjusted. The second time I came in, a very rude woman acted as if I was making a ridiculous request. She told me my glasses couldn’t be adjusted and there was nothing she could do. She also told me I was mishandling my glasses and that is why they looked uneven — umm thanks? Meanwhile, about a month earlier the male employee I mentioned very kindly took my glasses and used a machine behind the counter to loosen them. It quickly became pretty clear to me that this female employee was determined not to be of any help to me for some reason. Such a bad experience.

The service received today was the best I’ve had to date at For Eyes. My mom and I entered the store and immediately started perusing for glasses. The Optician came over to assist and was welcoming and helpful. Jim Cohen was extremely helpful and went above what I expected with his service today. He asked about my selection, got up and assisted with finding the right glasses, explained the change in my prescription, asked about my sunglasses and when to bring them in if I want to upgrade to new prescription, contacted another store to find out about aditional savings, asked about the type of health insurance I have, and explained the promotion at . Absolutely superb customer service today!!!

Lack of Customer Service. Overheated. Stood at the reception desk for 10 minutes before I was addressed(during that time, two sales representatives came to the reception desk). Also, the sales woman told my glasses were«banged up» and that«you need new glasses» in a condescending manner.

Decent selection. The optometrist there was really fast and friendly, which always helps. My glasses took awhile to get to me, maybe a week or two late, but the people here were professional and apologetic about it. Apparently, they kept breaking the lenses at the lab. I was a bit apprehensive about the condition of my glasses when they did finally come in, but no worries. They’re awesome and I get compliments on them all the time. They’re the type that have hardly any frames around the rims, and are instead riveted into the lenses themselves. Check that style out, they rock.
