Newton Highlands Playground

This «playground» is basically a sad wasteland for rejected backyard play things. The zip ties along the fence/​old tires/​tarp make for… uh… charming decoration? I can’t believe this place is a legitimate playground actually mandated and maintained by the town, but apparently it is, according to the sign attached to the fence. Pretty sad it’s the only option I could find for a «playground» in the area. There is a baseball field and tennis court, which I guess might be nice for the older kids.

This playground includes an open field for playing football or baseball, tennis courts and basketball court. But I am mostly interested in the tennis court and I play tennis there occasionally on weekends or week nights. I recommend the tennis court — it’s in good shape to practice your game plus there is plenty of parking available as well as local convenience store to get your bottled water.
