Stop & Shop Supermarket

I stopped shopping here. Sometimes the whole store will smell like the meat department didn’t feel like cleaning up properly.

Bought the Buffalo chicken wings. They were in the cold case. Didn’t expect them to be frozen solid and inedible. This us why we go over the bridges to market basket.

When I need to grab something fast or the commissary is closed, this store comes in handy. I appreciate the hours, they usually stay open pretty late.
Unfortunately, the produce selection is seriously lacking. There have been a couple of times that I have pulled something off the shelf within less than 2 days of it’s sell by date (kind of frustrating when you are shopping for the week).
Unless you have a member card, you will be paying much more than reasonable for things on «sale».
Overall, good for a quick store run, terrible for a serious shopping trip.
I’m only in the area for a few short months but I am surprised there is no Whole Foods in the area.

Go store for all my needs great selection, and always in stock. I would recommend it to all my friends and family!!!

I know my last review was all funny and stuff but sadly I need to update with some serious business to consider.
The produce here sucks ass. They NEVER have organic kale and the dudes didn’t give me the damn Stop&Shop card discount… like… seriously? I’ve never had a check out person not scan a card when I didn’t have one. Till now. So next time you see those semi-​reasonable prices, be armed with the card.

This is my go-​to supermarket. A huge selection of everything… but even to the point that you can sometimes not find anything because the place is so huge. I really wish they’d give you a store index or something.
Or better, hire ANYONE over 16 so when I ask for Metamucil they know what it is and don’t text all their friends on their iPhones that some guy is looking for an enema or condoms or something. Well… that would happen if I could ever find someone to ask, there’s never anyone around except the cashiers.
Anyway they have good weekly deals and kick Shaw’s patootie on most everything (including a fairly logical layout, which Shaw’s doesn’t have). The deli and fish counter folks are super nice and fun to talk to, if you’re like me and enjoy talking to strangers.
