This is not the place to go if you want good service. My husband and I went in looking for a part for our broken lawnmower in hopes that we could get it mowed at least a few more times before the snow falls. We looked around for a minute, waiting to see if someone would come out and greet us, but there was no one in sight. When we finally stumbled across the workers, one was sitting on a bed, and the other was sitting on a stool with her feet up on the counter. We had to interrupt their conversation to ask if they had the specific part, and the response we received was«we’re not getting anymore in». There was no offer to order one for us or to let us know of another place that carries them. We had to go all the way to Bangor for a nice man from Sears at the mall to tell us that there is a Sears Parts store on Hammond Street that keeps that part in stock. Surely this is something that the Newport Sears workers should know. But alas, their presumably shoddy customer service training has failed them. We’ll be making the trip to Bangor from now on where the workers don’t act like you’re doing them a disservice by showing up in their store. If you want to avoid a similar experience, you should do the same.
