Parker Pie Wings

I went here last night with some friends and ordered a pizza that was described as being very spicy, the «Bangkok Disco». It was very undercooked and anything but spicy. My server took it back to kitchen and then brought back the same pizza that had been heated (that part was fine it needed to be cooked more) and spiced up, but again it wasn’t spiced anymore than it was. My server brought it back to me and took off, it was very busy! Much later When she saw I handnt eaten much of it she said, «you didn’t like it did you.»
And that was it, no offer to order anything else, no reduction of the bill, no half hearted apology.
I left hungry and see no reason to ever go back there.

We have eaten here three time since it opened. Although it is owned and run by the same people who own the West Glover Parker Pie, this one just doesn’t have the atmosphere of the original restaurant. To its credit, the beer and food are very good. The view of the airport is interesting, although few planes use it.

This review concerns only Mexicali Mondays — which I do not recommend if you are expecting good Mexican food and good margaritas. We arrived expecting to see maybe 5 – 7 offerings and there were only two — tacos and the tostadas.
We began with chips and salsa — the chips were good, but the salsa had little heat or flavor and appeared to be made with canned tomatoes — in not-​very-​appetizing large chunks. It is late enough in the summer for them to have access to fresh tomatoes and cilantro as well as jalapenos. We next ordered both the specials, trying the tacos in a variety of fillings. All I can say is bland, bland, and bland. We ordered nachos last, but not Mexican — buffalo wing nachos, which had the spice we were looking for.
Three out of four of us ordered margaritas and were very disappointed. One member reordered and, with a different bar tender, got a better drink.
What we learned from this experience is to stick to what they do best — beer, wings and pizzas.
