Very clean and very friendly. I have never had a bad experience here. I never have seen a wash at your own risk sign, and all the machines are in working order. I drive 15 miles to get here and don’t regret it.

Always went to my parents house to do laundry. Was a chance to visit and in terms of laundry, they have soft water. Clothes turn out much better with soft water. I sensed it wasn’t an ideal situation for them so I went on Unilocal and searched for the best laundromat I could find. One thing I know is that the public water in Kentucky is better treated and softer than in Ohio. So searched for NKY and this place had best reviews. I have tried a few laundromats in the past and all were dirty and unkept. A women named Patricia was working today. She sensed I was new here. She went out of her way to tell me which of the multitude of washers would best fit my needs and how not to waste my money uselessly. While here I saw her sweep and wipe down the machines multiple times. The dryers here are insanely awesome. There seems to be a vacuum system added to the normal heating you would expect. Clothes dry twice as fast. On my way out I am going to have Patricia weigh my clothes, if it doesn’t cost more than $ 50 I will begin to drop off my laundry. I trust this establishment. Idea… Put in some large flat screen tvs. Sports /News /ect on close caption. Idk? I may add a 5th star if my second visit is as good.

This place is great! Very clean. The attendant Lisa is awesome and super helpful. She is the master of all things laundry including fitted sheet folding. There are always kids for my son to play with so he doesn’t mind tagging along. I have a washer and dryer at home, but like to get it all done at one time. Definitely recommend! Also, side note, you can walk over for a beer while your stuff drys and not have to worry about it getting stolen. Love this place.

Great laundry service and quality of staff. $ 1/lb and done super quick. Hang or fold; delicates or casual wear, you tell them how you want it done and if not they are so well experienced they always handle all your laundry w/care. So lucky to have been referred here.

Nice people, great service. Started with a bug covered car filthy inside. Best wash I’ve gotten in a while. This was my first visit. Worth the drive from belview.

Look. I’m with my girl Cindy(below). I’ve had friends move here from larger cities like New York, San Fran, Chicago, etc and they’re always frustrated that no one does laundry by the pound like the cities they’re from. Newport Wash & Tan is a life saver! Patricia(the woman working when I dropped off & picked up) was the nicest, kindest woman! Her customer service was exceptional! I dropped off 5 weeks of laundry(hey don’t judge!) and because it was a slower night she had everything waged & folded/hung up(yes they hang your clothes too!) within 4 hours. Now, I don’t know about you but I would GLADLY pay $ 1/pound to have my laundry washed & folded for me especially since my apartment does it have an in unit washer & dryer. I will definitely be back on a regular! So happy I found this gem.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I feel like a ton of movies have scenes featuring drop off laundry, or laundry you can have sent out etc. Every time I see one, my boyfriend and I look at each other and at the same time say, «OMGCOULDYOUIMAGINEIFTHATEXISTEDHERE?!» And let me clarify, by here, we mean 5 minutes from our house, is convenient, and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. Well my friends and former change collecting, laundry hating groupies, a place like this DOES in fact exist! I stumbled upon this place on Unilocal and thought, what is the catch? But in dire need of clean laundry 24 hours before we left for vaca, I thought what is there to loose? Here’s how it went down… «Hi. Is it true you will take this dirty laundry, clean it, fold it, hang it, and have it ready in two hours?» «Yes.» “And I don’t have to pay for detergent?” «Yes.» “And you really will fold my clothes?!” «Yes.» “And I can pay with a credit card?” «Yes.» “No, but seriously, this is real?” «Yes.» WHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAATTTTTTTTT!!!(EXPLOSIONOFMYMIND, but trying to keep my cool) «Okay then, well I’ll just leave this here for you…» (Turn around, immediately text everyone I know explaining that I totally just tricked someone into doing my laundry, and that she is even going to FOLDIT!) Get in my car, take a deep breathe and realize I will actually have clothes to wear on vacation. Come back, swiped my card for $ 18 bucks. I REPEAT18AMERICANDOLLARS for an entire bag of clothes. All of my clothes, and my bf’s clothes. And walked with the wonderful woman out to my car to hang the nice items, and put the folded items into my car. I’m telling you guys, I seriously almost cried. Newport Wash and Tan is a freaking godsend, and is worth every penny in the busy crazy messed up world we live in today. My stupid coin laundry is $ 1.50 each, is tiny, and never gets the clothes clean. This place only charges $ 1 a pound! I usually have to take an entire sunday to do it, and then I leave them wrinkly in a basket and never finish it. Not any more. THANKYOUNEWPORTWASHANDTAN!!!

Love this laundromat! I’ve been to some pretty bad ones and this one is great! You can’t wash rubber backed rugs here, but I’ve asked and they said if they aren’t the cheap kind it’s okay. It’s a little more expensive than other ones, but it’s worth it because of how nice this place is.

I did not do the tan in wash in tan, but it amuses me to no end that this is a combination washer and tanning bed biz. Newport Wash & Tan is old school, which is a nice way of saying it’s old. Tucked away in a strip mall, this place is your average washer — rows and rows of machines as you walk in, tacky faded posters for people getting their clothes washed or getting tan in the window, ugly yellowish floor, you name it. I was there to drop off laundry. I had a ton of tablecloths from an event I did and needed them washed. I brought them into the place in a giant heap and the woman behind the counter didn’t even bat an eye. She picked them up, weighed them(it’s .80 cents a pound for dropped off stuff) and then told me it’d be about $ 30 and they’d be done by 6pm. Sure enough, they were ready to go. In fact, not only ready but clean, expertly folded and placed into two plastic bags. What took me two annoying trips to get them in was one very easy trip right into my car out. Awesome. Don’t expect anything special from this spot, and who the hell knows what the tanning is like. But for drop off wash, hot damn, this is the place.
