Knights Inn Newport

After many months, Wyndham did the right thing, apologized again and is issuing a 50% refund. Hurts a little less at that price. They thought the hotel had directly remedied the situation, but never heard from them. So thank you to the Wyndham customer care.

Wonderful service, bright, beautiful, clean rooms, and very affordable. We checked in here after leaving the Travelodge down the street because the room at the Travelodge reeked of cigarette smoke.
The man who helped me at the front desk here at the Knights Inn was professional, quick, kind, and helpful. I got a room the same day (in October) and he answered all my questions about their amenities.
The internet worked brilliantly and the bed was comfortable. I like that they have the disposable cups in sealed plastic so you know the cups in the room are clean and haven’t been used before, and the countertop in the King bed suite I got was a nice touch. They have a small area for a continental breakfast in the lobby, but my partner and I had stayed in town over night so we could have breakfast at La Maison (amazing pastries!), so I can’t speak to their breakfast at Knights Inn, but I’ll definitely stay here again after the positive experience.

Yuck! That was the dirtiest room I have ever stayed in. I didn’t want to touch anything. The carpet looked dirty. The chairs were dirty. The linens felt dirty. The towels stunk. This was a cheap room that still cost us nearly $ 100!

Worst motel experience of my life. The reason we chose this place, and have chosen Knights Inns in the past is that they’re pet friendly. This couldn’t be further from the truth. We weren’t in the room five minutes before they were complaining about our dog and this is after we paid $ 45 in additional deposits. We ended up leaving and when we tried to get our money back they said they couldn’t give us a refund. After much deliberation, we got all but $ 25 that they kept for a cleaning deposit for a room we were in for thirty minutes. Save your money and stay on bay st. By the time you pay all of the additional deposits for your pet, it costs the same as a room with an ocean view.

Definitely a budget motel — which, when everything was booked for camping, worked for us. The sheets and towels smelled clean. Room was old but functional (the tv, microwave, mini fridge, and room décor). My biggest complaint and the reason I will not stay again: there is no ventilation for the room and our bathroom vent didn’t work. There was a window, but it had no screen and opened into the hallway and so there was no privacy when we wanted to air out the room (after a shower or in the middle of the night).

Kinda dirty. Good price for budget kinda people. But it’s just not that clean here. Not the worst by all means though.

Was excited about this motel because they were pet friendly and were affordable, so we made a last minute reservation here and were told that they would save us a room. After driving a hour, we went straight to the motel to check-​in, only to be told by the front desk ‘oops’ and that they had just sold our room…
The desk then attempted to call a few other motels and lied about another hotel that was pet friendly having openings to get us to leave.
The rooms were small and didn’t appear to have any windows from what we could see from open doors, but I wouldn’t actually know what they look like because they gave away our room.
Definitely worth any extra money and time looking anywhere else in town because I wouldn’t trust this place with handling my information after seeing their lack of integrity.

I love this motel. Whenever I’m on the coast, I use this place. Service is awesome and really want you to feel comfortable. It is close to other places I want to visit on my trips, so I can really use it as a hub. Parking is convenient and check-​in and check-​out is quick.
Great value.

This room was Clean, Neat, Warm and didnt smell like lots I have encountered even tho its pet friendly!!! I didnt have a view but thats ok I wasnt paying for a view! The staff was more then accomidating and very very nice. Its my place in Newport from now on! Great room for the price!
