For my second genital piercing I wanted a new piercer. Nothing wrong with my first one but I wanted a new experience. I found Nathan Morelli on
, so I traveled from Grants Pass to Newport.
I had myself an ampallang piercing, the most painful of all piercings! I did it just because I wanted to try something new and crazy. My first piercing was an apadravya, and I didn’t see the reason why I couldn’t go up one more. I guess you could just say that I like pain :~)
Nathan was great! He was always a couple steps ahead of me, this made it more comfortable as I didn’t have much time in thinking about what was coming next. No doubt he would have stopped or given me time if I asked but I was already ready for what was coming and he was very ready for making it happen. It is amazing and frightening when you watch a 10 gauge needle enter the most private of body parts, it is also more frightening when you realize that the needle still must come out the other side. Worst f’n pain imaginable, but I did survive, and what a rush it was!!!
It has been over a month now and the piercing is perfect! No problems at all. I sometimes still can not believe that I did it, but I have no regret in doing it. I honestly wouldn’t mind doing it again if I could.

Crazy 8 Tattoos are thieves.
I just want to make sure no one else gets ripped off by this company. I set up an appointment they had me put down a deposit. They called me and cancelled my appointment. They gave no reason nothing. I asked why they said I was lucky to get an appointment anyway. I asked for my deposit Beck so I could go somewhere else. They said no. I asked why. They said it’s against policy. I asked about another appointment. They offered one on a day a had to work. I couldn’t do it because I had to work. They said will I’m sorry but looks like we can’t help you. I asked again for my deposit back they said no. They then told me I was being rude. This ask came from a private number not s business number. So I called and left a message asking for my deposit back. They called my wife and started off I come back on there property I will be arrested and they never give deposits back even if they are the ones that cancel. You are warned!

Had terrible experience with customer service. Both employees seemed il prepared and unable to do their job. If I was the owner I would want to know that his employees cost him hundreds in current and future work. Remember word of mouth is the best advertisement… Really disappointing

I have had two tattoos done by Kari and one rework done by her also-​I will not go to anyone else. She has such amazing talent and helps me come up with the best tattoo and the best placing possible. She is very nice and fun to talk to as well. I highly recommend Kari for all different types of tattoos, especially flowers, water colors, and scripts, which she has done on me! Love her and her professionalism and friendliness.
I don’t trust anyone else but Nathan for my piercings and jewelry. I got pierced by him for the first time five years ago and I had such a great experience that I’ve come back to him time and time again. I have a total of 5 piercings done by him, and all of my jewelry is from him as well. Very knowledgable and friendly. He is also very calming when you are nervous and very patient in assuring that you are happy with your piercing. He is also part of the safe piercing association, so I always know that I am getting quality, safe piercings and jewelry.
I highly recommend crazy eights in general to people who are looking to get a tattoo or piercing. Always professional, clean, and friendly. I have never had a bad a bad experience in the five years that I have been going there for my tattoo and piercing needs.

Love Kari… She spent so much time with my consultation and was very collaborative. She has a certain level of intuition and described the tattoo that I had in my head with minimal explanation. Nothing better than a psychic tattoo artist, lol. Her abilities as an artist go beyond the traditional… Abstract and out of the box is totally obtainable. She treated me very well and loved her cleanliness.
Nathan is an incredibly sensitive and professional… His touch when peircing was very gentle and was super knowledgeable. My ears that were pierced wrong years ago (Clair’s:(3^rd hole) are now healing

Yesterday, my friend and I both got our first tattoo there!
My friend was a little more anxious than I was and Nathan-​who was kind of working the reception-​did an amazing job at reassuring and listening to us. We asked if we could come in early and they found some time to see us before, which we used to talk about design. However, we got our tattooes done one hour after the time of our appointment (5pm instead of 4), so don’t take an appointment if you have other plans right after that. However I did not take a star out as I understand the need to take one’s time when it comes to inscribing something on skin forever.
They were very professional and clean. We had our tattooes done with a lady (whose name I don’t remember right now) but who was very gentle, artistic and knew what she was doing. She cleaned the station with chemicals in between sessions and everything was coming out of a new package– she even changed needles between my friend’s text and drawing. I felt very confident in what she was doing when I went next. Also, I was expecting some bleeding from what I read online but I hardly got any (only on one spot she insisted on, and hardly noticeable).
Just a note to prepare your visit: they only take cash. I was lucky enough to notice the sign before my appointment, but I thought that it would have been embarassing if I hadn’t known so you should know.
The tattooes were pretty affordable. My friend and I payed $ 80 each. For something that never goes away, and given the high standard of the shop, I thought that was pretty affordable for something that you get to keep for life.
Also, a funny fact is that, when I told two people in Newport I was going there to have a tattoo done, one person told me: «oh yeah, I heard that they were great.» and (on a separate occasion) the other person said: «I need to go there to have a tattoo fixed that I got with my dad, and I would definitely recommend them.»
I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in Newport who wants to get a tattoo done. I did not do any piercing with them, but because I know that Nathan does that, I am very likely to recommend them for that too.

I had John Leach do my second ever tattoo. Remember what happens in Newport stays on your arm forever. With a deft touch and a great sense of my own vision, John created something that obviously will be with me forever but also something that I will be proud to show as well!!!
The shop was as clean as could be, precautions taken everywhere to ensure cleanliness. You can tell that they take pride in having a very nice shop and are not the grungy thought of tattoo parlors of days gone by. The wife and I both got tattoo’s that day and they look amazing after the healing. I would have no reservation in going back and getting more. Really addicting, but the pain sometimes makes me think twice.
The wife also got a piercing in her inner ear as well. Called a Dolph (I think I spelled it correctly) according to the wife is very painful but looks amazing. Again great care was taken in the preparation for the piercing, all equipment was taken out of it’s own fresh sealed packaging, so again no worries about the hobo who got their #^@& pierced!

Came through Newport on a vacation and found Crazy Eights Tattoo and Piercing Shop. I went in to get my nose pierced and Nathan made it a really positive and good experience, he really knows what he’s talking about. Very good work. Definitively would go back when I’m in the area again.

John and Nathan create an environment so comfortable and awesome that you can’t help but love it. The quality of the work is second to none. You will not regret this decision.

I’ve been to Nathan several times for some cool but tasteful piercings. Past piercings other places have always become infected and given me trouble. I didn’t have ANY problems with the high quality jewelry he uses, and places the piercing in the CORRECT place. His cleanliness is refreshing! My daughter wanted a certain piercing and he actually told her NO due to her still growing and that it might not migrate right as her body changes. I totally respected him for that. He is professional, fun, and REALLY KNOWS HIS STUFF!

I went to Crazy Eights for a simple ear piercing. I had gotten my ears pierced some months ago at a mall kiosk and had a bad result. Nate, at C8’s helped me to reopen my piercings and get me back on track. I now have a quality pair of earrings and they feel and look wonderful. I was completely satisfied with the consult, the cleanliness, and the professional attitude in their shop. I would recommend C8s to friends. I will be back again to get additional ear piercings.

John fixed my koi fish that I wasn’t happy with from my first artist (Albany). He wanted to make it something good and didn’t charge me much at all. I am SO happy with my tattoo and his demeanor and excellent artistic ability and fast and effective communication. All of my friends have had the same above the top experience from John and his staff.

honestly, if i hadn’t wanted a tattoo really bad, i’d have walked out of the place. the rude, self righteous, pretentious, attitude from ²⁄₃ of the staff was really not appreciated. they never made me feel welcomed or comfortable, or that they appreciated my business in the very least. it was like i was wasting their time. in the end, i was happy with my tattoo which is the most important thing, but the whole experience was really a bummer, and i would just walk on by and find another place if i were you.
