I love this place! My husband and I used to frequent this place about 12 years ago. We got divorced, then got back together about 3 months ago. We still love to go there to drink, eat, play the meat raffle, play pool, and always meet someone new! Love the food! And sometimes we even win playing pull tabs! Relaxing atmosphere, but fun!

Quick lunch stop(1÷22÷16)! Was talked into going to this place knowing that it wasn’t going to be all that pleasant(past experiences). To my surprise, the burgers at this place aren’t half bad! I would compare them to a Smash Burger, but with some salty and peppery flavor, not flavorless. They buttered and grilled their buns(always a plus in my book) and there was plenty of meaty morsels falling in my basket. It’s a no frills, nothing glamorous or unique — classic all-american, bad for your diet burger! Sadly, I would eat at this place again over some of my favorite spots which have started to decline a little in their quality. In fact, I would eat hear before eating at places like the Hard Rock Café, Applebee’s, 5 – 8 Club, Matt’s and PLENTY of others… So, if you’re looking for the type of burger you’ll find in downtown Minneapolis(probably on a gluten free bun with organic ingredients of some kind and flavorless), the Clover Leaf isn’t for you. If you’re a meat and potatoes kind of guy and just want what I described in the last paragraph, get a burger here! Not too shabby!

It is a pretty typical small town dive. I’ve never been here at night, but the morning breakfast/lunch is dynamite! The food has always been great and the screw drivers strong. The bartender/waitress is friendly and quick to notice you.

Fantastic dive bar located off of highway 10⁄61 in Newport. Apparently it is a biker bar, but it sure seemed like your standard neighborhood bar the both times we went. Bingo on Tuesday nights at 6(which was more fun that I thought it would be), a pool table, lots of seating, and fabulous bar food(the burger I had was out of this world). Drink specials are just okay, but the service isspot-on(even when we went on a crowded Friday night when they were hosting a fundraiser for a 3-day breast cancer walk team. I won ribeyes at the meat raffle! A few TV’s to watch the Twins and a few regulars drinking up the storm complete the experience. Can’t wait to go back!
