So I have to admit that I had no idea this place was even in Newport until about a month ago. They’re quietly located right in East Row, and I only came across the shop while riding my bike around the neighborhood. I took a quick tour of the place, made a mental note to order something from them soon, and moved on with my day. Then this month, my mother(being the little local shopper that she is) ordered my birthday flowers from A New Leaf so it was the perfect opportunity to see what they could do. I have to say, I couldn’t recommend the place more now. They delivered the flowers on time as promised, and the arrangement was beautiful. But now here we are over a week later, and the arrangement STILL looks awesome. I’ve spent a ton of money on flowers in the past only to have them die in three days flat so I am blown away by the quality of this store’s product. So check these guys out. No sense in ordering online when you have a place like this around!

I am totally remiss in not reviewing A New Leaf Florist sooner. They used to be located right next door to The York Street Café, but have moved to a more prominent(and visible) location on 3rd Street in Newport. Fresh, innovative and totally unique designs for cut arrangements and potted plants. For my baby shower, my mother wanted to send a «thank you» to the hosts, and since the shower had a bit of a woodland theme(our little one is named after a wildflower), we mentioned that and they made up these gorgeous square pots filled with live mosses, mushrooms, real violets and other real woodland plants – like miniature fairy gardens. The hosts stil have them 3 years later and they are thriving and as gorgeous as the day they were given. As a gardener, I grow tired of seeing the«same old, same old» bouquets and delivered cut flowers you see in almost every florists shop. A New Leaf truly has a up-to-date take on fresh flowers and design. No «cookie cutter FTD» stuff here!
