We have been to both Lowe’s and home depot, had some questions just moving to the area and found Al in the plumbing isle. He took time to answer our questions and was attentive to our needs something you normally don’t find in a appliance/hardware store. We will definitely come back if this is the norm for their customer service.

We were out of town escaping Blizzardville in DC. Our shovel broke so we were in search of another one. All the hardware stores were out. The employees were nice, even though they couldn’t help us.

Great place to go for cheap moving boxes, Uhaul is really over charging me for cardboard boxes.

Home Depot is Home Depot. I didn’t know they had free WiFi until my recent visit. Nice touch for the customers. This Homedepot has all the stuff you’ll need for your special project. Staff always friendly and helpful!

the kitchen appliance and counter top people there are amazing. they helped me through the process of remodeling my kitchen. they help guide me to what i need and not what is the biggest and most expensive. the selection was great. but if you are going to buy a new kitchen sink with them, go online and get a close idea to what you want. huge selection. when i had some issues with the contracted counter install company, the people at home depot where right on top of it and made me feel as if i was their top priority. i will definitely recommend them to a friend and family for kitchen needs. their flooring and tile people are very helpful too. if the store doesn’t have what you need, they know what places you can go to to find it. i gave it 4 stars for the store over all. the layout and placement of products could use a little help. but all you have to do is ask an associate and they will take you right where you need to be.

Minus a star for being out of the 10′ package of hose… had to buy the 20′. Seriously, who doesn’t love visiting this place?! Just the smell of wood and drywall makes my day. The staff has always been helpful when I ask, and I can always find stuff easier than at Lowes. Lowes always looks way more busy… They probably have cheaper prices. Oh well. Easier in, easier out at this one. The self checkout is usually set to silent too… I HATE those yelling at me. OH!, almost forgot. Santa Clause works at this one. The guy is awesomely friendly. Helped me find a space heater once. I figure he really knows heaters…

I used to go to Home Depots consistently but they’re definitely going down hill. EVERY time I go, all of the big lumber carts are spread out all over the parking lot, which makes it a royal pain to find one, lug it all through the parking lot, then into the store. Maybe they gather them up and put them in the front of the store at night but obviously they never retrieve them throughout the day. Lowes always seems to have them not only close to the store, but I was pleasantly surprised to see them lined up right next to the lumber — great, easy idea. The other really annoying thing is that they have decided to put all sorts of junk/crap in displays right in front of the main front aisle that’s in front of the registers. Moving one of those big(or even normal) carts, especially with wood is a precarious task at best, especially if someone’s walking the other way. Finally, they need to teach their paint employees not to bring their crappy pathetic problems and attitude to work(especially you, the woman with the butch pink hair). I went up and asked a simple request — Could I get a gallon of this paint color(I brought in the existing gallon container) in eggshell instead of flat please?(yes, I did say please). She looked at me like I wanted her to mix it AND paint my entire house). Luckily there was another worker for her to b*tch to so her anger was partially deflected from me. Next and probably not finally, at times they only have the self-checkout lines open. Oh, so I’m supposed to lift this 4X8 sheet of plywood onto the scanner ? Oh and don’t bother to get a key made here — last 2 times I tried they didn’t work. I always go to a local Ace or whatever to get them done right.

Big box hardware concern, with a uninspiring shopping experience. Not a fan of either Lowe’s or Home Depot. Way less floor help than Lowe’s(so it seemed today). Could not find the item I went looking for. If this place floats your boat, sail away. It does not for me. But, neither does Lowe’s either. Meh. @Removeyourhat
