Starbucks

I don’t want to give a bad review. I’m not sure what the issue here at this location. It has happened to me a couple of times so I decided to write one. Im not sure why the barista don’t fill my Venti drink to the top. They alway leave about an inch off the top. They even do it to my frap and try to cover it up with whip cream. Is it that hard to give me what I paid for. If I wanted less drink I would have paid for a grande. I don’t have any issue with the taste of the drink but please fill my cup I’m not ordering wine.

Great location, same great food and drinks. I gave it two stars because the staff is extremely dismissive. They need to learn better customer service and treat their paying customers nicely. It seems that just because they have a huge line, they can talk to the customers any way they want but they can’t. I’m very disappointed to be treated this way. I wasn’t even done ordering when they were already helping the next person. Disgusting.

This Starbucks is clean and and fast. I’m glad there’s a Starbucks at the south coast plaza.
BTW they for my order right! My go to us ice coffee cinnamon dolce.

This is probably the first time I have been wow-​ed by the design of the place. Their lines get pretty long, but don’t worry they are quick! They aren’t very keen on producing your order on time (and sometimes they don’t even get it right). Since the location is so prime, there is even a line for the bathroom at some points. Around lunch time good seating is seldom. But let’s talk about the real thing we want in a Starbucks…
Wifi, their wifi is speedy and rarely lags. It holds multiple tabs and programs well. Most importantly, video watching is smooth and there is no buffering. All and all the spaciousness of this Starbucks along with the food, and great wifi leaves me coming back week after week for my weekly Starbucks routine.

I work in fashion island and since I’m here early and have to do all sort of things in the morning I put a mobile order in, when I get there today to get my mobile order the barista was extremely rude, she slid my drink to me didn’t give me a straw and I also had a bagel she talks the warming bag on the counter and slid the cream cheese and knife without offering to put in with the bagel or to even offer me a bag? I used to work for Starbucks and even if it was a hard morning I never acted this way to customer, I also work in customer service, you’d think this girl would be nicer, all the other employees were great as usual I would name the girl but I didn’t get it

I constantly visit this location, practically on a daily basis and the service is consistent and amazing !! All of the staff is great and genuinely friendly! Especially today I placed a mobile order and was caught up by the time I made it pick it up the food was cold but Jonathan reheated it for me and topped off my drinks ! Thank you I truly appreciate it !!

I am slowly starting to not like Starbucks. I get a simple english breakfast tea latte and somehow this location always seems to mess it up. Usually they give me Earl Grey instead of English Breakfast on accident, I never ever want Earl Grey. It’s gross. They are two very different teas.
One time I asked a barista to re-​make my latte because it was watery. He told me «for the record, milk is watery» when handing me my remade drink. Foamed milk is not watery. It’s definitely thicker.
I only seem picky because I used to work at Starbucks. I know how easy it is to make a tea latte and how to do it right. It’s just frustrating how they can mess up such an easy order.
I’ve taken my business to the e-​bar at nordstorms. They have yet to mess up my order, the lines and waits are shorter, and on the plus side +they’re cheaper.

Like everyone begins their review — I’m totes not a Starbucks type, Nor am I huge on coffee —
But I could not be any more stoked on my experience here!
Between the amazing variety stretching from coffee to some of the best brews of beer; coupled with an enthusiastic collection of some of the top servers that can be found at any dining in Fashion Island, I can’t imagine why patrons would dream of choosing any establishment other than this particular Starbucks.
Arriving frazzled and unsure of where to even look on the vast menu overhead–
I was more than pleased by the prompt, proactive, and knowledgeable barista’s whom must have recognized the look of a lost foreign exchange student upon my face.
Two gentlemen (who may have very well been brothers?) named LeeRoy and Hakim (I think?)
Hakim with his moxie, and LeeRoy with that Hollywood appeal, we’re nothing short of a true delight!
In almost a sing-​song fashion, the two young men proceeded to bestow upon me a quaint antidote covering not only the history of Starbucks, but almost a mini-​tour and highlights reel of Fashion Island and O. C. As a whole!
We shared many laughs and sincere moments, along with my much deserved after work-​out glass of wine .
I could sing the praises of LeeRoy and Hakim until the cows came home!
Kudos to whomever found these two gems and had the smarts to put them on display right here for the world to enjoy!

I love this Starbucks, it’s convenient for me on my way to work. All the staff here is great very friendly and professional.

Working .2 miles away this is my daily Starbucks. I used to be a partner and I loved my time working for the company, what I think most barista’s fail to recognize is that customers start almost every single day with Starbucks. You are our first stop before work. So the experience that we have is really important, Matthew understands that-​he remembered me after going only twice and he knows who I am with and without make-​up on (shocker)! The morning crew all work really well together and my order is never wrong. THANK YOU FOR WAKING UP AT 4am for us.

Massive starbucks location. I guess it’s brand new. I only stopped in for a quick coffee, and I probably wont be back for a while. It’s definitely a nice place. The line was super long, so we actually ordered our drinks through the app and stepped out of line. Much faster to order through the app. Mobile order your drinks so that you won’t die waiting in line… just sayin.

I literally come here before my shift and the baristas are super friendly! This is the best experience I’ve had with any Starbucks. Super spacious so it’s good to study and the drinks come out fast and delicious as always. Would definitely recommend when you’re strolling through Fashion Island!

Honestly a really nice Starbucks! However the barista who took my order was probably one of the rudest barista that has ever served me. I asked for an order of a venti iced black widow and he rudely responded that they don’t that anything called a black widow. So I explained what a black widow was (half black tea and half ice coffee). As he placed my order, he continuously rolled his eyes and would further rush me for my order when I have not even completed what I had to say. Afterwards, he even charged me more than this usual cost by charging me for half and half. Half and half is ALWAYS free… they even put It outside for people to put in their coffee. Overall a nice facility with a great atmosphere, but HORRIBLE customer service from the barista. I believe his name was Kadeem.

This Starbucks is ALWAYS busy! But they are fast.
I have one recommendation for any Starbucks App user: MOBILE ORDER! You will walk in through a crowd of caffeine deficient shoppers, hear your name called & walk out very very quickly, because they will be talking about you!

I love the new Starbucks location next Macy’s! It’s much more spacious and modern than its original location hidden near Neiman Marcus.
There’s a large amount of seating areas both inside the store and outside. The service is fast and efficient, and the staff and customer service is friendly and positive. They are always polite and they’ve started to remember what I want to order during each of my visits… which unfortunately shows how much I go to Starbucks for coffee (too much).

Disclaimer: I don’t get the Starbucks culture and I never have. Quite frankly, I miss the old independent cafes with smoke, poetry readings, alternative magazines, good music, and tattooed and pierced baristas. I came here because I received a gift card, I wanted a cup of coffee, and I wanted to get some work done (after Unilocaling).
What I got was a sterile lounge full of captains of industry on their teleconferences, Real Housewives, and shoppers taking a break from boosting the retail economy. There was actually a line to order at approximately 10:15 am (Wednesday). I am a regular black coffee kind of guy, and they did fill my traveler’s mug in record time. The place was packed, so I decided to hit the library instead.
OK, it was actually because I left my glasses in the car, but it was really crowded in there.
I didn’t really notice their wine and beer selection. That seems to be what distinguishes this place from your average Starbucks, but isn’t this «innovation» something Cosi has been doing for years?
Anyway, if this sounds appealing to you, welcome.
Tip: I registered my gift card and I now seem to have more money on it as a result. Score one for the mermaid.
Tip: You get a 10 cent discount for bringing in a reusable mug, and they sell them for a dollar. No excuses now, Starstrucks (I just made up that term for the addicts).
Tip: Portola Coffee is so much better than this, it can’t be measured.

I went for their evening menu and bought a glass of wine. My boyfriend got a beer and I must say I was impressed with their selection of craft beers as well as their wine selection. It was a very different and enjoyable experience to go to Starbucks and buy alcohol rather than coffee. When they brought my glass of moscato it was accompanied by a small bowl of sunflower seeds. They seemed to be flavored with a mesquite chipotle seasoning. Which was not bad and very interesting. The atmosphere was very relaxing and I recommend coming here and NOT purchasing coffee.

This location is really busy. All employees are really great. They have a clover coffee machine which makes coffee taste so much better.

Use to frequent the location by R&D Kitchen. Now have the opportunity of going to the location by Macy’s. It’s so spacious and updated. I love the rustic vibe.

Love this new Starbucks location. It is conveniently located right in front of the parking lot near Macy’s. The space is huge with plenty of tables inside and out. The service is pretty quick, and the shelves are well stocked. I only came in to pick up a drink, but can’t wait to be back to enjoy my drink in store!

This has been my go to Starbucks after they closed down/​moved the one in Costa Mesa. That one now has a drive through down the street, which is awesome, but it’s such a hassle sometimes to get in or out of that complex.
Anyways, this was the one that used to be the one near Neiman Marcus and that parking structure. I was surprised that they were closing and moving locations next to Nespresso and closer to Macy’s (there’s also one on the first floor/​basement level of the Barnes and Noble but they don’t take gift cards or gold member cards). The barista who used to get my orders doesn’t seem to work here anymore :(he always knew what my orders were and gave great customer service lol. The other baristas there are awesome too though. They usually are on the dot with my orders and I don’t think I’ve ever been disappointed with this location. The baristas are always friendly and funny giving you laughs while taking your order. They love to have fun and get your drinks out fairly quickly. This particular Starbucks gets really busy in the mornings around 8am, very busy during lunch hours, and usually pretty chill around 7/​8pm. Yes, I probably shouldn’t get late night coffee cause I’ll be wired, but sometimes a girl’s gotta have her coffee haha.
Now that Starbucks have their ordering service on their app, it’s so convenient to order, drive there, and just pick it up and get out. The new location is very well designed and they’ve got a larger patio area now with umbrellas and a good ambiance! The inside has a super clean and hip look to it and eventually they’ll have a late night/​evening menu where they will also serve alcohol and food! Can’t wait to try that out! Good vibes here :) props to you and love you guys!

Gorgeously modeled newly relocated Starbucks at Fashion Island. This store was previously Located between whole foods and Neiman Marcus behind a parking garage which made it difficult to see. The new location is not only larger but much more visible on the wraparound parking between Bloomingdale’s home and Macy’s.
The huge wraparound patio has about four times the outdoor seating compared to the previous location and it was still packed when I came!
High-​end finishes throughout including gorgeous circular tile feature wrapping through the interior and wraparound wood benches on the outside.
Wish the Starbucks locations in Yorba Linda were this fancy!

GREAT AMBIANCE — VERY MODERN & CHIC — This is a brand new Starbucks, serving sandwiches and other foods, and soon will be serving beer and wine. They have gorgeous countertops, immaculate white flooring, comfortable banquettes and plenty of room inside and out. This is such a step up for Starbucks, who was already doing a fantastic job. Great addition to Fashion Island as the other location was way too crowded!
