I took tennis lessons here through the City of Newport Beach every Saturday morning for a few months. The facility is fine and it’s rarely full. If you go before 9 a.m., some of the courts are slightly wet from the morning sprinklers.
Sometimes you get older, more serious tennis players who get upset when the students’ balls bounce into their courts. That can be annoying, because you shouldn’t have to feel bad about your beginner tennis skills during classes. And, if they’re really that serious, they should join a tennis club.
Easy to get to from MacArthur, hidden from street view, and easy parking.
