WOW, what a great surprise! the pizza is just fantastic, pasta just as good and valet parking! If you are coming from the beach and have that «carb craving» and looking for wood-​fired pizza this place is just right!

Great view, quick service, and fun atmosphere. Appreciated our server, Chelsea’s guidance on the menu. Enjoyed watching the boats go by… while we all switched plates throughout dinner. The penne with meatballs and fettuccini alfredo were really good.

Holy Cow!!! This place is outstanding! Tyler and his staff really know what they are doing. The food was absolutely incredible and the staff was unbelievable and accommodating. I had a party of about 30 and they sat us all together and took care of all of our needs. Food and drinks were delivered promptly and the staff did a great job keeping up with the wide range of orders. Just want to say thank you for making our wedding unforgettable!

They have happy hour every single day, even Sat and Sun, woop woop! ½ off apps, discounted cocktails and $ 6 mini pizzas. The bartenders are cool too!
4pm on a Saturday: 4 seats open at the bar, some spinach and artichoke dip, margaritas and mai tais. We’ll be back!

Great customer service. We had a 20% off coupon. Came here based on that. How lame can you be to forget the coupon? Told waitress and she said let her talk to manager. She came back with the discount on our bill. The food was very good. We didn’t but if you come after 3 pm until (I forget) it’s half off on appetizers and discounted drinks. I still have the coupon so will return for sure.

Really tasty pizza. Delivered right to dockside with perfect timing before our cruise. HIGHLY recommended. Thanks Tyler and staff!

Stumbled across this super cute hidden gem as I went to the wig shop next door. Figured I’d give it a try. I was greeted by the owner Tyler as I arrived before they opened for lunch. He was so nice and inviting as he let me in early and sat me at a booth with an amazing view of the harbor. Tyler was super personable and you can tell he cares about striving for excellent customer service.
My server Jared was super nice and efficient. He served me with a smile and made sure everything was perfect.
But the food!!! WOW!!! Deeeeelish! I ordered the salad & pizza lunch special. I thought it was a fantastic deal for the portion. They don’t lie when they named it «best salad»! Very fresh and light salad! I just love the combo of cranberries, Gorgonzola & pears. I had the sausage, pepperoni & mushroom pizza. Super fresh topping and a perfectly baked crust. I could only eat half cuz I was stuffed. So now I have dinner!
The view, amazing service, great ambiance and delicious food will bring me back and recommend Pizza Nova to friends and clients. I can’t wait to return with friends and family for dinner. Full bar with fun cocktails and nice wine selection is also a bonus!

Tried this place for the first time on Sunday, Memorial Day weekend. instantly loved the vibe and décor! Location and view is awesome plus they have dock access!
2 of us sat at the bar and was immediately greeted by Jake, the new bartender. he told us it was his first day off training. He was fantastic, thought he would have been an old pro!
The garlic rolls are amazing obviously and we had a Spinach, Proscuitto and Roasted Tomato Pizza… absolutely fantastic! Not too heavy, the crust was perfection and the flavors were just the right combo!
I had a little incident with some drunken douchebag where he knocked over his chair, it hit me behind the knee and I buckled falling all the way to the floor. it was mortifying and he didn’t even apologize! (That’s how drunk he was) Then some other guy at the other end of the bar started talking trash saying how girls are all so sue happy these days, and that even if I had a scratch that I was going to sue… UGH! Excuse me??! I was just trying to hold back tears from the huge bruises I was about to have! Jake the bartender witnessed the entire debacle and was quick to apologize for him and the guy was kicked out (he really could barely walk by the time he left) The manager came over and got the details of what happened and again was super apologetic about the whole thing… The only reason I’m including that part in my review is because of how well it was handled by staff and management professionally and very kindly.
I can’t wait to go back (minus the drunken d-​bags!!)

I can’t think of a more perfect place for good beer, good friends and a GREAT View. Whether you are arriving by car, foot or Duffy boat, Pizza Nova is the ultimate Newport Harbor restaurant. The service staff is phenomenal, the beer selection diverse and the atmosphere is unbeatable. Every time I think I’ll go somewhere else I’m drawn back to my Pizza Nova for the consistent good service, great brews and good food!

They are limited on parking so they enforce a $ 6 valet. The view is great, the drinks are good but the pizza is only okay. It didn’t leave my taste buds wanting more. There are better pizza places in OC. Fuoco, Square One, even Round Table. I don’t see the big deal here.

The the bartenders and manager and servers all around is just great the beers are great the prices are reasonable they have a boat docking slip area so come down and have some fun

Just a great place to hang out here a great pizza and beer and at a great price. And they have a boat docking area which we love for we have a small boat, and they have my boyfriends great beer of all time mirror pond pale ale

Food is delicious. For happy hour it’s pretty decent for specials. Their House Salad is so good, never tire of it.
The restaurant is usually clean which is important. The staff is very friendly and attentive to your needs and requests.
Come visit them soon if you haven’t already. Your tummy will thank you.

I found this place on open table and we went because well. who doesn’t love pizza? Let’s just start out that the pizza was amazing. It was very fresh tasting and was real good. We got two pizzas which were the Gorgonzola pear and pizza nova. I do don’t leave feeling heavy and bloated.
The service however sucked. Horrible. I had to ask other servers for refills but was told I’d have to ask MY server. Hmm no. It was super hot in there and the lighting was so dim that I felt like it was nap time. Also the 6 $ valet which was your only choice is ridiculous… so we parked down pch and walked.
If you like really good food minus comfort and service, go here. I had to only give 3 stars. I’ll go back for the food or try another nearby pizza place which there are many.

I went a second time with a group of folks for a birthday and the food was again excellent. The server was very nice and didn’t have any issues what so ever. There was a manager that roved the floor checking on the tables as well which was refreshing.
Seemingly my first time issues was a one off situation? Upgraded to 4 stars :-)

My wife and I visited Pizza Nova for the annual Christmas Boat Parade (If you’re from OC, it’s something you should do once — then check off your list as «done»).
PN varies from 3 – 5 stars overall with a slight round up from me due to experiencing the the excellent service that many have described from the GM Tyler. As advertised, he’s «the man» — ask to speak to him when making reservations — he helped to accommodate our changing plans and worked everything out perfectly for us. In the restaurant, Tyler circulated the floor visiting the tables — making sure everyone felt welcome and was having good evening. As you’d guess 5 stars for him!
The location is 5 stars as well. Most tables and the bar have a very nice view of the harbor. They have a private dock if you are arriving or leaving by boat. The dock is also a good place to watch the parade — you can have part of your meal pre parade, then go out on the dock and return to your table for the rest of your evening. If you stay at your table, the restaurant turns down the lights inside to view the parade.
We like to eat tapas style and try several items — started off with Smoked Salmon Crostini, 4 stars. Second was their Hot Artichoke dip, it was pretty much the same as anywhere — 3 stars. Next was Oven Baked Garlic with pesto, goat cheese and grilled sourdough. Can’t go wrong with roasted garlic — 5 stars. Wanted to try their pizza — went with a small white pepperoni — 3.5 stars. After watching the parade; our plan was to split an entrée — we were so stuffed and just couldn’t eat anymore!
They have several craft beers — however none sounded very good, and the one I went with was just ok. I think places should have a few beers that have a wider appeal, like a Dos XX or Blue Moon — just in case what the craft list doesn’t strike your fancy. 3 stars on that night, but the beers change.
There is a per person minimum for the boat parade — the table is yours for the evening — not really a problem until we found out that it didn’t include alcohol! It wasn’t like we were sitting there not ordering and going cheap — we just got full — spent plenty but without the drinks on the bill we had to buy about $ 80 on a gift card. Money is money in this case, that policy doesn’t make sense — and it wasn’t ever mentioned that it was food only. 2 stars.
Valet Parking is a must — and only $ 5 –5 stars!
They have a Woodstone FireDeck oven — just like mine (only a little bigger) — and an open kitchen it cool hanging out and watching the guys work.
Overall it was a good evening, Casual and not overpriced — especially given the location. I was very happy with that. I look forward to visiting again to try an entrée and some more of their pizza creations (and to use the gift card!).

Received a message from Tyler thanking for my review, after reading it he mentioned that he has added a Golden Road Hefe on tap and an easy drinking White Ale by Ballast Point. Always nice when a place values it’s customers opinions and works to meet their needs. Once again proving that Tyler is a 5 star plus in my book! Thanks Tyler.

Came here after the HB Color Run & it was wonderfully empty! Quenched my thirst w/​the Ginger Julep (nonalcoholic) & it was so refreshing & tasty, esp. As it’s 80+ degrees out says before Thanksgiving! My friend & I both ordered the Sundried tomato pesto linguine w/​goat cheese & added chicken breast. Nutty flavor from the pine nuts & the creamy rich flavor from the goat cheese make for an awesome combination! Needs salt, but excellent otherwise! Hubby had the meat pizza… very good, & the other hubby in the group said his meatball sandwich was good. I think the pastas & the view make this place!

This place is nice with a view of the dock. They give complimentary Garlic Rolls that are truly addictive! Once you have one roll you can’t stop! I’m salivating with the thought of them! YUM!
Came here on an evening with my mother & cousin. We found this restaurant through Unilocal with the intent that we can find a new pizza place apart from our once favorite but AWFUL SERVICE, Mozza Pizzeria. Unfortunately they don’t compare to Mozza’s delicious pizza & salads :(
The service here is off the charts AMAZING! We loved the attentiveness of the staff but in the end it’s just not our go-​to pizza place. I may come here during Happy Hour after laying out on the beach for some fun dining but that’s about it.

Holy moly. The garlic rolls were divine. I’d come here anytime for the garlic rolls (complimentary) itself. The pizza was decent. It’s more of a thick crust pizza if you’re into that thing. I would say that Mozza pizza serves better pizza, but for the excellent service and plethora of toppings on our pizza, I’d come again. I would give happy hour a try, since their drink prices seem to be wayyyy more affordable than the regular priced menu.
And did I mention the garlic rolls?! SO GOOD. Again… garlic rolls. It’s a must.

So, the first time I came in, we didn’t have the greatest first impression with our server, but the second time — OUTSTANDING. I had previously left a tip on Unilocal about that first impression, and Tyler the GM reached out to me. My boyfriend and I came in this evening and he gave us a first class experience. He was so genuine in ensuring that the experience was a great one. I believe if the food is good but not necessarily service, then second chances are always best to give!
We checked in with Tyler and he sat us at a fantastic spot and we got 2 glasses of champagne. Then Mary greeted us. We ordered the calamari and roasted garlic as appetizers. They were amazing! Calamari was tender and the spicy marinara and lemon aioli complimented it perfectly. The roasted garlic was just so tender and easy to spread on the toasted bread it came with. We also ordered a pizza to share– the portobello mushroom and pancetta (with black truffle oil!!!) pizza which was also fantastic. Very rich, but so good.
Tyler offered us a complimentary dessert so we obliged– the tiramisu which was also great! Mary was an excellent server and so friendly. I really do like this place and everyone we met who worked there was very nice. My boyfriend and I definitely will be back for another great dining experience! Thank you Tyler for a wonderful dinner and ensuring your patrons are happy and especially ones who want to return and be regulars!
