We hosted a corporate event here with 60 attendees. The venue holds up to 125 but is most suited for ~50 people. Our event had tray passed appetizers, wine tasting, and live music. I have planned and managed many corporate events, and Terri is one of the best hosts I’ve ever worked with. The grounds are exquisite and the staff could not be more upbeat and accommodating, it creates the perfect environment for an upscale happy hour. I highly recommend this venue, as the staff will be dedicated to your event’s success and go completely out of their way to make sure your attendees have a wonderful experience. Thank you for an incredible experience!

They are not open to the public and with a $ 60 per person and 8 person group minimum it’s no wonder they are Orange County’s best kept secret. Sad, sounds like a great place, I wanted to take my wife there for a date.

This is the epitome of a hidden gem. I felt like I was driving in the middle of nowhere before I arrived at this winery, then to my surprise, I was introduced to a beautifully lush vineyard that made me feel like I was transported to another world. This winery is located close to the airport and is easy to access, though parking can be a bit difficult. The passion that the whole team has for the vineyard and their vision for events that take place there… it’s incredible. Whether you are here for wine tasting or want to host a private event, you have found the jackpot. Make sure you get a tour of the entire vineyard grounds(and maybe even the owner’s property) because it’s just so well taken care of and you feel at home. The wine cave is, of course, the best part. Wine barrels typically line the wall. The dim lighting offers an intimate atmosphere as you are enjoying food and wine with your group. The patio is lined with tall barstool tables and more wine barrels, but this time used as tables. The whole winery is so eco-friendly, and all the décor is very well thought-out. I can’t describe this in any better way than… solid five stars.

I was in the area for work and was traveling alone. My goal on my day off was to find a close winery and get to try some great wines. Based off the other reviews, I drove to this winery. When I arrived, there were signs saying no public tastings and to respect their privacy. Apparently, if you are only one person, you are not welcome. Sad that I drove out and had been so excited to try a California winery, I left… with a bad taste in my mouth. I gave it two stars only for the look of the area(minus the signs).

I booked a wine tasting for a party of six. When we arrived, we were kindly greeted by Colin who led us to the cave. The cave is beautiful and the charcuterie is provided by Vin Goat in CDM Yummy!!’ They had an eloquent display of cheeses with black truffle salami, fruits, nuts etc … We had an amazing time! My friends really enjoyed the wine tasting and the tour of the grounds. A one of a kind spot in Newport Beach to take in the sunset overlooking Back Bay during your tour with a glass of wine in hand. Excellent choices of blended varieties, and friendly conversation with your host and friends! Colin is awesome!!! We added to his tip because it was a fabulous time:-). I’ll be booking an event here very soon with another group of friends:-)

Ambience is exceptional. WOW!!! Our experience was phenomenal from start to finish. This place is amazing, the service & atmosphere is great. We came to celebrate a going away party and had approximately 50 people attend. Justin worked with us to personalize the venue and service and exceed all of our expectations: a line-up of fantastic wines straight from the vineyard, music, valet parking, tour(s) of the vineyard at sunset, and a wonderful selection of food. I have received so many comments from the guests about what a unique and enchanting venue this is. The staff is polite, attentive, and knowledgeable. We will definitely be back to this magical place! Thanks for a memorable evening.

I can’t believe I haven’t written a review on this well-kept secret! I’ve hosted the Annual USC Alumni of Newport Beach Wine Tasting 3 years in a row at this venue. As far as outdoor venues go in Orange County, this place is hard to beat. It’s a magical place tucked away from the hustle and bustle of OC, yet only 10 minutes from our store in Irvine. Once you’re there, you’ll forget you’re in OC. It feels like you’re in wine country except for the occasional overhead plane. The grounds are lovely yet rustic, complete with a vineyard and wine cave. Their wines are excellent, especially the OC Red. Their staff are friendly and professional, and they offer a valet service. You can hire your own musicians and caterers. Highly recommend for any special occasion!

Richard Moriarty said(teary eyed) he never thought it would grow into what it is today. I knew otherwise with the right team it became what it is and continues to grow. With Richard’s good idea«how hard can it be to grow grapes and make wine… every family in Italy seems to do it! Richard asked me to help him start the venue and over 15 years in the restaurant industry, who opened several restaurants and worked in many very successful corporations in Management, Event Planning, Computer Programming, Web Site Design, as well as the right questions and answers from generous people. We fearlessly trudged together and built Newport Beach Vineyards and Winery. Eventually… Managing a Venue, going to full time school and managing a large household meant that an assistant was in order. A mutual friend suggested Justin Myers and the rest is history. Justin took our little business and built it into what it is now. He was not afraid to exercise new ideas and to get the help that he needed Justin is also fearless and loves a good challenge. Hundreds and now thousands of people come to an event and many say«I did not know you existed and I have lived here my whole life!» We nod and say, «YES, it is Orange County’s Best Kept Secret!» There is a transformation that happens when people come, nature, serenity, great service, and a memory that will last a long time. I am grateful and I am sure I can speak for Richard that we could not have made it without all of the people who have made us what we are today. I could not have asked for more! I called this place for a business event that I was organizing. The team(especially Jeff) was very helpful before the event and made me rest assured that everything was under control. They called a week before to check in, they provided everything I requested around catering. The day of the event the venue was decorated very nice, the hostess were all helpful and available. The event was done very tastefully and every detail was covered. My customers who attended the event were happy, they were impressed with the place, with the wine, with the food which made me a happy girl. I will come back to this place again, I did not have to do much with coordinating my event which gave me more time to focus on other things that I had to organize. THANKYOU Winery team for everything, great night to remember…

Came here for charity event paid $ 50 and got yelled by the owner for not picking grapes for the entire 3 hours??? Last time I checked we paid you $ 50 to work? Owner was a complete b*tch took the fun out of our experience! This is no way to run a business! Don’t come here!!! Only come here if you want to pay to be treated like a day laborer! I would give negative stars is Unilocal allowed it!

We used their facility for a fundraising event and it was absolutely amazing. We were in the wine cave area and the location set the tone for a nice relaxing evening. The wines were amazing as well and they offered them to us at a discounted price since we were a nonprofit. They had an area set up for our caterer behind a tent area so our guests didn’t have to endure the behind the scenes action. The location is great because it is a lot closer than most wineries. It isn’t hard to miss where the winery is, BUT you’ll definitely miss the driveway into it. They need more signage. Minus one star for lack of signage.

This review is long overdue! I hosted my 30th birthday party here and everything was perfect! Justin and the rest of his team were super accommodating and made it a night to remember. My guests were commenting on the amazing venue and great service all night. Many were unaware that there was a vineyard right in our backyard. This is the perfect place to host a special event that guests won’t soon forget. My favorite wine was the Wretched Excess. Thank you NB Wine for an AMAZING night!

My friend hosted her birthday party here, and it was a super cute venue. They had wine tasting, which were all reds. Bottles range from $ 35 and up. We liked the 2006 Back Bay Curvee California Meritage, which was $ 35 a bottle.

This place feels like a beautiful getaway without the impact on your mileage. It’s perfect for any special occasion. The beauty of this place is that it only hosts private parties. It feels like you have the whole winery rented out for your group without the impact on your wallet. Note: They do not host weddings. The owner of the property has a modern house at the top. You can see him ATV-ing through the grounds working on and up-keeping the place. I believe he is a horticulturist/agriculturist. He has unique taste in skulls and in re-using his resources, but he still manages to make the place look classy. They only serve red wine here. The owner decided to only plant red grapes here so if he didn’t get much business, at least he could enjoy his property. Smart dude. Man cave is a long tunnel where we spent most of our time. It was a nice intimate experience where we were served 4 different types of wine, breads, 4 types of cheeses including a French sharp cheddar-like cheese, fruit spreads & honey, nuts, dried fruit, and fresh grapes. Our server Ulesis was awesome. His name alone says it all. He gave our birthday girl a bottle of her favorite tasting and was pretty much our photographer the whole time. We got a nice tour of the vineyard from Chris, who also acted as our photographer as well. He refilled our cheese tray, too. They really are quite generous, especially on the cheese. Usually, they only accommodate at least 8 people, but we only had 6. They made an exception because our birthday girl was so nice over the phone. $ 35 + tax + 20% gratuity was well worth the full 2 hour experience. That’s pretty cheap in my book. Parking lot is small so consider carpooling if your group is very large. Plus, you don’t want too many winos on the road. Downtown Newport Beach is a close drive if you don’t want the day to end just yet. Highly recommended, probably one of my favorite wineries I have visited.

We volunteered for their grape harvest this past weekend and had a lot of fun! They served us a light breakfast and then when we were done picking a light lunch with some of their cuvee red wine. On break, we explored the grounds a bit. They have a beautiful koi pond, victory garden, chicken pen, and lovely landscaping throughout, not to mention a wine cave. I don’t think they’re normally open to the public other than for special events, but if you get a chance, try their wine available through their website( ) or at the Irvine Ranch Market not too far away.
